    Acting Avatars

Having been dragged into RL stuff last night I felt that I could not really do a great lot in game last night before I would have to head off for some sleep, so I left as just as soon as I logged in.

In some time before I headed off though I managed to play around with Photoshop a bit and thought about making my own Dunelm Group Actor Avatars.

    What do you think?
Eleven - Played by himself! hehe
Leon Tasker - Played by Nathaniel Parker.
Adam Dennison - Played by Reece Shearsmith
Do Lo Might - Played by Phillip Oliver
Iron Works - Played by, well, it's a little bit obvious!
Steel House - Played by CGI Silver Surfer with a Visor I put on from X-Men's Cyclops to try and match the in game toon.
Dr Brian K Roberts - Played by himself. Although in RL he is a Professor of Human Geography.

Only thing I can't seem to do is get an animated gif to work that some have. If anyone fancies a go though, be my guest.

Ideally if you can have them in the same order I have listed and have their names flash up before or after the picture, whatever makes more sense.
  2. All I have going through my head at the moment is creating a cut scene of Leon Takser, Eleven and Adam Dennison looking on at a mob before Do Lo Might comes out of no where and charges at the mob and the team saying...

Leon: Ha-ha! There goes our tank!

    Eleven (nodding): Ooorraah!

    Adam (thumbs up): OOOOORRAAAAAH!

  3. ((Wrote as this as I was busy this weekend having a great time with Impervium Tower on CoV and thought it make a decent newspaper article.))

((Plus I have done this to try and tied over my contribution to the RP scene while I am still working on making articles concerning The Dunelm Group which I hope can go towards a Capes Special.))

((News in most of Rogue Isle’s major newspapers))

Metal Monster creates “Weekend of Terror”

There have been reports over the weekend of Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of a number of incidents occurring across the Rouge Isles that seem to be all connected because of the involvement of what at the moment can only be described as a “Towering Metal Monster”.

The first reported incident was at the small amusement arcade centre, Six Slots where a group of Tsoo had taken a number of staff and patrons hostage allegedly in retaliation to a racketeering ring ran by the gang in St. Martial that was recently stopped by local Arachnos enforcement.

Witnesses to the incident state that from out of nowhere a huge humanoid structure that was estimated to be around 7 foot tall with spiked horns on it’s head, crashed into the building and quickly proceeded to kill all the Tsoo that were involved with the hostage taking. Our contact within Arachnos in St. Martial denied that this metal being was under their command and in fact they had put out alerts to other Arachnos divisions about this creature as they were getting news about it attacking Arachnos facilities.

And there were a number of separate incidents of this around the Isles, although the majority were in Grandville. There are considerable numbers of Arachnos soldiers including members the infamous Bane Spider squadrons who are currently in intensive care in hospitals around the Isles. One source we have within Arachnos confirmed that there was as many deaths of soldiers as there were soldiers in Intensive Care Units.

But it does not seem that this was a targeted attack against Arachnos alone. We have heard reports that the vigilante group of Longbow also suffered similar attacks towards their own installations by what appears to be the same metal being, based on the descriptions given to us in these reports.

Aside from the established organisations, there are also reports around the Isles of piles of dead gang members from the Freakshow with some literally torn apart. There is also the story of piles of Devouring Earth carcases spread around a cemetery in Cap Au Diable as well as dead Rikti in a separate part of Port Oaks that nearly equalled the amount of defeated Rikti in the area where the bulk of the fighting in an invasion attempt occurred.

Crey Industries also appeared to have suffered over this weekend. Although the company was quick to dismiss reports that The Countess Crey herself was severely injured in an attack, as The Countess was never in the Rogue Isle over this weekend, they did confirm that a number of agents were forced to engage against and repel a significant threat to the company that attacked a number of its warehouses and other business outlets and that casualties did occur.

While many probably will not shed a tear for some of those that lost their lives from the various gangs hit, it is still disturbing to hear stories of this happening around the Rogue Isles. But it was the news the kept filtering through to us on the Sunday evening that made this story something that all citizens of the Rogue Isle should be concerned over.

First was the news that five Super Powered Vigilantes from Paragon City had to be transported to medical facilities in separate incidents. The five names were Luminary and Swan of the Vindicators group and Serifina, Malase and Mirror Spirit of W.I.S.D.O.M. These “Heroes of Paragon” are not the most popular around the Isles but for all five to have to seek medical attention because of one being over the course of a weekend should surely be a grave concern for all.

But it did not stop there. Other names of Super Powered beings started to come to us that have had to receive medical treatment over the weekend, this time celebrated soldiers of Arachnos. These were Silver Mantis, Barracuda and Ice Mistral. Perhaps the most shocking news of all was the unconfirmed reports that Scirocco himself, one of Arachnos highest ranking soldiers, was allegedly confronted by this metal being and was defeated.

While Arachnos officials quickly denied that Scirocco was injured in anyway, we have heard from sources who do not wish to give their names that Scirocco did require help getting to Arachnos’ main medical facility in Grandville. Arachnos officials however did confirm that the other three Soldiers of Arachnos did require some medical help over the weekend but that it was not serious.

The final report we received that seem to involve the same metal monster came from the area of Paragon City that is known as The Rikti War Zone. Although Vangurad refused to comment on any question we had about this story, we received word from sources there that a War Lord of the Rikti was in the area preparing for an assault. Vanguard were aware of his presence and were preparing a Super Powered task force to take on this War Lord but the Task Force was called off when news came through of a sudden retreat by the War Lord after being attacked by a lone metal being.

No other groups have come out claiming responsibility for any of these incidents over the weekend. We can only speculate at this time that this being is working alone and it is ether a calculated person who is powerful enough to design such daring attacks and be successful, or worse, there is an uncontrollable creature on the loose.

Officials from around the Isles are hoping that this weekend was a one time deal though. Since going to press we have heard no new stories concerning this “Towering Metal Monster” and hope that this continues to be the case. All Isle officials however have urged all Rogue Isle citizens to remain vigilant. As well as the still present dangers of Rikti bombing strikes and the usual gangs that plague The Isle, that you should keep a watchful eye out for this 7 foot metal being with a crown of spiked horns on its head. Report any suspicious activities to the nearest Arachnos soldier and do not attempt in any circumstances to confront a suspect that matches the description that we have given.
  4. Alright marra, hows tricks?

You can take a look at my Warshade build here

As you can see I popped 3 End Enhancements in my Nova with two To Hit Buffs. The End recharge is not as good as 3 slotted Stamina but I found it to be enough to keep me going that little bit longer, hopefully enough to take down targets before having to rest.

Of course like you say when Stygian Circle comes into play, its not an issue anymore, even more so if you have downed a large mob.

As far as the To Hit Buff over Accuracy in the individual powers go, you can see I went 2 To Hit Buff and no Accuracy. I'm not really one for number crunching. My take on stuff is it ether works most of the time or it doesn't. For me I hit my targets most of the time, which was good enough for me. Although I did pop 1 Accuracy in my Fluffy pets (Dark Extraction) so that if my Nova did miss, then I would have a decent chance of my Fluffy Pet hitting the target to make up for it.

Take my build for just another guide and have a tinker on maybe with Mid's Planner to see what you get.

Of course since meeting Erik (AKA Liz Bathory) at Omega Sektor, he has got me rather interested in number crunching when it comes to IO's. My Warshade now at Lv 43 is a absolute monster as I have just mentioned in another thread today.

I can't even imagine what its going to be like when its stacked up with Lv 50+ IO's!

    its people just playing Poorly.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    This.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yep, what he said.

The thing about Warshades is that you have to be extremely patient when building one when picking up powers and slotting at the right time. It's probably not until around Lv 34 or 38 that a Warshade starts to really shine.

You also have to be a bit patient with your play, and this is hard when in a group because most just dive right in. Best thing for a Warshade is to look at the upcoming mob to see what nasties are there. Voids and Quants are obviously a priority target. Other Nictus beings can be hazardous to the team, especially them ruddy Cyst Crystals! Then specific danger enemy types for that particular mob, Sappers for Malta for example.

Then there is being aware of how long it takes to get a Warshade up to serious pwnage mode. Blasters can fire Aim and Build Up almost instantly, and Tankers and Scrappers the same with build up, but Warshades need time to fire Eclipse for the increased damage resistance, Double Mire for the increased damage output then changing back to a Nova for blasting power or firing off quasar.

If you keep this in mind though and practice your play with team mate that you play with regularly then you'll soon be picking off mobs in a matter of seconds. Especially a few mobs down the line when you have 2 Fluffy pets as backup!

I teamed my WS once and the team leader jokingly asked me to stop mauling the mobs and leave some for the rest of them!

And as far as Tanking with a WS goes, they make a pretty good makeshift tank. The only thing to remember is to not stay in Dwarf mode all the time otherwise you are not helping yourself or the team. Make use of the powers in human form to set up a mob for a trashing in Dwarf mode and return to human mode when done to recharge yourself with Stygian Circle and create another Fluffy pet if needs be.

Although the drawback with tanking with a Dwarf is that you need to keep spamming its taunt power to keep the mob on you as Dwarfs do not have the Gauntlet inherent power that tanks have to back up taunt. Plus the Peacebringer Dwarf has 2 single target attacks and 1 AoE attack where as the WS Dwarf has only the 3 single target attacks. Sure the third helps you a bit in draining a single targets health and topping up yours a bit, but sometimes a team might want that third PB Dwarf attack to take a group of foes down. That is if they don’t mind the knockback of course.
  6. Ok, today I finally got round to completing the remaining two character pages from my list of toons.

You'll find that Eric Bridgeland and Dr Brian K Roberts are now complete.

There we are then, thats all of my toon pages done with maybe only minor edits to do in the future.

How long has it taken me, about 6 months or something!
  7. Over the course of the last 2 weeks I have been doing some serious updating of many of my pages.

Here's what I have been up to.

    Completed Leon Tasker's page.
    Completed Do Lo Might's page.
Edited Impervium Tower's page to add the fact that he is now part of The Court of the Blood Countess.

I have also done a serious re-con of one of my toons. Warshade Eleven does not exist anymore!

I have re-cond the character name to Adam Dennison and made him an old friend of Eleven's before Eleven went on his warrior lifestyle. For some reason having a alternate Eleven that was a Warshade did not make sense to me anymore.

*Thanks NC Soft for Character rename option so I did not have to rebuild another Warshade from scratch with new name!*

BTW, I have cleaned out Warshade Eleven's page and changed any links in the wiki that refered to him to now point to Adam Dennison. Is there a way I can totally delete the Warshade Eleven page?

Only toons left to write for now is Dr Brian K Roberts and Eric Bridgeland. Hopefully I will have at least one of them done by the end of next week.
  8. For once it seems quiet this night in Founders Fall. There is hardly anyone walking the streets and there were no villains around looking to cause trouble. But still a lone figure stand on top of one of the high rises near the Founder’s Campus of Paragon University.

With the great rage that burns insides him and his unyielding determination keeping him awake every hour of everyday, Eleven stands with his fists tightly clenched watching over Founder’s Fall with his usual scowling look, making sure that all remains peaceful.

For a moment Eleven’s mind wanders away from his deep concentration of his surroundings. He thinks back at all the heroes he has met during his time in Paragon City and how they always seem to ask him the same thing.

“You never switch off do you?”

“Do you never calm down? Chill out man!”

“You must have something else in your life other than fighting?”

    “No!” Eleven says to himself.

    “This is my purpose……My consequence.”

Eleven’s mind drifts back to images of wars he has been forced to fight in. Running along a cliff face of a ravine in Edina where the mightiest of warriors were charging towards each other in an epic battle. Eleven leapt off the cliff diving onto a crowd of other fighters and began to brawl widely at anyone that got near him. Flash forwarding to the end of the battle where two factions of warriors both fighting for Earth, but now rivals to each other, demanding Eleven join their respective groups.

Eleven simply turned away from both groups in disgust and walked back home.

He flashed further back to 1995 and his old home in ruins. His family seemingly annihilated by an extermination squad. Memories of his family before rushing through his mind along with the picture of him on his knees letting out a huge raging war cry. Eleven thinking back on this as he stood on the high rise in Founders clenched his eyes shut as if he was about to uncharacteristically burst into tears.

He saw visions of his team mates. The only small bit of people that could be called friends. Fellow warriors that he could count on in battle, but in full knowledge that he would out live everyone one of them whether they were killed in combat, or died of old age, just like everyone else he met since becoming immortal and everyone he will meet in the future.

The visions kept rushing through Eleven’s head until all that was left was red rage. He let out a war cry that had bound to wake up some of the locals with its volume. Eleven looked out to the district again, returning to his heavy scowling look. He saw a vision of his time training with his old master in Japan.

“Eleven……what do you see at the end of your fists?”

Eleven clenched his fists tight again. Scowling even more and gritting his teeth, he answered to himself.

    “Consequence!”

Eleven flung a straight punch into thin air and then returned to his watching stance.

Almost immediately he could hear a disturbance on the streets below. A women was being harassed by Crey agents. Crey were still very much high on Eleven’s target list and without any hesitation, he jumped off the building towards the troubled citizen.

Landing heavily on the ground, the Crey agents and the women lost their balance from the shockwave of Eleven’s landing. He did not even give time for the agents to say “Oh no it’s him!”. He charged at his foes with his unyielding rage after he heard a booming voice from the skies simply said to Eleven…….

    FIGHT!
  9. ....yeah anyway, first apologies to anyone I might had been involved with plot wise when I suddenly dissapeared.

For all the time I was playing CoX I was actually out of work for most of it, hence the reason I was able to play so much. Let just say all that time the game kept my sanity and still allowed my imagination to be used somewhat. At the end of October though I finally managed to secure a new full time job.

It was well timed. I was actually coming to the point where I would have literally had no money and would have been forced off the game anyway due to not been able to pay for it.

As such I was forced off the game all of a sudden due to start work and sorting out things at elsewhere in my life now that I had a job.

Can't say it has totally calmed down still yet. There is a possibity of suddenly moving house soon which might mean no internet for a bit, but the move is not that certian right now.

Anyway after I got Christmas and the new year out of the way I finally got round to downloading Issue 11 and getting back into the game.

This week I have been doing a little bit of updating to some of the pages tied to my toon on the hand book.

I have placed a link in my sig to my page which has all my toons listed. There has been a few minor updates to Eleven and The Dunelm Group pages.

I have completed the pages for Iron Works and Steel House. Impervium Tower will probably be done tomorrow. After that will be aiming to finally complete writing for Leon Tasker, Do Lo Might and Dr Brian K Roberts.

After that I'll be trying to write up a few stories although I suspect that will take me a good few weeks before its all up that.

Otherwise if anyone is remotely interested, here is quick run down of whats been happening with some of my toons:

Leon Tasker - Leon for a short while parted way with The Dunelm Group when he was asked by the British Army to help out with a escalating situation in the middle east that also had ties with matters in Russia ((I.E. I've been playing Call of Duty 4! ))

Dr Brian K Roberts - Dr Roberts has been trying to find information reguarding the possibility that technology has been created that can view the memories of a person's ancestors locked away inside human DNA ((I.E. I've been playing Assasins Creed! ))

Warshade Eleven - WS Eleven attempted to learn how to drive a car.....result?......EPIC FAIL! ((I.E. I've been playing Forza 2 with a new steering wheel and have sucked at it! ))

Eleven - Since returning to Paragon City after fighting in another great battle in another realm ((I.E. I've been playing Mortal Kombat Armageddon on the Wii)), Eleven has been jumped on a number of occasions by ether men who look like Special Ops or Female Assasins brandishing knives.

Iron Works, Steel House, Impervium Tower - Iron Works and Steel House have been repaired and reprogrammed and are now active members of The Dunelm Group. Impervium Tower was disabled and dropped in a random deep spot of the Atlantic Ocean. However Vangaurd has discovered that a group might have been trying to find the unit again. At first it was thought to be Rikti, Vanguard investigating but it turned out not to be the Rikti.

No one from the Rouge Isle are trying to salvage the unit are they?......((Open to any villain wanting to try))
  10. All of my hero toons are part of The Dunelm Group, so in a sense the only obvious connection that they are work colleagues.

There are few more personal ties though within the group.

Eleven and Dr Brian Roberts – Dr Roberts was inspired by Eleven’s heroism to create The Dunelm Group in order to better protect the world.

Eleven and Leon Tasker – Leon was saved from being left for dead by Eleven in London 2005 in the aftermath an invasion from war machines from a parallel world. Leon was indebted to Eleven for having his life saved, and Eleven needed a new gaffer having broken away from his old masters and was unable to venture further into future battle without some form of guidance.

Eleven and Warshade Eleven – Dimensional equals. Both led the same life in their respective realities up to a point and then went different ways. Eleven became immortal, WS Eleven was supposed to die in a car wreak but at the point of death merged with a Kheldian being to become what he is now. WS Eleven sought out Eleven for reasons of spiritual and philosophical enlightenment. Eleven sees WS Eleven as the closest thing he has to a living brother….even if he won’t admit it.

Do Lo Might and The Dunelm Group – Dominic was saved by the group after he was caught up in the battle between the team and rogue scientists at his place of work. Dr Roberts tried his best to reverse the damage done to Dominic, but was unable to cure him. Dominic still indebted to the group for their efforts joins the team and begins learning with Leon, Eleven and WS Eleven on how to use his new found powers for the benefit of justice.

Leon Tasker and Eric Bridgeland – Both Brigadiers in the British Armed Forces. Close friends for years. However Eric’s radical change in morality ends up with him dishonourably discharged. The two are now somewhat rivals, but there does not seem to be any hate between each other. The respect for one another is still there, only a difference in opinions keeps them separate now.

Iron Work, Steel House and Impervium Tower – All created by the same technician. Not saying much else, because this story is not ready to be told yet!

I am also quite curious though as to where a lot of your toons are tiered compared to each other. Who is considered more powerful than the other?

    I’ll start this ball rolling:

Characters have been split into Tiers. Higher on the list is consider more powerful than the name below it.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Special Tier
    Ranpu Tenrai (Super) Eleven
    Honoo Kurai (Evil) Eleven
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    High Tier
    Impervium Tower
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Mid Tier
    Eleven and Warshade Eleven*
    Steel House
    Do Lo Might
    Iron Works
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Lower Tier
    Leon Tasker
    Eric Bridgeland
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Lowest Tier**
    Dr Brian K Roberts
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    * - Debate continues as to which one of the two is the more powerful.

** - Tier is Non combat characters.
  11. I do tend to try and take time to read recaps and other stuff everyone is doing. As Brit has pointed out, it can help inspire something others can do. At the very least I do it to try and get a general idea of what other RP'ers are doing just out of common courtesy, after all, considerable time is taken out to create all of this.

I have to admit though that I have not really been doing much RP these past few weeks. Began simply because my cousin recently bought the game so we've been teaming up so I could show him the ropes as it were. And as it has been suggested, its pretty hard to RP in PD at the moment with the event on and non RP'ers hanging around the place.

I've also been spending time trying to build up some new toons that I have created with some form of mini story arc in mind.

A few issues in the real world have cropped up too which has kind of stopped me playing a few times these last few weeks.

I will be trying to get back involved in the RP scene asap.
  12. I'm sort of in the same boat Coile. I am after the last explorer badge in RWZ so that my SG finally gets the beacon for the zone, and you can only get it in a raid and I have not been able to be in RWZ at times when raids seem to be going on.

So anyone that is planning a one soon, keep me in mind if you need a spot filled in a team.

    @Eleven
  13. Ah sorted now. Cheers for that.

Now I just need to give myself a day to do Leon Tasker, Dr Roberts and probably start making up a page for Do Lo Might!

If you don't hear from me for a week....you might want to send a care package while I am still typing away!
  14. Gah! Finally decided to give myself a day off playing CoH so that I could get round doing the pages of the rest of my toons and the SG they are attached to.

Hell I haven't even given myself time to RP in the game recently as I have been watching over and helping my cousin who only just got the game early this week.

Anyway a whole day trying to get the rest of the pages done, and all I could manage was mild edits of Eleven, filling out the page for Warshade Eleven and The Dunelm Group SG.

Actually while I mention the SG page, I have noticed that it is not actually listed with the rest of the SG's but as an article under the SG section. Now when I put my own links to the SG page on the individual toons page with the old [[ ]] it links fine. But down at the bottom with the list of clickable catagories I click on The Dunelm Group and it says the page has not been created yet.

So curious as to what I have missed in the code, or something I have put in that doesn't need to be there.
  15. Hey folks.

I have recently managed to convince my cousin to give CoH a go. He has been watch me play it this week and he quite likes the look of it.

I have done the best I can to explain what the game is all about and the type of characters that he can make in the game. Being that he is a bit of a LOTR fan and has briefly dabbled in WoW (and I mean very brief!), he seems to have aquired an interest in making a magic based controller in the game when he gets it.

Now we have looked at a few guides and used Hero Planner to come up with the following build. I am asking for advice here because dispite the research I have done and suggestions I have made to my cousin based on my experience of playing the game, I can not really say I can give great advice on building a Controller, as I am an aggressive git and have only ever made Scrappers, Tanks and Blasters!

So here is the build we have come up with. All advice is greatly appriciated. I'm hoping that I can give him a solid enough build for his first go, so that he sticks with the game.

    Thanks

  16. Liking the idea behind this, so I am currently working on my first bit of work, which will obviously be on my main toon Eleven.

Expect it to be extemely detailed......when it comes to writing story or history of Eleven, I tend to over do it!

  17. Eleven

    War experiences

    The Dunelm Group's current status.

Due to the invasion, the group has suspended its operations to secure its own plot and build its own base of operations. To this end, the University campus in Steel Canyon has renewed its ties with the Groups Director, Dr Brian Roberts and as before, is organising the groups tasks from the campus.

Most tasks sent out are of course alerts of Rikti Invasion squads.

    Inactive
Dr Brian K. Roberts: As usual, Dr Roberts does not take a physical role in the groups undertakings.

Brigadier Leon Tasker: The Brig is not currently injured, but having seen the extent of how far the Rikti are prepared to go during the invasion, he has been orderd to remain away from physical duty as the invasion seems that it is beyond what he is physically capable of handling. Is instead using his knowledge and leadership to help co-ordinate defense teams during Rikti strikes. Has however made it clear that he will ignore orders to remain from physcially getting involved if matters get too out of hand.

    Active
Warshade Eleven: WS Eleven is actively assisting any teams defending against Rikti invasion squads, and has also helped out Vanguard with some missions. However he seems to becoming increasingly distressed at the war and has on a number of occasions been inactive for hours needing hospital treatment for injuries sustained in battles where he is making mistakes that he would not normally make.

Eleven: The most active member of the group. As expected, is prepared to take invasion squads head on, fists first. Willing to assist any teams in defending against invading squads, but has also been seen taking on squads alone and defeating them in a rather brutal fashion.

((I've seemed to have timed my return to the game nicely. Just waiting for I10 to download now.

Apologies to those I have been RP'ing with regularly with last few months for my unannounced absense, but real life matters came up that needed my full attention.

I'll try my best to fit back into it all))

Transatlantic Jet heading to Paragon City from the UK. The Dunelm Group are on board, returning to Paragon City after heading back home to Durham to deal with a developing issue seperate from the matters of Paragon City.

Warshade Eleven, who is meditating suddenly awakes in shock.

Dr Roberts: Whats the matter Warshade?

WS Eleven: No! It can't be!

Eleven: What the ruddy hell is it this time?!

WS Eleven: I....I....I should have seen this sooner rather than now.

    Eleven: What is it?!

Brig Tasker gets a call on his communicator.

    Leon: Brig Tasker......Yes sir........WHAT!

The rest of the team turn to Leon. They know that whatever Warshade Eleven saw in his meditation, Leon was beeing briefed about it in his call.

Leon: Ok. Can you secure us a safe area to land anywhere in the City?....No!.....Alright, its not ideal, but I understand thats the best that can be done right now. We'll try and get back into the City via land transports ASAP. Once we are back in, ether myself or Dr Roberts will contact you to receive further instructions.....Ok...Tasker out.

Dr Roberts: What's the situation then Leon.

Leon: *sighs* At around 10am, Paragon local time, Vanguard sent out an all-alerts broadcast. The Rikti have managed to bring their attack ships back to earth. They have executed co-ordinated attacks around the world. Now Vanguard is doing enough around the world to try and supress the Rikti attacks, but as expected Paragon City is the worst place getting hit.

    Eleven: Ahh hell!

WS Eleven: No! I've felt that something was wrong for a number of weeks now, but I could not see it my brothers. And now its too late.

Leon: Don't beat yourself up about it too much Warshade. We need to focus on defending areas of Paragon City when needed, while stratagising a counter attack.

Dr Roberts: I take it then we won't be able to land in Paragon?

Leon: No. The City is too hot to be trying to fly into. So we are going to have to divert to a military base on the West Coast south of Paragon city. From there we can hitch a ride on land transport to back into Paragon. After that, we will receive orders as we get them on where to be.

Eleven cracks his neck in displeasure.

Eleven: We leave Paragon for a few weeks and then all hell breaks loose!

Leon: Do you honestly think that you would have been able to stop any of this.

Eleven: Suppose not.....But when we do get back, I'll sure as hell make sure they think twice before doing it again!

The jet begins to divert it's course to the new destination.....taking the crew into war!

Here's Tyger and Eleven. Blue Rush was a tricky find.

I wanted one that would meet the persona suggested in your current avatar but Johnny is seldom beardless in a dramatic shot. Here are the three I'm most happy with, should be interesting to see which you pick if any. I can always change the image.

Seeing as I have put off sorting out my avatar and sig on the site, I suppose this is as good as time as any to get some form of avatar up. Canny idea too actually

Some Celebrity look a like reconition tool suggested Eleven looked like Gale Harold the most.
    Gale Harold Pic

Quite a good choice I think, although that pic is the closest thing I could find of him scowling in anger which is the usual facial expression of Eleven. That shot would do, but if you happen to come across a picture of him with the same hair style but with a lot more menacing look on his face, then knock yourself out.

  21. Yep, dispite my best efforts to engage RP in Pocket D these last few weeks, after tonight I really can't be bothered with it anymore. And seeing as it looks like GG is also getting full with people determind to prevent anyone Roleplaying there too, there doesn't seem to be much reason to start going there ether.

And I am not convinced that reporting them is going to solve the issue ether. Because tonight after one individual was clearly making a nusence of himself in the bar, I made the effort to point out that he was annoying me, and others, and then he tells me I've been petitioned for harrasing him. And then he and someone else that turned out to be there, just to ruin any RPing people were doing there start to brag that I'm going to get banned.

Now I'm not sure if he actually did do it, or just said it, but it was enough for me to get fed up enough to not hang around much longer. If he did, then I suspect it will just turn into his word against mine and the situation just won't get solved.

So I'm left trying to figure out how I can continue to RP somewhere on Union, short of just giving the whole game up.
  22. “Warshade Eleven! It’s Dr Brian Roberts. Meet me at the medical facility in Steel Canyon immediately! Brigadier Tasker has been taken in injured from duty!”

After spending several hours at the hospital, Dr Roberts and Warshade Eleven, took Leon Tasker back to The Dunelm Group’s temporary office at the University campus in Steel Canyon. Warshade watched over Leon as he rested for a few hours, while Dr Roberts tried to carry on with his regular duties. Eventually, the three began an emergency briefing.

Dr Roberts: “First things first Leon, what on earth happened to you?”

Leon: “Serious operation needed my attention here in Steel Canyon. Sky Raiders had taken 3 people hostage and planned to destroy vital equipment within the labs of one of the major companies here in the district.”

Dr Roberts: “Please tell me you did not attempt the operation alone!”

Leon: “Of course not. I was well aware of the dangers within that building. I was able to acquire the services of more of the heroes that operate in this city. They were good soldiers. They gave everything to save those hostages and protect the labs. We just were not aware how badly the Sky Raiders wanted to succeed.”

WS Eleven: “I take it you encountered more forces than you could have possibly anticipated my brother?”

Leon: “Correct. We managed to cut through regiments of them on each floor, bit by bit. I know we rescued 2 of the 3 hostages. But when we got to the lab equipment, they must have ordered every force they had within a 7 miles radius to converge on the labs to complete their mission. We did all we could to hold them off, but I know we failed, because the last thing I remember before waking up at the hospital was the blast of the equipment.”

Leon winced in pain for a moment. “What happened then? Did the other hostage get out? Did the rest of the team make it?”

Warshade Eleven looked at Dr Roberts for a moment as if looking for approval to offering Leon an answer. But he knew Leon had to be told the truth. He turned back to Leon but lowered his head before answering. Even before Warshade gave his reply, Leon knew he was not going to like what he was about to be told.

WS Eleven: “Unfortunately my brother, while the rest of your team were safely brought to the medical facility along with you for treatment, the other hostage did not make it. The Raiders executed the hostage shortly after the blast in retaliation to the attempt made to stop them.”

Leon paused for a moment, before thumping the desk in the office with his right fist, then throwing the contents of the desk off the table top. His actions made him sit back down again in pain, realising that he was actually hurt.

Dr Roberts: “Watch yourself Brigadier, your hurt! And remember that this is not my office ether! I’ve already taken so many calls today from the University board, getting flack for us being here!”

Leon sharply responded: “This situation is getting out of hand now Dr Roberts! I understood the reasons for coming to this city, but not having a working base of operations is making day to day duties extremely difficult. And I think after what’s happened today it just shows how much time we have wasted in getting back Eleven. And now more than ever do we need him back!”

Dr Roberts: “I am aware of that Brigadier! But you said yourself we would not begin any sort of operation with out suffeient numbers to undertake the Taskforce!”

Leon: “Well, it looks like that option is no longer feasible. Looks like we’re on our own!”

Dr Roberts: “Now come on Leon, you are in no fit state now to be undertaking any operation. Plus you still do not have the required security level to access Crey’s Folly.”

Leon: “Well Warshade there just acquired the necessary access right yesterday. He can…”

Dr Roberts abruptly stopped Leon: “NO Leon! I will not risk another one of our agents being captured, injured or even killed performing the Taskforce solo!”

Leon: “We have no Taskforce, sir! There is no alternative strategy! If Warshade does not make a solo attempt to rescue Eleven, then we might just have lost him forever.”

Warshade Eleven at this point receives a message on his mobile phone and turns his attention away from the briefing.

Dr Roberts: “I want this whole episode to end just as much as you do Leon, but there must be another way to take on this operation. I can not allow a solo course of action to take place. If Warshade were to fall, it would effectively kill off this group. For all his power, he simply can not take on an army of Crey agents on his own. I’m sure he agrees with me”

Dr Roberts and Leon turn to Warshade Eleven, who is still looking at the message on his phone.

WS Eleven: “Actually good brother Doctor….I’m going to agree with brother Tasker!”

Dr Roberts and Leon looked perplexed at Warshade’s statement. Warshade raises his head from looking at his message, returning to face his team mates.

WS Eleven: “I have just received a message comfirming new leads I came up with on my tour of duty yesterday.”

Leon quickly responded: “What have you got Warshade?”

WS Eleven: “Well, I was helping the Tailor over at Independence Port with a group that were threatening the business unless it was allowed to be bought out by the group concerned. Turned out it was Crey. In exchange for assisting the Tailor, the good sister owner offerend me a new set of clothing that allowed me to disguise my identity more…….AND REALLY BITCHIN COSTUME IT IS!”

Warshade gave a cheesy grin and a thumbs up before continuing.

“Anyway…..Becuase I was disguised I was able to engage a number of Crey agents on the Tailor’s behalf. The agents believed at first that they were being arrested by just another Warshade in the city. However when I was able to properly secure them, so that they could not contact their HQ’s, I was able to extract some very interesting information.”

Dr Roberts: “How on Earth were you able to do that?”

Warshade gave another cheesy, albeit more sinister grin this time, as he relived the image in his mind of dangling one of the agents, panicing for his life, as he was being held upside down by Warshade Eleven, over the edge of a ship in Indy Port, that was not very far away from Lusca the Giant Squid.

WS Eleven: “Oh….I had my ways!”

Leon: “Get on with it Warshade! What did you find out?”

WS Eleven: “Well it seems one of your theories that Crey might have employed another group to assist with holding Eleven proved to be well thought of my good brother. You are aware that the Circle of Thorns are regularly present in Founders Fall?”

Dr Roberts and Leon then nodded their heads, realising what was obvious.

Leon: “So Crey made a deal with some of the Thorn Mystics in Founders to assist in holding Eleven in whatever holding cell they put him in?”

WS Eleven: “Precisely my good brother. And even more good fortune was to come later on that evening. I assisted a team that were asked to take down a large number of Thorns in the woods of Perez Park that were holding a number of people hostage. When escorting them all to the fleet of Police that greeted us, one of the mystics figured out who I was, and demanded to speak to me.”

Dr Roberts: “What did he tell you?”

WS Eleven: “He said that even though his is not fans of Eleven or the rest of us, he hates Crey more. He explained that he was not pleased to hear that his superiors decided to work with Crey, even if it meant subduing Eleven. He was quite happy to sell out his fellow Thorns in order to give us information that would lead to Eleven taking out a large chunk of Crey Industries. He explained that the Mystic power holding Eleven is not being maintained in the same building as his cell, but in one of the Thorn’s caves in Founders Fall. This message I just received from the Police interrogating the Mystic confirms his story and gives me the location of which Thorn base the power it being maintained.”

Leon, despite his pain stood up and with confidence explained: “That’s it! That’s the ultimate breakthrough we need to rescue Eleven. Dr Roberts sir, we may not need an extensive Taskforce at all.”

Dr Roberts: “Well I can see that obviously we no longer need a complex operation to get the final pieces of information that we were after, but I am not convinced that this still can be done by just Warshade all on his own.”

Leon: “All Warshade needs to do is take out the Mystical power the Thorns are using to hold Eleven.”

WS Eleven: “I agree with Brother Tasker once again. Regardless of the numbers of Thorns in the cave, I will have no problem using my natural stealthy goodness to get past all the forces in there! I will only have to deal with forces guarding and maintaining the Mystical energy.

Dr Roberts: “And what happens when the rest of the Thorn cave is alerted of your attempt to bring down the power?”

WS Eleven: “When I disrupt the energy, I will be able to make a quick stealthy exit. The remaining Mystics there will not be able to re-establish the connection once I have broken it, as they will need one of there own to be in the presence of Eleven to be able to do that.”

Dr Roberts: “But what if there is one of their mystics IS there to make sure a connection is re-established if it were to be brought down.”

Leon: “I don’t think we need to worry about that sir! Knowing the Thorns as I do, even though they would have entered this deal mutually, they still would not be able to bring themselves to hang around Crey agents and its buildings for an extended length of time.”

Dr Roberts: “And do you think Warshade would be able to find the location of building Eleven is being held in, and take on all agents in there alone, and successfully acquire Eleven?”

Leon: “I know we said that the Taskforce would end with us storming the building Eleven is being held in and assisting him with his escape, but I seriously believe that might not be totally necessary!”

Dr Roberts: “Your certain he can break himself out?”

WS Eleven: “Brother Doctor, Eleven on a normal, regular, rage fuelled day would taken on Crey Agents with no problem what so ever. After being locked in a cage for nearly a month by them…….well…….I shudder to think what he will do to them!”

Leon: “That’s the best plan we have right now sir.”

Dr Roberts looked at his agents before looking to the ground, shaking his head.

Dr Roberts: “The point……..The Point is conceded.” He looks at Warshade. “Go and prepare for your mission Warshade”

Warshade Eleven bows to Dr Roberts request and turns to leave the room and the University.

Dr Roberts: “Brigaider. You stay right here and rest up, but maintain communication with Warshade. If he suddenly needs backup, do not go yourself. Search the Hero Net urgently and find him allies!”

Leon salutes, even though it hurts him to do so due to his injuries: “Yes sir!”

In a cave in Founders Fall….

Random Defender: “Master, are you sure this agreement with Crey is wise? I was to believe they were our enemies?”

Agony Mage Alkmar: “Oh that they are my student. However you must learn to bring your enemies close to you, if the opportunity arises that you can use them to take down one of your other greater enemies!”

Random Fire Thorn Caster: “So once we are in a position where we can continue to hold the warrior without Crey, we can remove them?”

Agony Mage Alkmar: “Exactly my student! With that meddling warrior in our total control, we can then begin to take down Crey and the rest of our pitiful enemies! And nothing will stop us!”

The Mage gives out a cackling evil laughter, to the delight of his students. However they are soon disturbed by another sinister laugh that is not from one of their own. They frantically scan the cave they are in to see where the laughter is coming from, but it seems to be coming from everywhere and are therefore unable to aim their attacks on one point of the cave.

Warshade Eleven, finishing his laughter: “I do give you pity my brothers, I really do. How can I not pity you when I have to say…….YOU’RE GONNA TO GET PWNED BY A SQUIDDY YOU nOObs!”

Suddenly Warshade in his Nova form flies into the cave area, blasting the group with his Dark Detonation. It instantly subdues the mob, except for Mage Alkmar, who quickly manages to get back to his feet. Warshade returns to his human form, looking at the altar that had been setup to maintain the holding spell, keeping Eleven mystically chained in the Crey facility. He turns round though, realising he has not done enough to knock out Agony Mage Alkmar.
Alkmar: “You are a fool Warshade to take on me alone!”

Alkmar quickly performs one of his holding spells, looking to trap Warshade Eleven where he stood. But at the last moment, Warshade manages to avoid the spell, teleporting himself behind the Agony Mage, and then ironically, holds the Mage with his Gravity Well.

Alkmar: “Argh! Un-hand me you vile creature!”

The Mage quickly concentrates his power to unleash himself from the hold. Once free he gives an evil grin and begins to turn around, ready to inflict torture to his Kheldian attacker. However when he does turn round, he finds that Warshade Eleven has already turned into his Dwarf being.

WS Eleven: “It’s cosmic CLOBBERIN TIME!”

The Mage tries to swiftly turn round to run away, screaming in fear, but is caught by a strike from the Dwarf. Warshade continues to punish the Mage with his Dwarf form, until Alkmar is completely unconscious.

With the Thorns around the altar out cold, he walks up to the altar, ready to finally release his colleague. He closes his eyes as he reaches out with his right hand to the altar.

In a holding cell, somewhere deep within a Crey facility, Eleven who for the best part of a month had been forced to kneel on a cell floor with a look of despair and anguish, slowly started to raise his head up with his usually scowling face of anger returning.

Warshade still with his eye closed concentrating on his task, gave a smile as he saw through the mystical energy Eleven slowly beginning to stand up off the cell floor.

Warshade then spoke to Eleven’s mind through the use of the mystical power in the Thorn’s cave: “My dear brother! You have been held in that cell far too long. It is time for you to rise!..........I TAKE IT THOSE SAUSAGE ROLLS YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO BRING BACK FOR ME ARE NO GOOD NOW? ”

Eleven heard Warshade’s remark, but did not respond to it. He simply walked slowly up to the cell door and barked at the guard: “OI! MARRA!”

The guard, who was looking away from the cell at the time, slowly turned around to face the cell. He began physically shaking in fear when he turned and saw Eleven awake and staring at him.

Eleven: “You might want to phone the Guinness book of Records there junior! Because I’m about to hand OUT, THE BIGGEST *bleep*ING RECEIPT OF ALL TIME!”

    Status: URGENT
    ***************

This is a priority alert to all meta humans that have Security Level Access 30 or higher.

I am requesting for volunteers for to take part in an operation entitled “Taskforce Shackle Breakers”

I have already been in contact with an agent of The Paragon Overwatch, and she will be trying to organise potential members of the Taskforce, however it has been advised to me to send out this broadcast for other heroes and organisations to respond to.

Following on from the statement I made over a week ago over the disappearance of one of my agents, the warrior called Eleven, we have now obtained enough information to piece together what exactly happened to him, and begin the strategy of rescuing him.

At this point however I want to stress that I want this operation kept off the radar as much as humanly possible. As I have said from the start, I do not want this to become a war between heroes and Crey Agents on the streets. We must not allow innocent civilians to be caught in the cross fire. Plus taking Crey head on like that will only see the wrath of their legal team, and we’ll end up coming out of it looking like the bad guys.

With this in mind, I have devised a strategy that should allow the operation to move forward while keeping Crey in the dark as to what is happening. The first part of the Taskforce will take place in the area commonly known as “Crey’s Folly”. Hence the reason this request is for those who have security level 30 or higher. Once the first part of the Taskforce has been completed, the operation is likely to be moved over to Founders Fall. Therefore any other heroes of any level are welcome to assist the operation, providing we can offer you a support colleague.

Ideally, I would like members in the operation to have their own personal missions that have been handed to them that involve Crey. With so many, seemingly different agendas for engaging Crey, they will be confused and disoriented, making the Taskforce swing in favour of us.

For now that is as much information as I want to give on this broadcast about Taskforce Shackle Breakers. A full briefing will be given by myself to the Taskforce on the day of its commencement.

That day and time is not set until I am convinced that we have enough forces to undertake the Taskforce. Once I am satisfied we have the numbers we need, then I will broadcast again with a day and a time.

((Can't do this Saturday night, I am away until hopefully late Sunday afternoon))

I will say now that the most likely meet up point for the commencement of the Taskforce will be under the Talos Statue, in Talos Island, but that is also not confirmed.

    Until the next broadcast.

This is Brigadier Leon Tasker, signing out.

Statement from Doctor Brain K Roberts

    Eleven Picture

“Have you seen this man in the last 7 days?

This is Eleven, a martial artist originally from Durham City, England, that has for the past few months been residing in Paragon City while working to defend the city in the name of truth and justice.

He is around 6 foot 2 inches tall, is of an athletic build and is always seen with a scowling look on his face.

He was last seen in Pocket D on Wednesday night, 16th May 2007. He was wearing the same outfit in the picture above. Black leather jacket, blue shirt and black cargo trousers. In the days leading to that Wednesday, Eleven had been spending most of his time in Founders Fall dealing with a group of Crey Agents that had broke away from the company and gone rouge. Eleven was publicly thanked by Crey Industries CEO, Countess Crey, as well as the citizens involved in the troubles for his efforts in dealing with the rouge agents.

If you see, or have seen Eleven after the above date, or if you have any other information that might prove useful to finding him, please do not hesitate to contact the following people.

    Myself, Dr Brian K Roberts

    *******
This is Brigadier Leon Tasker with an additional briefing to all meta humans, following from the statement Dr Roberts has just made.

His statement has been made for the public, however there is additional information that we did not want to pass onto the public in the interests of their safety.

Our continuing investigation is looking to conclude that Eleven may have been apprehended and is currently being held prisoner. However we still do not have any leads as to who might be holding Eleven.

We do however have the following information that came from a source believed to have befriended Eleven in Pocket D the last few weeks. Eleven was seen having a heated phone conversation with someone. The source mentioned that whoever it was on the other end of the line, was displeased that Eleven’s recent actions “Cost them millions”

It was obviously a threatening phone call made to Eleven. However knowing Eleven as I do, he would not have been deterred in the slightest, and probably went to take on whoever it was on the phone head on, fists first.

It could be though that whoever the captor is, wanted that to happen and goaded Eleven into a battle, thus trapping him.

So far my military intelligence contacts have been unable to trace the call made on the night of Wednesday 16th May to Eleven. That information is key to the investigation. Without it, we simply do not know who the probable captor of Eleven is.

Any information concerning Eleven you might happen to come across during the course of your duty is helpful at this time. I want to stress however, how dangerous the situation is. Eleven, as some of you know, is not exactly a push over when it come to combat. So for a group to successfully subdue Eleven enough to eventually lock him up in a prison he is unable to break out from himself, is a group that is not to be taken likely.

Whoever it is, they have access to some serious, advanced technology to block communication traces, and worse, access to powers greater than any technology to capture a warrior such as Eleven.

Again, any information you by chance obtain, please contact myself in the first instance, if not Warshade Eleven or Dr Roberts.

Remember to consider however the safety and well being of the city’s citizens first. If you feel there is vital information we should know, but could potentially put innocent citizen’s lives at risk, then only speak to me, via secure channels. I do not want to turn this into a war that spills into the streets!

Best of luck to all of you.
