I killed a character in RP once, long ago. It was the culmination of an epic plot of disillusionment and betrayal. It was pretty neat.
My Table Top experience mostly consists of being the Game Master, but I don't really count those characters that died, because that's what NPCs are for. -

Quote:I feel the same way about planting bombs at Nazis' feet.It looks like my super-speedster is going to have to wait, since I can't seem to tear myself away from the Major's new Super Strength animations. You'd think that after a day and a half, the novelty would wear off, but I just keep running around punching things and grinning from ear to ear.

Spartan is not an RP hater. He's just a hater.
(I was part of the short-lived RP static team Spartan started, actually.) -
I'm having lots of fun with the new difficulty settings.

Hey, don't dis my Pacing of the Turtle. I love my -recharge Caltrops.

Note to everyone: the devs forgot to give out free tailor coupons.

Quote:I'm kind of tired of this response. As a heavy-duty, basically full-time RPer in the game, this argument simply doesn't hold water. For instance, I have three alts who are all the same character. Why shouldn't their items be shared? Also, I think that a storage/bank area like you propose has been dismissed because rewards are earned by a character, so it wouldn't make RP-sense to have items transfer.
There's a plethora of In-Character, RP reasons to allow transfers between characters, and it really isn't up to the developers to tell us what is or isn't In Character for our characters.
Technical or balance concerns are legitimate. "RP" concerns are not. -

Hi Sackboy. Why aren't you a sack anymore?

I wish they'd just forever abandon the idea of base raids and bases for PvP. The i13 base building changes has been the biggest boon for base building, and I think the community has shown it would prefer "fluff" bases to raidable ones.

A shame, because this is one of my favourite performances by Nimoy. -
If you like tanking and want to try redside, there's a bit of debate whether Brutes or MasterMinds are the "tanks" redside. I recommend trying them both, then deciding MasterMinds are the best and playing one.
Welcome to the game! -
If there was a version of Granite Armour that allowed me to customise my look rather than just being a giant lump of generic rock, I might actually play a Stone something.
I always hated that Faultline turned into a big nothing instead of his Riker-esque self when he went stone, and then I had to wait for his lumbering rear to catch up too. -
Defense is nerfed in PvP now, Sorah. In fact, PvP after the i13 "fix" plays absolutely nothing like regular PvE content. You litereally have to learn whole new strategies, relearn all your powers, and completely rethink your style of play.
It is, perhaps, the biggest error I've seen Paragon Studios make. i13 was a flat out moronic move to make PvP more "popular" by completely rewriting the game.
I'm not sure I'm going to be going along with any more RP/PvP events. -
Quote:The whole Warburg thing was a fiasco. But seriously: that's kind of messed up.Bad place to gather for RP: in plain view in a PvP zone.
A bit of advice for the Supremes: turn on 'hide from searches' before zoning in. PvPers do frequent searches in order to find fleeting pockets of PvP activity across 3-4 different zones. If I see more than three people in Warburg in a search, I drop whatever I'm doing and head straight there. Other PvPers likely do the same. -
The solution to a zone that everyone travels through is two zones that everyone travels through. I really don't understand why you have such difficulty with this idea. If St. Martial was as convenient for high level villains as Cap is, a portion of those villains will use St. Martial, instead of Cap, thus reducing the load of people in Cap.
-
The general idea is to create more zones people travel through (or stop by in to get something done). Redside especially needs this, because right now everything happens in Cap, and the zone could really use a little less congestion.

I just realised that if CoX had CO's naming policy, I would be playing my level 50 Tanker, Blue Bunny, instead of my level 50 Tanker, Lapin Lazuli.
And that fact alone makes me realise that I don't much care for CO's name policy. -
Quote:Nope.Wouldn't you agree that lack of teams,or teaming is destroying the game too?
A) This game is not being "destroyed". It's still vibrant and lively. 100k subscribers is no small feat. Don't let WoW's numbers fool you; 100k used to be the pinnacle of achievement in this genre. It remains a damn fine accomplishment.
B) I see no lack of teams. You might not get teams for whatever reason, but I pretty much get a team any time I want one. Maybe you should try cultivating some contacts in the game rather than relying on random strangers?
So perhaps the problem here is that we're not Chicken Little, and we don't think the sky is falling.
