My experience is that they keep the right names when first summoned, but when zoning, the names get all mixed up. I haven't looked to see if it's alphabetising them.

Seriously. The costumes are why I play. I love the character creator, I love being able to make different looks and different characters. Having options - especially options that might be vital to a concept, like "invisible skin" or "wings" - locked away within the Veteran's Reward system really destroys that aspect of the game.
If a costume part isn't in the game at all, I can accept that it's not there to use. If it's there, but locked away from me just because I haven't played long enough? Game over. F that. -

Almost certainly. Whomever invented them certainly didn't think women had toes.

To be fair, when wearing heels, that is how we look when we walk.

The Triage Beacon from Traps is a nice AoE +regen. It's not +recovery, though.

Of course I am. That's why I haven't saddled myself with too many responsibilities like he has!

While I'm still waiting for Manticore to answer my question, I firmly believe the 40+ content of this game is intended to make players feel like they are peers and rivals of the signature characters, not lackeys. So defeating Tyrant one-on-one and saving Statesman (or for villains, taking down Recluse and at least one of his Lieutenants) is a wholly appropriate storyline.
It's important to note that the respective top-level Task/Strike Force involves either taking down a hugely buffed Recluse and all his lieutenants, or taking on the entire Freedom Phalanx at once. And the Reichsman plot line has the man siphoning off the power of every other Marcus Cole in existence to reach his heights of power. That's why these plot lines require teams and not individuals - it's not because the signature characters are mightier than the players, but because the signature characters are either en masse or wearing plot armour. -

I actually agree with stever. Adding built-in voice chat is both social pressure and network overhead we don't really need.

Quote:Well, assuming you're not satisfied with the 5 years of playing the game...Screw getting rid of Vet costumes to pay for packs. If someone has poured over 5 years of subscription into the game, they deserve something.
Let Veterans keep them, and allow non-Veterans to buy them. -

I am so glad to see heroes embracing the glory that is Traps.

Quote:Neither do new costumes, new costume slots, or the entirety of Power Customisation. It makes no sense to add it to this type of game and would do nothing for the overall gameplay.
Not everything is about "overall game play". Some things are about "Quality of Life (play)", "Nice Little Feature", or "Just Plain Neat". -
Quote:Except that the "extra" powers aren't "new" to the game - they're in the game, and (largely) attainable, on a temporary basis, by all players if they take the right steps (missions/arcs). So giving a veteran a bonus of something that is in the game, but they don't have to work for (or get more permanently, or get at a discount, etc.) is a perfectly reasonable veteran reward that doesn't fall into the "locking away things arbitrarily" category. The problem with taking out costumes and replacing it with "X" is that it opens up the precedent for taking something out of the vet system and replacing it with "X" on the basis of "fairness" as you put it.
This is just the classic slippery slope argument, but slopes are rarely as slippery as advertised.
Veteran's Rewards are the only way to receive trench coats, angel/demon wings, boxing gloves/shorts. There are other ways to receive respecs, costume changes, character slots, merits, etc.
I'd like to see the VR costume pieces added to the game, and the benefit replaced by a free costume unlock instead - whatever sort of unlock the Veteran desires, be it a Vanguard piece, a weapon unlock, a craftable costume piece, or what have you. That way Veterans still get the costume bonus, but no longer have exclusive access to particular costume sets or pieces.
