My brute is always ready to taunt for ya
Hopefully the new dogs will behave enough for me to not have to AFK... -
export the registry key to a .reg file ( normal text file with a .reg extension)
Once that's done you can edit the text file with the new version when needed and run it on both account. It will update the registry with the new version and you won't have to navigate to the right registry key on both account every time. -
Quote:Intel, quad-core 8600, 2.66mhzJust to derail things a bit. If you are taking 5 minutes to load past the character loading screen then either your system isn't powerful at all or else you also have problems somewhere along the way. I usually take 30 seconds or so.
EVGA Geforce 275
8gb ram.
As I said, powerful enough...
The problem only happens after a reboot, if I get in the game and exit the following load times do take about 30sec. I am also getting the "driver stop responding" error, which I believe might be related to my issue.
Sorry for the derail.
Zero, whats your sound card manufacturer? although I would find it weird if your sounds driver was preventing you from connecting to the game... -
which loading screen is it getting stuck on? the small loading bar or the one with the characters in the background?
I'm asking because whenever I restart my computer it takes roughly 5min to load past the "character loading" screen. Now since my computer is pretty powerful, that 5 min could be more for you.
I haven't figured out why it's doing it, but after a while i get to the username /password screen. -
Are you planning on finishing a bunch of LGTF??? Cause I haven't seen any official announcement of a rikti invasion... I might ave missed it tho.

Quote:Thanks
A couple of questions:
Wow... So, I can only check memory at boot time? I'll have to look into this, as I'm not sure I have a CD burner programme and I don't actually have recordable CDs at the moment. Will look into it, though.
OK, I had a look at this, but it's listed as designed for XP/Vista 32 bit, whereas I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Will it be compatible with that, too? Also, you say it's designed to stress and overheat video cards, but isn't that kind of dangerous, especially if there are suspicions of overheating problems?
*note*
Something I may have neglected to mention: From time to time, my video will freeze into a black screen and Windows 7 will tell me that my video driver crashed but recovered. This does not cause games to crash when it happens, and it it has persisted for as long as I've had this rig. It persisted without drivers, with the default drivers on the card CD, with the updated drivers I got from nVidia and after I did a Driver Cleaner sweep to remove all old drivers and install new ones. I don't know what it is, but given that Windows 7 seems to have new ways of displaying errors for EVERYTHING, it could be an old problem I've been seeing before manifesting with a new message. After all, what used to be "Illegal Operation" and became the "End Task" window is now also completely different.
there is memtest+ that can be used on 64bit OS and can also be used from a bootable USB device. just make suer the USB is empty cause it will wipe everything on it when installing memtest (same for the normal meme test IIRC) I used it not too long ago and it works well. -
got my binds ready
I actually got 3 so we can have some fun without being too repetitive -

Quote:We should bind things like that to the taunt power and have fun with local chat or broadcast at the raidI believe I'm on the Yellow taunt team this time around. Which brings the question: How do you taunt a giant Mitochondria? Insult it's nucleus! "Your nucleus is so fat, that when it sits around the house, it sits AROUND the house!! Ha!!" Voila! Yellow mito has been taunted.
Other raiders will wonder what's going on...

Quote:I don't even thing Vengeance is popular. Sure, I'm fascinated by it currently, but I never see it, except when...either council or malta...use it against me. That's the whole reason I took it.
The plan seems complex by teaming standards. It's enough of a Rubick's Cube to just get others to "Don't kill my anchor."
Oh Vengeance is pretty popular...at least on the teams I play in.. for some reason my friends refer to me as the Vengbait...
Seriously though, Vengeance is a great tool to go along Fallout and Rez and it helps everyone near it (beside the dead man)

Quote:I should be there with my brute, ready to taunt those yellow mitosI think we'll plan for a Friday night (5/28) EoE hunt in Monster Island starting about 8PM EST and then plan on holding the raid as normal on Saturday night.
Team form ups around 7PM with a 7:30PM kick-off.
As always, bring your level 50 brutes (with and without taunt), dominators, and /pain domination corruptors as a first choice.
See you all there.

thats if your not on a trial account. They are locked out to some chat channel. I believe they can only use local chat and team chat.

Here is our strategy on Champion, if it can help.
1 tank (preferably a WP for high HP and regen) taunt Hami while all the Empathy def/troller in the zone keep AB on him to boost his regen. (these emps' can be part of other team but when AB is up they have to use it on that tank alone). This is the main hami taunt.
6 tank taunt the yellow mitos with 2 healers (emp, therm..etc) running around to help them when needed. (Yellow taunt team) They don't leave their post. even when all mitos are down and raiders are attacking Hami (you'll see why after). they only leave after the 3rd wave for the final hit.
The rest are split in 3 teams: Yellow spike team (Scrapper), Blue team (range damage dealers), green team (trollers) (numbers can vary but a good amount of each is needed)
The scrappers go around killing the yellow mitos while the blue team follows them hitting the blue mitos (don't have to kill them just hurt them so the heals is not on the yellow). At the same time the green team (trollers) start holding the green mitos and if they kill one they pass on to the next. Once every mitos is down everyone group up together to attack Hami except for the yellow taunt team.
Now this is where the strategy really differs. We don't exist after each bloom..
Each raiders need at least 3 EoE. When Hami gets close to a bloom everyone pops 1 EoE, buffers use all AoE buffs and everyone returns to their primary job. This cuts down the raid time a lot.
The major issue is that the lone tanker needs to have at least 4 AB at all time to survive. 1 emp can be dedicated to patch up with heals and call for AB when needed.
I hope this can help you.
Good luck -
I tried taking one with my digital camera but the AA batteries are dead and I don't seem to have spares...even tried the remote batteries and they didn't help

Here's mine. Taken from a very cheap phone camera.. sorry.
Oh and I didn't clean the desk before the taking the picture lol

Quote:You forgot Teleport, which cannot really be compared to anything else.IMO, Ninja Run is a true travel power. SS lacks vertical movement without using the raptor pack. SJ is just like a tall NR that takes up a power. Fly is the only one that remains unique, as you can chat while poking through the sky, immune to enemies and all terrain, and also getting to the mission last. Unless a SS fell in a fissure or something. [har har har]

My parents have that desk lol
And that looks a lot like an Antec 900 II case.... which I was tempted to get for my next build. How do you like it? is it easy to put in and remove components? I've only heard good thing from Antec but never knew someone who had one.
Also, those keyboard really are popular lol -

People still buy enhancement beside IO???
Honestly, I've never bought a SO, DO or TO from anyone but the "quartermaster" CoV side or "Store" CoH side. Still most of the time I just tough it out until 22 and start with basic IO. Before that it's drop only.

I've been reading through this thread and find the idea very interesting. I'm wondering if it would be possible to have a mod link this thread in each server section. I know some server have it but I never saw it on Champion.
I've been playing for a couple years and will probably fill the form later tonight.
This is a great initiative from all of you and I hope many people can benefit from it. -
Quote:that's no longer true. I left for 4 or 5 months and all my bids were still there (actually bought cheap purple sets that way)If you do decide to head off after a month or two, NCsoft never deletes your characters. But after 60 days if you have a bid up in the market the money, or the item you're trying to sell, will dissapear.
I can't recall when exactly but they removed the 60 day limit a year or 2 ago.
Also, I'm not sure if it was mentioned already but the game is instance heavy. Meaning that when people are in missions you will not see them in the open world. They play their mission in their own little world where broadcast, local and other typical channel won't appear. (global channel will still works). They will still show up in Search.
So spamming "LFT" in broadcast will probably not help you get a team, while using global channel and search will help you a lot.
