  1. If you've got room, I'd love to come along on this one. Best way to break in a new respec...
  2. At yet, the server status page still lists them all as being Offline...
  3. Personally, I hate very few NPCS, because, hey, I'm used to being pounded to a pulp. Heck, Suicide Runs describe my standard strategy.

The ones I hate most though, are Ghosts, both the Croatoa ones, and the higher level ones. I also really hate Sappers and Gunslingers.
  4. Eldritch_Knight comes from two different sources. The first is, of course, D&D 3.5, from the Prestige Class, the second is the Giantitp Forums, where that's been my handle since I joined up over there. It was also an Energy/Energy Blaster I had on Guardian, which has since vanished into obscurity. I'll probably remake him come I16.
  5. Positron,

Given the choice of having I16 now, or having your health return, I think the Latter is far more preferable. After all, your illness is probably going to delay it for a bit anyway. Rest up, Eat your Chicken Noodle soup, and try not to go crazy. I've been there, got the t-shirt. It was fun.

    Remember 9/11

Being Canadian, it didn't affect me as much as the rest of you, but I do recall how quickly my government responded to deal with the large volume of redirected air traffic. I'm not sure of the exact number of people, as it was over in the East Coast, but we took care of a lare number of people who were stranded. One of my professors from college, being a psychologist, went down to NYC afterward to help with the large need for counselling and support. As far as how it affected me? Well, it's actually part of the reason I'm on the path I walk now.

    Bacon

    Ahem.

    Bacon:Good.

    Eggs:Scrambled:Complimentary.

    Eggs:Scrambled:Cinnimon: Vanilla: Excellent.

    Need:More.

    Bacon:Nirvana.

    Mark III translation:

I like bacon, but today I tried something new with it. I was going to make vanilla french toast, but discovered I didn't have enough bread, and I had already made the mix. I figured, since it's egg, I might as well try it scrambled. It was quite good, but I suspect it's an aquired taast. I think I'll do it again tommorow.
  8. It's a good thing I'm working then, otherwise I'd have made a move for that slot.
  9. I'm going to be working on a new Mental story, primarily because the last one I tried to write didn't work out the way I wanted it to, so I'm currently retconning his origins and releasing a new story. That said, I am looking for volunteers for a cameo. Plot details are as follows:

After being found by Vanguard in the wake of the Rikti Motherships downing, Mentalshock was examined and given a clean bill of health. Having no memory of his origins, he was trained as a vanguard agent, only to be released into the greater hero community after the end of the Rikti War. By the end of the war, his memories had returned, but all information to pertaining to his true identity and origins have been Classified as Clearance Level Omega.

Those with sufficent clearance are informed that Mentalshock is actually a Rikti who has been reverted to human form. He does not have all of his memories restored, but what he does know is that he was once a Rikti geneticist, who after having a falling out with the Lineage of War was forcibly subjected to his own experimental process and left to die. Because of this, Mental has a latent connection to the Rikti group mind, which he can access at will, but at severe risk to himself and those around him. Because of his betrayal at the hands of the Lineage of War, he willingly joined with Vanguard to fight against his own people.

That's all in the past. What this story is addressing is what happens if that information is leaked to the general population of not only Paragon City, but the entire world. What kind of discrimination would Mental face, How would the meta-human population react, and most importantly, what ramifications would this have to his heroic career.

If you're interested in any of your characters having a cameo in this, please respond in this thread with your characters name, and how you think they might respond.

I'm expecting this story to be about 100K words when completed, but I aim to update it at least once a week. (It will also be posted in the roleplaying section of the boards.)

  13. Hello Boys (and Girls.), (Ladies and Gentlemen)...(Aliens and Mutants) (Freaks and norms) (Muggles?) (Protector Peoples?) (Maybe I'm being a little too PC....).... I'm Baaaack!

  14. Heh, It figures I have the monday free, but am working the tuesday. Good thing you filled already, otherwise I'd have to drop.
  15. It would be easier if split up, certainly.
  16. Assuming I am not working on Monday, I'd be interested on Mentalshock. I'll know by Friday, either way.
  17. Socializer Explorer. I don't think they have a 'triggerhappy/ suicidal' angle...
  18. Heh, what do you know, I'm in luck!

  19. Count me in as a Sub if need be. As for my costume? Big time surprise... (I know A LOT of obscure fairy-tales... my fiancee did take a Children's literature course.)
  20. Well, I did use it, but it didn't have any effect that I saw, specifically because you're not really supposed to have it at that point, are you?
  21. I suppose we do, but that was a BLAST!
  22. That may be true, but some of us had the temp power, but none of us used them.
  23. On another forum, I have a saved PM from none other than Gary Gygax, made two or three months before his death. I don't intend to EVER delete that one.
