I'm back.
Another something that could explain Moonlit's mistaken perception is custom critters in AE, a lot of them have +to hit.
And to the Larker, I'd use Impervium Armor in Tough, you don't need the extra AoE Defense but you definitely could use the extra Recovery and Endurance from Impervium.
On Slash I'd use the proc instead of the Damage/Recharge, you lose 0.4 seconds on recharge but gain almost 30 damage on the attack. Same strategy for Eviscerate.
I wish I had thought of this before, but in Health substitute the Numina's Heal/Endurance for the generic Heal. You gain 20 HP and your Regen increases slightly (0.15 HP/sec).
In Stamina you can drop the Accuracy/Recharge, you're more than soft capped to AoE without the six piece bonus. What you might want to do with the slot I don't know. Maybe drop an Interrupt into Aid Self? Or put a sixth slot in to Health to add a Miracle Heal/Endurance for another 20 HP? I'm sure there's other possibilities also. -
I'd drop the Crushing Impact Acc/Dam IOs and use those 2 slots in Health, I'd add the Miracle Heal and Numina's Heal to get an extra 2.5% Rec and 12% Regen.
You don't need Combat Training: Offensive, it adds 15% to your chance to hit but you're already over 200%, take Placate or Tactical Training: Vengeance instead. Bonus with Vengeance, you can drop a LotG +7.5% Recharge in it.
In Poison Dart, substitute 2 Thunderstrikes for 2 of the Devastations, it gives you 2% Rec. You lose 3.75% Defense Psionic but you have over 60% Resistance to Psionic and you need every little bit of Rec you can get as a NW.
I'd switch the IO sets in Build Up and Tactical Training: Leadership. Adjusted Targeting has better Recharge than Gaussians, and the Gaussian proc in Leadership has a chance of going off every 10 seconds. Yes, most of the time it goes off will be when you're not in combat, but Build Up is only up every 26 seconds, but in Leadership the proc has a chance of going off every 10 seconds.
You can drop another LotG +7.5% Recharge in Combat Training: Defensive instead of the generic Defense Buff IO.
Add a slot to Mind Link and drop one more LotG +7.5% Recharge (you have the extra slots).
Finally, add a slot to Spin and drop an End Red in it. Its a wonderful attack that sucks End like crazy.
Any way, here's the build with the changes I suggested.

Quote:The clones can't move unfortunately. If you've slotted both of your shields to the ED cap for resistance, or took Temperature Protection, you have 90% Fire resistance. That means the lava does 10 times more damage to Trapdoor than you. So try and stand in the lava. It might help to try and taunt the clones in, too. The lava can kill them off with under two seconds of animation.
I haven't tried this post-buff (Trapdoor's regeneration was originally a fair bit lower) but it was fairly simple back then with my fire/fire tank. -
What I want to know about are the huge doors in the Four Gables district of Imperial City, you can see them when you swim around the island.

I hope you're feeling better Diellan and thanks for the work you're putting into this.
(See, I'm trying to be patient.)

The Nerve Alpha slot adds 20% enhancement to your defense, but its an enhancement of the powers that are providing the defense, it doesn't affect the global bonuses at all.
Most of your defense is from global bonuses, the base defense (defense from powers before any enhancement) that your powers are providing are 10.4% for S/L and 17.7% for E/N. The Nerve alpha will be applying its bonuses to these numbers.
The Uncommon Nerve has one third of its enhancement ignore ED. Lets assume that all your defense granting powers are at the ED cap so any further enhancement is multiplied by 0.15.
So the Nerve uncommon provides a boost to your base defense of
0.20*0.3333+0.20*0.6666*0.15=0.06666+0.02=0.08666
For S/L you would add 0.104*0.08666=0.009 to your defense, so just under 1%
For E/N you would add 0.177*0.08666=0.015 to your defense, so 1.5%
So your S/L with the uncommon Nerve would be 43.7% and your E/N would be 43.4%.
The Rare Nerve bypasses two thirds of ED so the boosts would be
0.20*0.666+0.20*0.333*0.15=0.1333+0.01=0.1433
S/L adds 0.104*0.1433=0.015 and E/N adds 0.177*0.1433=0.025
So your S/L with the Rare Nerve would be 44.3% and your E/N would be 44.4%
This is how I understand the Alpha slots to work, if I am incorrect I'm sure someone will stop by to correct me
I spent so much time on the Alpha slot portion I've run out of time to actually look at the build. Sorry for the wall of text. -
Read this thread in the CoH Titan Forums for updates.
When asked, when will the Alpha Slot be implemented, Diellen answered on Dec. 29:
Quote:Keep checking the CoH Titan Forums for updates. Before I20. I should have my first working version of it ready within the next week, after which, it'll have to go through QA testing and there is a good chance of there being some bugs somewhere, so it'll take a week or two after that. -
Been in that room a few times and I've never experienced a slow down there. Not seeing the problem you're having.
Have you tried experimenting with your settings? Try turning ambient occlusion off if you currently have it on, it seems to really hurt performance. I turned it off a while back because of the seemingly random nose dives my FPS would take. -
Foresight is 7.5% defense to all unenhanced, takes Resistance sets (drop a Steadfast +3% Def IO in it), and costs NO Endurance.
YES you should have it.
Weave on the other hand is 5% defense to all unenhanced, costs two other power picks, and costs you 0.325 End/sec. You don't need it to hit the soft cap. -
In Mids, click on Options -> Configuration, that brings up a tabbed menu. Go to the tab labeled "Effects & Maths" and look at the column (on the right) labeled "Suppression." Now click the box next to "Attacked." Now Mids is set to display your totals using the suppressed values for Hide, Stealth, etc.

Quote:Hey Phrox, good choice, I should befriend you.. . . snip . . .
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha - This isn't one I've just watched, instead for some strange reason I've completely forgotten to recommend it before. Don't be put of by the title - this is not really your traditional magic girl show. Sure, kids could probably enjoy it, but, once the show really kicks into gear by episode 6 or so, it's clear that in truth, Nanoha is really aimed at anyone who likes great action shows. Imagine an OTT mecha anime - GaoGaiGar for example - swap the mechs for magic girls and you've pretty much got this. The second (A) and third (StrikerS) series just add to it, the latter in particular. -
Visit the Baen Free Library, lots of great books to read. The point is, if you like them you'll buy other books that the authors wrote. Give it a try, its FREE.

I used to use Thunderbird myself (I use 8 e-mail accounts), but when I got my new computer I started using the Web Mail set ups that my e-mail accounts have. I was so happy with the Web Mail functionality I had I never got around to installing Thunderbird on the new computer. I was not looking forward to setting up the 8 accounts in Thunderbird, too much tedium.
See if your e-mail accounts have a Web Mail set up and if it has the functionality you need. Nice thing is, all my e-mail is stored on their servers, I don't have to back them up myself. -
Quote:And now you know why I recommended it, its hilarious. I should have actually added some descriptions when I recommended the series I did, but, I'm too lazy.I'll get to it when I get to it!
Grr...
Also, finished watching the first two parts of Kenichi TMD and have formed a better description of it. Imagine the wimpiest and most cowardly guy you know. Now, throw him into a dojo with, basically, the six best martial arts masters on the planet. You have Sakaki the karate master who likes a cold beer, Kensei Ma the lecherous kung fu master, Shigure the sedate and voluptuous kunoichi/weapons master/carrier of a mouse named Tochemaru, Akisame the learned judo/jujitsu/aikido master, Apachai the enormous and simple/good natured muay thai master, and the Elder whose name and specialty escapes me ATM. Naturally, it's a rather well-endowed and oblivious classmate that gets him involved with these people, as the Elder is her grandfather, and she's no slouch at the butt-kickery either plus she ends up saving Kenichi a time or two.
Now, what would happen if said wimp manages to beat a big, bad karate practioner in one of the high school clubs? And continues to get lucky in his fights? So much so that he attracts the attention of the local delinquent club.
Oh, and the show has one of the slimiest and most repugnant characters I've ever seen. Nijihara the information broker/collector. -
I made a few changes, more recharge (so Mind Link is perma), more HP (more HP offset the minor lose in regen), more End and more recovery, Psychic Scream is now fully slotted, and more importantly, capped defenses.

If you're a full villain, go to Oroboros. The arc is in there.
I got it on one of my level 50 villains by running the arc through Oro. -

Neither, the human mind is too limited to comprehend the near limitless amount of knowledge encompassed by eternity. To attempt it would destroy what little sanity I possess.
I'll take the Cliff Notes version instead.
