Basically, cooldowns are good, cooldowns are your friend. They want to help you. Use them with reckless abandon.
Who calls them "cooldowns" outside of WoW land? O.o
  4. the damage will seem poor until you start using power siphon. After that you'll see how high it can ramp up.

I felt the exact same way, btw (km/inv) - very weak out of the box.
  5. Why yes I did
all the KD is groovy, and the epic set itself is more useful overall compared to fire (or mu) mastery (2 useless powers, vs potentially 0 useless powers).
I still want to do the same thing with my km/inv (repulsing energy torrent!), but I can't get away from shadow meld on that toon :/
  6. It's Iggy. I imagine that'd be expected by now :P
  7. from what I've heard, they're not being changed at all, other than availability (squids and lobsters actually get to use fitness post i19, yay).
Castle said nothing about their values being diminished, and I see no reason for them to do so.
  8. I just remembered that I took CP in that build, so it really doesn't even need that much recovery. I'd flip the GotA in evasion over for 3 more shield walls. That can free up a slot for CJ for more regen, or aid self for an interrupt (more effective use in combat, effectively more regen?)
That puts him up to 136%hp without TFC, and 25.6 hp/s. (if put in CJ)
  9. This is as far as I can build without knowing what attack chain to shoot for. I likely would not have gotten aid self, and instead picked up hasten (and probably dropped crane kick for energy torrent, but that's just me).

I also never realized how good Shield Wall sets are for /sr scrappers until now. that regen and hp? hell yeah.

Anyway, the damage bonus is considerably less, but other than that:
    72.5% rech,
    46-48% def m/r/a,
    3.82 end gain
    1.04 end use
    133.7% hp (yay coincidences)
    3.17% regen (23.7hp/sec)
Also, 50% accuracy, and 60% rech resist

please stop distracting me, I have physics homework :O
  10. I have one of these at 37, loving every bit of it.

I've been trying to build variations, one build being recharge heavy, defensive light, and focusing on shadow meld to fix the defense. The other build being light on recharge, but lots of defense.

With the defensive build, since it'd be getting body mastery, I've been trying to also squeeze energy torrent into the mix with repulsing torrent, and get more AoE in the AoE light set.
Anyway, here are my two variations so far. (QS dropped for FB, to your liking).

These are kinda rough, and I'd still probably tweak both of them, but depending on your play style, you could go either route.
The burst survivability build also has protection from psionic damage, which you won't get in the normal build. Added bonus.

Variation for the flavor, whatever floats your boat.

    stupid doms :P
  12. a couple things that pop out at me:

You won't need any hp set bonuses (Save 1) if you get the accolades (which we highly recommend). With that, you can steal 2 slots from weave and maneuvers, and slot them with a LotG 7.5% rech and an enzyme (each). (you lose 2% def per toggle, but that's up to you). Or you could keep the slots the same, and replace the +def with an enzyme. That way, you get 20% regen, a tiny bit more defense (practically negligible), and, more importantly, more end reduction.
QR can lose the end/acc/rech and flip it with a generic End Mod IO for the same reason,
and Integration can take another slot for a hard-ED regen bonus.

You could flip DA to be a crushing impact 5 set with 1 lotG 7.5% rech, but that gives you six 5% sets, so you could take IH down to 3 (rech, rech, heal/rech).
Those extra slots can go to integration (4 slotted for hard ED, as above) and FH for a regen tissue.

Last thing: depending on what you want, with the changes above I listed (if you use them) That could leave you to decide between BU or IH having 5 slots. Either way, the other will have 3 and be just as effective, but I think i'd rather take BU to 3 and keep IH at 5.

Not enough time to fully write out over it, and you may want to consider holding off until i19 before making a final spec like this. By the time you get there, you'll have inherit fitness and won't even need CP or PP.
    Food for thought.

    Proposal:
Any IO that is part of a set gets special treatment when dealt with during a respec.
When removing a set IO, when it goes into your tray, it become a "package" that has 1 of 6 parts included (in the enhancement slot). If you have other IOs of the same set (but not the same enhancement itself) they can be placed "on top of" the already placed IO, this will put them together in their "package," but only take up 1 slot. This can be done for every IO set.

With this, you could theoretically save a full 10 IO sets (without any single IOs or SOs). Or 10 single enhancements, as usual.

I think it would fix our problems, yes?

    Quote:
    Powers:
Fitness Pool powers have been incorporated into Inherent powers available at Level 2
All characters will be granted Swift, Hurdle, Health, and Stamina.
Existing characters with these powers selected via Pool Powers will be able to gain the powers they have not previously taken via the normal leveling process. They will not gain access to any of the Inherent fitness powers until they Respec.
Upon using a Respec, the Fitness pool will not be selectable by the character and all 4 powers will be granted as Inherent Powers at level 2. This prevents issues with lost enhancements or slot allocation errors.
    and-
    Quote:
Yes, these powers will work while in Crab or Squid form as a Kheldian, which is different from the Pool versions of the powers.
So, the setup mids gave us is correct. all four Fitness powers for everyone, no new slots, but they are inherit powers, so even kheldian shifters get to use them.

All we need now is an update on changes to respecs, because we're all about to do hundreds of them. >:[

    Kinetic/Invul

been playing one through Praetoria for a little while now. Working well so far (lvl 19). Post i19 it'll be freakin amazing not having to get fitness.
I plan on taking mine through soul mastery for Smeld (with a recharge intensive build), but it's a solid combo that can be build in a variety of ways. (I think going body mastery for energy torrent would be awesome as well, ET + RT = awesome!)

  22. aye, should have clarified. Tthe healing powers that also have resistance effects are the ones that aren't affected (yes?). Pretty sure it doesn't hit regen, either.

I could ride that train as well. Getting another ToD set would be nice, as long as he can pull off some kind of decent attack chain; that's all that I'd be worried about afterwards.
  23. The heal set bonus from 4 numina doesn't affect you. So those're effectively wasted slots in FH and integration.
Keep all your procs in FH so you can have access to them at the lowest level,
    something like:

    FH:
    Numina Heal, numina proc
    Miracle heal, Miracle proc
    Regen tissue
Panacea proc (if you swing that way).

Integration: Numina heal, heal/end, Generic heal IO.

That frees up 3 slots, and you're still regenning over 60hp/sec passively.
A Winter's Gift 20% slow res can help save your life, since -rech is the most dangerous thing to a regen. They're not expensive either, it can go in super speed if you don't care to not run at max speed all the time.

You're still a bit low on recharge, but your melee defense is pretty good. I'm unfamiliar as well with the MA chains, other than the old one (sk/ck/sk/cak).
which requires 225% rech for storm kick (which you're obviously not packing).

With some tweaks, it looked like this for me, now. (2 free slots currently).

for the loss of about 5 hp/sec, you could lose the two heal IOs in FH and throw them somewhere as well (for more recharge).
(technically, losing the miracle heal and the regen tissue, the numina set bonus makes it more effective than the regen tissue unique).
  24. I only even put the pvp IOs in because I happened to have acquired them outside of the market. None of them were even in the original build, and as such are far from necessary.
The purples on the other hand, I will have to work for. Of those, I might have... maybe 5 IOs in total?
That's just a part of how I enjoy the game, though. Working with a goal in mind. That goal, in this case, is to finish this character, so I can then use him to refill what I spent making him. It's a very long and slow process, but one that I can enjoy when I have an hour or two free from homework every now and then. I don't do much of the AV soloing, myself. I enjoy building things, probably more than I enjoy using them.
  25. should have expanded, but Umbral pretty much explained it.

If you want the hp set bonus without sacrificing your recovery value for it, you pretty much have to slot 4 perf shifters. Otherwise the enhancement value is 68.9%, rather than 83.3% (with the 3 slot method) or 92.78% with the 4 slot method (plus recov bonus).

4 slots vs 3 slots is a .04end/sec difference. That's 2/3rds of combat jumping. whooboi
