  1. I linked to the first episodes of the comics I read that I haven't seen mentioned yet.

    Evil Inc.
    Sunset Grill
    Eerie Cuties
    Underling Comic

    NSFW! You have been warned!
    Menage a 3
  2. I love having a ranged attack on my scrappers, but I hate Laser Beam Eyes. I don't want laser beams coming out of my eyes! I'd prefer it emanating from my characters hand (either one).
  3. I had successfully forgotten about it until YOU reminded me!

  4. With your build all you need to do is add 3 LotG +recharge to make ML perma (taking into account cast time). Six slot Mind Link with Def/Recharge IOs an Adjusted Targeting recharge IO, and one of your LotG +recharge IOs and you're there. Now drop the whole Fighting Pool.
Three LotG +recharge aren't that expensive, put in some bids and just be patient.
  5. Marcian,

My personal favorite teas are Dragon Well (a green tea) and Hobee's Cinnamon Orange Tea (they also make a killer coffee cake).
I prefer using Muslin bags myself, I have several, just give them a good wash after use.
I'm sure you can find some stores in your area selling loose tea leaves, prepackaged tea bags are not a good thing. (With the possible exception of Morning Thunder; warning DO NOT add milk to Morning Thunder, it will curdle.)
I feel that every time you make coffee or tea, you should start with an empty, clean kettle. Don't leave the old water in there and just refill it. *shudder*

Attacks from the Veteran Rewards Program are affected by recharge and accuracy/tohit buffs, but no other buffs. However, their damage can be increased if the target is suffering from resistance debuffs.

    Second build use

On several of my characters, my primary build is slotted with level 35-40 IOs and is for all level 35+ content. The second build is a low level exemplar/malfactor build, with most pre-level 30 powers 6 slotted and uses frankenslotting and some low level IOs.

I still haven't put purples in the low level build, but I probably will at some point (the high level builds already have some).

When I asked my mom that question at the age of 5 she handed me "The Encyclopedia of Human Sexuality," a medical text book. It had a chapter on abnormal sexuality.

Suffice it to say I had interesting conversations at school and the Principal and Councilors requested I not "share" my insights with the other students. And they called my mom into the Principal's Office.

  9. Just note, Surveillance will break hide since you have the Shield Breaker proc in it. Don't want you to find out the hard way if you didn't already know.

Also remember that when malfactoring you lose some IO bonuses, keep that in mind.

    Good level 50 build.
  10. Roderick, SHIFT is a chord key, I don't think you can bind it as a trigger (i.e. /bind SHIFT "<command>" won't work) because it interferes with using it as a chord.

    Let's play Name That Key!

    Yes, it is SYSRQ

    Widow Help...

A little trick with Mind Link, 6 slot it with Def/Recharge and Def/End/Recharge IOs. You can get 100% recharge in Mind Link that way. I slotted some attack sets with +Recharge and got +55%, that and the +20% from Mental Training, and the +100% Recharge in Mind Link itself, I have Perma-Mind Link. Its not that expensive.

Do the arcs Red side so you get the merits, play the BM with your drops and judicious use of Merit rolls. You'll be rolling in Inf pretty quickly.
Also, remember to do all the different Mayhems as you're leveling. The Invader badge is one of the easiest to get and it gives +5% HP. All you have to do is get all the Exploration badges in the Mayhems.

As for skipping powers, Combat Training: Offensive you will want before the manditory level 24 respec, but you don't need it after the respec. Fully slotted it adds only half an SO's worth of accuracy, you have better power choices at that point.

I feel Vengeance is skipable myself, you won't even need Elude really, you should be soft capped w/o it. I also skipped Confront and Smoke Grenade.
If you want to Crit from hide or after a Placate, Build Up is good. If you want sustained heightened DPS and less burst damage go with Follow Up. (I like the burst so I went with Build Up myself.)

    Rookie Stalker

You could try Elec/Nin, Lightning Rod (level 32) does not break Hide, follow it up with Thunderstrike (level 26). The only thing left alive is probably a boss, assassinate his ***.
If you plan on a solo only career, NRG/Nin is good. NRG is too slow for teaming, spawns w/o Elite Bosses or AV's are all dead before your heavy hitting attacks finish animating. On the bright side though, you feel like you have 3 assassinate level attacks.
  14. PingPlotter is a useful freeware tool to run traceroutes for you.
  15. Take a look here (also, pay attention to the last page). SLI/Crossfire doesn't net any real gains for CoX, so you may not want to go that route.

    Hope that helps.

N.B.: The GTS250 is in the 6th tier in the hierarchy chart, it is quite capable of running Ultra-mode at decent FPS (30+) if you don't insist on maxing everything out, you don't really need a new card.
  16. I stop a fair distance from the BM, tell the pets "STAY!" and then go about my business at the BM. When I leave I tell them to follow. All good.
  17. Fiery Embrace in Fire Armor is a second Build Up type power, since you're going Fire Melee anyway, Build Up+Fiery Embrace gives you +225% damage for 10 seconds. Now, don't you want to do +225% damage?
  18. I always like to take a peek in the little cave in Sharkhead full of body bags, its so picturesque. I think its spare parts for the Freakshow in the area. (That's a hint as to where it is.)
  19. Franken slot, man! Franken slot!
Procs and franken slotting are the ways to go. You don't have enough slots to really go for set bonuses, except maybe the 2 or 3 item bonuses. When you get to 47 you can use HO's too which are actually slightly better than franken slotting, although more expensive in general.

I also agree. A mature Soldier build, Bane or Crab can be a blast but getting there can be tedious and discouraging. Do a Widow first, getting to level 24 is still a little unpleasant but not as bad as a Soldier. After the level 24 Respec the Widow gets MUCH better.
After enjoying the incredible ride from 24 to 50 on a Widow you'll be able to weather out the tedium of an immature Soldier much easier, you'll know what level of performance to look forward to.
  21. I use the same general keyboard, mouse set-up for all my characters. In general it breaks down to the following catagories.

    Movement: wasd and Mouse Look
Targeting: Mouse Buttons 4 and 5, G (target_custom_next alive for glowies)
Powers (combat, attack): TILDE through 7, T,Y,and U
    Powers (combat, defensive): C, V, B, N
    Powers (movement related): Z, SHIFT+Z, CTRL+Z, ALT+Z
Powers (ally buff, or MM commands): NUMPAD(all), SHIFT+NUMPAD(all), CTRL+NUMPAD(all)
    Debugging: SHIFT+N (netgraph), SHIFT+F (show_fps), SHIFT+. (where_am_i), SHIFT+/ (loc)

Unmentioned keys retain their usual function.
