    New Stuff

These guys have built 2 computers for me so far and I've been happy.

    Falcon Northwest
  2. More info.
    Zloth's CoHHelper
    TrendMicro's HijackThis
We are really in the dark otherwise.

Has he tried the command /reload_gfx after zoning?
  3. Its ISP related.
    /net_error_correction 1
    /net_error_correction 2
What is the difference between 1 and 2, no one knows. Hey, no one really knows what net_error_correction does at all. When I'm having those dropped packets (the red lines in the netgraph) that command seems to reduce the stutters I see. Maybe its just the placebo effect I don't know.

Yeah, I know about those. I just want them like the ones that you can just click on in game already. You know, the emote icon down next to chat? Click on that and have them all come up...All of them, not just what is there already.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't really have time right now to go through the quickchat menu and correlate it with our list of emotes to see what's missing. I also can't add any emote that's restricted by a badge, vet reward, invention, or booster pack.

But if someone would like to give me a list of emotes that everyone can use but aren't in the quickchat menu right now...I'll add them in.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is GREAT! Thanks BaB, we appreciate the job you do and the way you do it.
  5. I think this is what you're looking for Sam.
  6. Once you soft cap your build you don't really need your Elude/Kuji-In Retsu. So to quote:

  7. I'd have to say the least popular Trainer would be the one in Independence Port. Show of hands, who actually does missions in IP? Anybody?

I visit IP only to get the Tailor mission or do a TF. If a regular mission takes me there 'Drop mission.'

    Loig out time.

    [ QUOTE ]
For some reason, a lot of my progress bars no longer give progress updates any more--but it sounds like you've got it figured out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Day Job meters only seem to update after you zone at least once. So you might log in and get the notification of Badge awarded, but when you check your badges they show as not having been awarded. Check again after you zone and there they are.

    Graphic Problem

    Just some general suggestions.

    1) Turn on Windows Update, get SP 1
    2) Update your video drivers, NOT the newest one, some people are having proplems with it. Try the 182.50
    3) See if you can free up some HD space, having say 25% free space on your Windows Installation Drive might help with overall performance.
    4) What monitor are you using? I see you're running only 800x600 and using the generic driver for the monitor. Using the specific driver for you monitor may improve your displays appearance.

I'll leave the HijackThis log for later.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Well, yeah, I grok that. Perhaps a pingplotter to the server where the files are hosted might be in order to find the spikey server causing the hiccups. Anyone know the IP address?

/I'm a little lazy... it's late or I'd go look it up somehow.
//Probably with with a network tracing utility I have, watch the packets.

The final connection to the updaters is through a Limelight Network server, Limelight does practice throttling and handles a lot of financial transactions which of course have higher priority than our traffic.

I checked again right now, and some are through LAX (the airport) and some through Limelight.

And if anyone's worried about name clashes... you can search the EU board.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So... I wonder what they'll do if someone from the EU boards has the same name as someone from the US boards...

    [/ QUOTE ]

The same thing that happens when you copy the same character over to the Test Server multiple times, you get a number added to your name. The one with the newest reg date will get a number and a one time only name change granted by our benevolent forum monitors.

    Sound reasonable?

  12. The very first think i thought of when I saw you post:

    PhreaKingEmo

But I don't know if you would like the extra capital.
  13. And of course he'll need a cell phone that matches it.

    first is a blaster ar/dev/munitions
    second a corruptor ar/trap/mace
    third a SoA(bane)

    [/ QUOTE ]

I find the Epic AT's restrictive as their concept is baked in--SoA are always Natural Origin.
Both the Blaster and Corruptor fit better origin-wise and can make for better background flexibility. As for which? depends if you what a good guy or bad guy really.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The SoA's first costume slot is ONLY SoA costume parts, so you wouldn't be able to use the Cyborg costume pieces until level 10 when you can get your 2nd costume slot. (SoA's can get a costume slot at 10 instead of having to wait til 20 like most, sans the Halloween salvage that is.)
  15. Currently there is a bug with the 'flee when near defeat' scripts. The boss is running as soon as he detects you (before you even target, let alone damage him), and his detection range is HUGE.

The boss might detect you when you enter the first floor of a multi floor map, and book for the elevators on the floor he's on. When he reaches the elevators YOU FAIL!

It happened to me last week.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Theres was a lot more, but I would take a long time too type it all, and for some reason the chat box won't show up in screenshots.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you type /screenshotui 1 that will show the UI in the screen shots. Also you could turn on chat logging and have a log of every conversation you see while in game. (Everything you see in your chat box is logged. Makes good black mail material )
  17. AT: Stalker EM/Ninjitsu
    Body Type: Female

When I had Ninja Reflexes running I did not see FX for the lightning, spin, cast, or presto chango costume change emotes. (Danger Sense did not cause the suppresion of the FX however.)

Can the Blyde Square music be deleted from the game and the FTP site please? Seriously... it's bad. Like 70's porn soundtrack bad.

Actually, that one is my favorite.

  19. Take a look at NCSoft Support and give the FAQs a try.

You'll end up running their Network Tool and submitting a support ticket. You will be creating a Support Account at this time which will have a different login and password from your Master Account and your Game Account (another thing to keep track of ).

They will have you jump through some hoops but they can help you, unfortunately its Friday, so you won't get a responce til Monday probably. Good luck.
  20. [ QUOTE ]
But why do I get Inf for doing FAKE missions in AE?

    [/ QUOTE ]

What I like to think is that the AE corporation is actually broadcasting your missions to millions of viewers all over the world, kind of like a "Super Bloopers and Practical Jokes" (virtual)reality show.

So, remember all those face plants you did yesterday? Saw them, HA HA

  21. Looking at the Registry Information for Current User entries of your CoHHelper, we see lots of unknown and 2147483647 (BTW 2147483647 in binary is 1111111111111111111111111111111)

If you are running Windows Vista, it’s best not to install the game to the default directory. The game puts some user data (screenshots, keybind files, …) into the game directory itself and that’s a big no no under Vista. Vista can still run the game fine if it’s located there but it can get a little confusing (see “Missing Files” below).

    [/ QUOTE ]

So copy the Updater to your Desktop (the actual EXE file, not a shortcut). Now uninstall CoH, then reinstall CoH using the Updater on your Desktop to your D drive.

Edit: Texas, I don't believe it to be a driver problem, the screwed up registry entries are for the game.
  22. His real problem is a small PS (250 watts, 16 Amps @+12v), most video cards (including the one you linked to) have higher PS requirements than what his Dell is packing.

Edit: I realized I should elaborate. Kryhavoc, the video card that Dell itself recommends has a higher PS requirement than your Dell Dimension 3000 has. If I were you I'd check again with Dell about your upgrade, mentioning the small PS you have and the minimum requirements of the video card.
  23. Do the missions of your first contact at least until you get their phone number. This way you can get the cape and aura missions at levels 20 and 30 respectively w/o having to go see them in person. If you even suspect that you would like to have a cape or aura costume with this villain, get their phone number.
