For my Sonic/Sonic Corruptor, I'll probably end up going with Cardiac (End, Res, and Range)
The ones I'm kind of at a loss for are my Fire/Kin Controller, Plant/Thorns Dom, Storm/Elec Def, and Ice/Ice Def.
I'm leaning towards Spiritual for the Fire/Kin. And Musculature for both Defenders since they have a decent amount of Debuffs. Although the Ice/Ice could possibly benefit from Nerve for teaming since it has DefBuffs. The Plants/Thorns however, I have no idea.
For doms, I almost always default to musculature initially, and then potentially switch depending on the build itself. Just looking at the powerset, though, I'd say musculature.
For the fire/kin, it definitely depends on the build. If you're swimming in recharge, I'd either take a cardiac (you are, after all, the only one without a SB), or a musculature if you don't have end issues (transference can miss, you know), or spiritual if you're lacking a boatload of recharge.
for the storm/elec, I'd definitely say cardiac or musculature, leaning heavily towards cardiac. Musculature has a t3 with an endmod component, which should help you drain a bit more, and recover a bit more, but I think in the end cardiac would be a safer route to take. Those pseudopets cost a lot.
Ice/ice: spiritual for more recharge for your long recharge powers (benumb, heat loss, ice storm, blizzard, sleet). Let the heal component be "wasted," ice/ice loves moar recharge. -

Couldn't import your build without a chunk, and the link was borked, so I made this up.
It looks pretty much identical to yours, only difference is that it has hasten instead of CP.
I didn't pick up any alpha boosts, figured I'd leave that for you to decide if you hadn't already started on them. Honestly, all them would be good for this particular toon, I think playstyle would influence a final decision more than mids'.
Anyway, the endurance should be fine while FA isn't running, and only slowly decreasing while it's up (use as needed, in other words). I tried to mimic the sort of slotting you were using (cost wise), it seemed like you didn't want to dive into purples and pvps, so I only included a hecatomb set in storm kick (to get the recharge down to where I wanted it; right at about 1.8s)

my mids isn't reporting either of the numbers you just said... even with 3 damage IOs. Mine are both smaller.
Incinerate is showing: 310.95 / 1.848 = 168.26
Storm Kick is showing: 192.83/1.056 = 182.60
Which confirms what you said... with different numbers
I initially did it unslotted, however (Which shouldn't matter... but it's worth double checking)
Incinerate = 156.2/1.848 = 84.52
Storm kick = 96.86/1.056 = 91.72
... I must have hit a wrong key in my calculator...
SK wins it seems. -
Looks like Incinerate beats it, actually. It's the only one I can find that does, however.

I'll see what I can put together, although I'm not entirely familiar with MA (or its optimal chains). Outside of that, would you like Shadow meld? Or something slightly different like Hibernoob and water spout? Or something like mu mastery for more standard AoE?

Threw a pretty good build together without purples (Most expensive slots are probably the 2 enzymes and 2 membranes).
I only used the tier 3 Spiritual, because I'm not sure if you want to do the extra work for a t4 or not.
This was also done without a chain in mind, I only worked it so that Storm Kick's recharge would be less than the activation time of your other attacks. (looks like SK - CAK - sk - cs works though), and EC can go wherever. I hear it's fun to use before Dragon's Tail for a flurry of crits.
Also, if you want crane kick instead of cobra strike, that could easily be switched out. The powers are pretty much identical. I would prefer a stun to a KB, however, so I picked CS.
I'll do the (usually annoying) long version since you can't run mids.

It has 24% def to melee and range, 21 to AoE. Those numbers go to 56 and 53 respectively when Shadow Meld is thrown. Your accuracy vs +4s is good for all attacks. Regen is good, recovery is good. Hasten is down for only 8 seconds (That would be 4 seconds with a tier 4 spiritual). -

But yeah, 50% DDR is definitely enough in most cases, especially when you can achieve defense values much higher than just over 45. -
I wouldn't worry about /sr in pvp... that's a place you probably won't wanna go.
As for FA, it's not really needed for the power itself so much as the gaussian set you can put into it. This is especially true when you have a FU running pretty much all the time, boosting your tohit further. The only possible problematic point would be having enough accuracy for your first FU hit, which luckily, (at least, in this build) you would have.
In this build, I was trying to get to 2k hp, while still having over 46% def m/r/a, enough recovery, and enough recharge for FU -> Focus -> Slash
This is as close as I could get. It does have the recharge for the chain, and it has plenty of recovery, but it only sports 1953hp, with 314% regen, and roughly 20% res to s/l.
Mind you, I've never actually played a claws/sr, and I've only ever leveled up a toon using either one of those sets to the 20s at most. This is just me and mids.

resistance doesn't aid in Defense Debuffs, and defense doesn't help in it either. Resistance resists resistance debuffs, but they had to make DDR (defense debuff resistance) to do the same for defense debuffs. As of right now, you can't get any more DDR outside of what your set provides, which for most sets, is 0 or ~50% (Shield and SR can get to 95%, but the others cannot). DA, for example, gets 0 DDR, while WP gets roughly 18%.
I do believe one of the i20 powers does have a DDR buff, although I'm not well-versed in the upcoming stuff and have only scrolled through some of the pictures.
That will be the only way to get more DDR for yourself. -
It largely depends on what you need out of it. If you don't need the kinetic combat set, and you don't need the 5% recharge from Crushing Impact as much as the defense you get from the power, I'd suggest something like this:

Adding another Lyso would bump the defense up by 1.7 more, which might be necessary depending on your build.
The 5 slot baseline is a good place to start, however. -
Made a few minor tweaks to it. I don't like kismet in CJ because sometimes you forget to turn it on. Kismet isn't a global buff, so it does actually matter where you slot it. So I always throw it in a power like IW that will (or should) always be on, no exceptions.
When going for typed defenses, gaussian isn't that great of a set. Sure it covers all the types and positions, but the slots per defense gain isn't very great. So, I flipped it out of BU, leaving it with enough recharge to be up for every 5th attack sequence (You should also have the recharge to run that longer chain, by the way, even excluding that last GC at the end, unless I am tehsuckzorz at the basic math)
Those slots went into hasten, for another rech IO, and petrifying gaze, for a bit more recovery, and a recharge set bonus. (Knocking a large chunk out of hasten's downtime between the two). The last slot went to maneuvers to help make up the small defense loss, I think the numbers still look fine (with your IOs being lvl 30, e/n was pushed to 44.9, rather than over 45 if they were higher, but that's probably fine).
In Gambler's Cut, that mako quad is usually the IO I would throw in with a kinetic combat set, however, you don't need anymore recharge in the power, as its recharge is already well under the cast time of all your other attacks. Instead I replaced it with a nucleolus for a better accuracy and damage enhancement, the two things it really does need.
I would take SJ (or even assault) instead of res, but that's more of a personal thing, and I definitely understand why you would do so.
Lastly, you had an end/rech in fast healing... I imagine that was supposed to be a heal/rech and just ended up as a missclick.

On accuracy: If you change your tohit values to 39~
Options - configuration - examping & Base Values - Base Tohit (switch to 39)
This will give you the tohit values you have versus +4s. You want this to be right around 95%. Anything over this won't be noticed/helpful unless you're fighting something higher than +4 (which would be a bit extreme), or when you're debuffed.
Iggy might have had build up turned on in that build, or a gaussian proc was turned on. I'm looking at my katana build and it does right over 423 damage with the gaussian [boost up] proc turned on (without BU active). I don't have his build, however, so I cannot verify, only speculate.
With Willpower, typed defenses are definitely the way to go, and I think that hp gain for defense is probably worth it.
Unfortunately I don't have the values of recharge for the katana chains saved, but the general two are:
DA - GC - GD - GC - SD - GC (which is fairly light on recharge).
GD - GC - SD - GC (no DA stacking, but the damage output is much higher, requires a much higher recharge as well) -
Mine was doing the same versus +4s, that's what lead me to dropping the second accuracy IO.

Here's my try at it.
Good enough recharge for the general katana chain, 1 DA gets you to over 45 lethal, e/n is at 45, f/c is just over 35, and you have SoW and Shmeld to fall back on (especially useful when fighting enemies with -def).
It carries plenty of endurance and 2182 hp, about 227 from cap.
The accuracy versus +4s isn't perfect, but it's pretty close.
Also, I didn't include any alpha buffs, so any of those would work as well (I'd go with either nerve or spiritual.)
Only used one purple set, because anything else in GC just isn't the same.

It's almost sickening how different they are.
Buffs are largely DR'd after a certain point, depending on your AT. One of the few things to not get hit by DR is HP, so you want a bag of those (preferably over 1600, which is the cap for most non-melee ATs).
Defense is pretty much meaningless unless you find yourself swimming in it (elude-style) because everyone will be running tactics at least, and will have gobs of tohit and accuracy set bonuses.
The good thing about FA is the quick recharge heal, FE is an awesomely unique power, and resistance works fairly well. The downside is... you don't have any KB protection. If/when someone ffinds that out, you'd spend most of your time flopping on the ground.
This build is pretty much identical to the one Pine did, only with different IOs (just for a comparison, if nothing else).
