Quote:Probably not. It's got spaceships flying straight through it.http://www.dell.com/content/products...n&s=dhs&~ck=mn
I wonder if it will perform. -
Quote:I'm thinking the latter.
It doesn't seem to be consistent, though.
A couple of nights ago on Triumph, we had a pretty optimal team going. We did fine, but my Tanker could only hit LR with Taunt. This was under the following conditions:
- 2 Radiation Infections on LR
- Both Blue and Red Generator Defeated
- Using Build Up
I've never had problems hitting him in the past, but the last 2 runs I've done have had the same result. I'm glad Taunt is auto-hit.
Orange tower has his defense buff :P
From Arcana herself:
Yellow Tower:
+175% defense to all types (capped)
-18.1 hold/stun/immobilize
Red Tower:
+105% resistance to smashing/lethal/energy
+105% damage smashing/lethal/energy
+300% stun
+300% knock(back/up)
Green Tower:
+2000% regeneration
+50% Max Health (capped)
~3250 Heal (every five seconds)
Blue Tower:
+400% Recharge (capped)
+200% Run Speed
+30% ToHit

Sarrate, what causes their regen debuff resistances? Is it just a multiplier value between 0 and 1 they threw in to make those powers less powerful? That's crap we've been wanting forever but don't have :[

Quote:Shivans/nukes/HVAS = 30ish seconds. true story, we got vids.Just to make sure I'm reading this correctly, that's taking 1 hour 45 minutes to complete, and not 1 minute 45 seconds to kill the AVs, right? I'm 99% positive you mean the former (since the only way I've seen the AVs die that fast was with nukes / shivans), but I want to amke sure.
Quote:Just out of curiosity, what kind of tank was tanking the AVs? Ele's Granite?
Quote:3) Try to peek at them in game by typing something like the following: [Ghost Widow.Resistance] - If you get it right it will be clickable just like typing in [Brawl] would be.
[i]Note - These aren't always accurate, since they're displaying the power using player modifiers rather than AV modifiers. They could be different when AVs use them. -
Ryxx's analysis was pretty much what I was thinking. Since resistance resists resistance debuffs, if you don't have enough of them stacking from various sources, you're not going to see much difference at all even after applying them. And when one can't get the resistance to drop, one should increase the damage. Given that they're practically the same thing anyway. (or just do both, duh).
I myself don't remember all the details between troller/defender sets (someone mentioned some defender powers auto-hit whereas trollers have to make a toHit check.) I have no idea of the differences between the two, other than the solid number increase.
I'm sure we could run one tonight as well to see what's up. I'll see what we can do.
And yeah, TA has some pretty sweet debuffs, flash arrow is the best damn tohit debuff in the game (if you exclude hax from fluffy anyway). -
I think you'll find that recharge and defense bonuses will help you much more than stacking passive regen. So... technically, too much.

Totally agree with voodoo (WTF?!?).
I, for example, generally hate pugs. I'm just spoiled off of the awesomeness of awesome teams flawlessly running endless TFs back to back. Coz on the other hand, is spoiled off of the same, but he plays in pugs more than anyone I know. That guy is always running something with people he doesn't know. Bless him, indeed. -
Quote:Was the blue tower up?. Maybe I'm still stinging from getting hit 4 times in a row when I was at resistance cap (and 75% def to all) while fighting Recluse, but I do see that as worse .
I guess it could also be said that ITF is easier to fail, *harder* doesn't really mean anything specific. -
Or be REALLY safe and just have 3 superscrappers take care of the second mission while everyone else sits outside drinkin coffee <.<
Honestly, though. I'm gonna have to side with Mark on this one. The ITF has a much higher potential of failure due to shear OMMFGTOOMANYDOOODS everywhere. With STF, there really aren't that many groups you have to fight, and those that you do, there is hardly ever a problem with aggro control (unless your tank is a tard).
It's easier to handle smaller, harder groups than larger, easier mobs.
You could also look at the most common causes of death on each case:
STF common deaths: (typically just minor human errors)
the tree room (******* going south of the 3o' clock 9 o' clock wall and getting spiked by the tree),
security chief area (didn't have a break free for that random web grenade),
The Flier. This one is actually really stupid, I honestly don't see how people die here.
LR. usually during the last bit of his hp dropping (buffers forget to buff up, get on a killjoy and just want to finish, everyone's defenses drop, half the team wipes instantly).
In ITF, honestly you could have a death anywhere due to the number of mobs you're dealing with. Unless you're stealth/spiking, you're going to have multiple mobs during every fight, and if you don't have proper defenses (resistance included) and aggro management, someone, somewhere, is going to get hit by something and die.
ITF is harder because the mobs ALL have high burst damage, and there are shittons of them. Whether a crystal blew up, an ambush jumped a squishy, you failed your 5% chance to dodge AND they got a crit at the same time. It's all about control, honestly. It's a lot harder to control the chaotic nature of an ITF over an STF.
STF is just boss fights, ITF is swimming through a lake of sharp pointy things. -
*points at Iggy's link*. You might not like autofire, but I like watching you use it
-
correct me if I'm wrong... but I'm pretty sure you can only have one of those in an entire build.
For most build up procs in general, however, you'd want decimations. so... a blaster <.< -
Little bit that was said about UG:
Ultra Graphics Mode
Ultra Graphics Mode is a new, OPTIONAL mode that allows you to turn on a whole host of new, awesome graphical improvements. Some of these are:
* Reflections:
o Real time, environmental reflections on all shiny surfaces including glass, metal, water.
o This includes shiny elements on a character costume, such as a goggles and armor.
o Reflections warp to the shape of the reflective surface. Glass windows will have imperfections which give realistic image distortions.
* Shadows:
o Real time dynamic shadows that change with the time of day.
o Real time realistic shadows of everything in the environment, including all toons and critter that show a true projection of their shapes.
o Ambient Occlusion: Shadows are not one shade value -- they dynamically get lighter and fuzzier near light sources and they get darker in deeper corners and holes. Objects in the shadows get darker and harder to see.
* Water:
o Angle-sensitive reflection and transparency: When viewed from on oblique angle, water surfaces are reflective; when viewed from above, the reflectivity diminishes and one can see into the water (at least at shallow depths).
o Shadows: Distorted shadows are cast onto the surface of the water and onto the floor of a water basin (at least at shallow depths).
And some other info:
* Minimum specs will remain relatively the same
* Preatoria was build with Ultra Mode in mind, but it is not required to play in Praetoria
* Will be available throughout the rest of the CoH universe as well
* It will all work on ATI cards, infact, the demo at Hero Con was run on an ATI card
* Nvidia 3D vision is coming...soon™ (Apparently the Nvidia rep said March?) -
That downtime seems to be daily. It also shuts down all the modern warfare 2 servers. So everyone is forced to take a dinner break and go watch Jeopardy >:[ Why they don't have an early-am downtime I have no idea, logic seems to detour around steam sometimes...

happy birthday from the far far away land of not CoX

Bring lots of wakies, coffee, sammiches (or women for said sammiches), and patience.
Kill everything.
16 hours and 900 deaths later, you'll be done. -
Ele was at his woman's house during the auction. She lives in BFE, so internet was a no-go. He texted his brother to bid on TehVIII, and he planned on paying with his redside bank, but silly bro decided to pay blueside >.<
I *should* be back to CoHLand sometime around the middle of this week, college and junk stacking up a bit.
Hopefully I'll tie the rope around TehVIII and drag him through some IW funtimes this week and next week. That's the plan anyway, nothing peril-like. I heard the stories, and you sir, are a mean one. -
I haven't had internet for about a week now due to physical location, and prior to that I've been playing MW2. Not sure when I'll be completely back.
-
Doesn't seem like a very favorable, forcing the west coasters to play in the AM is meeeaaan.
-
Ele prefers any sort of extreme runs, typically Speed LGTF, ITF, KTF, or STF, (Or Faathim, that's his favorite) those're his preferences. Also, master of - anything (although he's limited redside.)
His only other issue is that he's away from his computer (and internet, obviously) on weekends, so the time would have to be used on another day. -

burn has an "affraid" affect, not fear. As Werner said, they're totally different.
Using any power on a level 1 group will most likely cause them to run away, that's hardly a viable way of testing an affect. -
and frosty nibblets, duh. everybody wants teh niblz
-
only non-standard handgun I could find out of Call of Duty :P
Neo used two of them, guess that's reason enough to be included. -

Or, everyone logs out at once save the initial leader. There's no need to do it one at a time.
