I was able to dual box yesterday after installing the 10.7. However, I also took time to adjust some settings to see if they would help so I'm not sure if it was just the delay Bill mentioned that allowed me to play or my settings change.


Edit: I just tried again with no problem. I even put all the settings back to max and was still getting 30 fps on both screen.

i'll try tonight with the new drivers and see if I still get the same problem.

i've been having sort of the same issue since I built my new rig. I was able to dual box with my Q6600 quad, 8gb ram, Geforce 275 but now with my new I7 930, 6gb and ATI 5770 I can't seem to even get more than 5fps.

I haven't tried swapping the cards yet, but I can't see why the ATI wouldn't be able to support the dual box, especially since I normally use the /maxinactivefps command.

Did support told you what the issue was with your internet connection? or was it just a bad configuration of your network?

I should be able to make the raid but probably not the EoE hunt.

I don't know PvP, but I had an idea for your Capture the flag. However I'm not sure it would work depending on what can be done with the arena pvp system.

Is it possible to have 2 teams and 1 player neutral? (neutral as can be healed and damaged by both team?

I think i missed something .....

There was a bug a while ago with Mid not importing files correctly. Also, you cannot use the updater in Mids since it stills points to the old URL.

Go to the Titan network and download it from there. Completely uninstall the old Mids then install the new one you just downloaded.

Well at least the complete wipe out will make sure the PC is fresh and ready to go ... lol

I was kinda surprised a 3k$ (give or take) PC would do this...

you might find this weird, but bring back the computer at work tomorrow and see if the same thing happens again. if it doesn't then I think you might have problem with your internet connection at home.

To be sure start and stop the game a couple of time.

hum maybe they changed their installation procedure. They used to install this desktop theme manager on their PC.

Did you have the Alienware visual desktop modder program running ???(sorry can't remember the name)

I believe it comes by default with the alienware (it was on my old one) and I've seen report in the tech forum that it was causing issue with the game to the point where some people could even get in the game and were stuck at the loading blue bar.

Might want to check that if you are reinstalling.

Edit: AlienGUIse by Stardock is the name of the program.

anyway, I think CA is on the right track, playing in Window mode should make the transition between screen easier.

Last year it was the on August 1st (I remember doing the clear all ITF that day) so we might get one around that time.

you make it sound like everyone is using SLI and Crossfire. Last time I checked, SLI and Crossfire was just way too expensive for the performance increase they provided.

A 600$ increase on the budget for a 10% increase in performance (at the very best) is really not worth it for many, even power gamers that are inteligent enough to know when they are throwing money out the window.

I am a power gamer and a computer tech and I can see only 1 application where SLI and Crossfire could potentially be of use and that's not even gaming: It's video / 3d rendering.

so for a average user (don't forget that more than 90% of the gamers aren't power gamer with loads of cash) SLI is useless. Why would a company like NCSoft and Paragon Studio, invest time and effort in something that less than 10% (and that even seems high to me) will use?

And the only argument you seem to be able to make it that TO YOU XP is dead, however, Vista and Windows 7 aren't even officially supported by NCSoft. The code was done 6 years ago for, guess what, Windows XP and 2000. It was never designed for the new redesigned core of Vista and 7. Even less for 64bit. We are lucky enough that it works.

Saying XP is dead because you want it to be, doesn't make you very credible. Also you fail to prove why they should invest time into SLI and Crossfire beside that YOU want them to.
