  1. The simple answer: +to hit is applied before defence, +accuracy applied after. So +to hit generally has a greater effect on overcoming defence.

I saw them too, so if you're crazy, at least we're not alone.

No, he's not saying that at all. He has, many times, accepted that it should only be available after buying GR. No one gets anything for "free". You want to play a Hero Brute, you're buying GR. The only issue is whether that Hero Brute can start in Atlas, or has to start in Mercy or Praetoria instead.

Wait wait wait. Slow down a second.

What we have here is a failure to communicate. (I think).

After buying the GR expansion, instead of having to run a character through Praetoria to get the hero/villain choice, you will instead be able to create a character of any of the ATs available to you (so you still have to unlock H/VEATs) as either a hero or a villain, starting in Atlas/Galaxy or Mercy as appropriate.

How does that cost Paragon or NC money? The option is not available to those that have not purchased GR.

It's already been accepted that you shouldn't get this choice unless you've bought the expansion. So, with the understanding that you have to buy GR for this option, do you still object?

Am I correct in this assumption?
You overestimate the damage in Traps. It's still primarily a debuff set - Trip Mine and Time Bomb are the only "damage" powers in the set, and Time Bomb is fairly universally accepted as being complete rubbish.

Defenders have significantly higher numbers for the -tohit, +defence, -defence, -resist, and other such (de)buffing aspects (33% higher, to be precise) than Corrupters have.

That said, the Corrupter is almost certainly going to "feel" more like a Blaster because of Scourge - before Scourge, the difference in damage isn't that much (about 15%.)

  8. Customers don't want to see your new stuff? Fine, let them linger in the old crap, if that's what they want. Customers not seeing your new stuff isn't going to hurt your business, because it's not like you're trying to take the old stuff away.

Every argument against this idea is based on a nonsensical stance of "people have to see the new stuff, end of story". That's not sound business, nor a reasonable stance to hold on any issue, business or no.

You tie the idea to buying the expansion and all arguments against the idea vanish immediately. There is no reason not to do this.
  9. Just for the record: Super Strength is pretty much the damage powerhouse for Tankers, and isn't a great comparison point. There's a reason Scrappers don't get it, and it's not flavour - SS Scrapper damage would be utterly obsene.

The STF Recluse is not just Recluse. It's Recluse plus the buffs of his four towers. Without the Towers, he's a tough, but otherwise pretty standard AV.

    Statesman totally cheats, though.
  11. Yeah, henchman levels are fine. Supremacy does a lot to make up for whatever disadvantage in combat they gain from lower levels, and x8 is a pretty common solo run for a lot of high-level MMs. I don't think anything's broken here.

I think the secondary in question probably best determines how well a MM can do without Stamina. Fire-and-Forget secondaries like Traps and FF probably do best without it, while active ones like Dark and Poison probably need it the most.
  13. You surely meant C+C=Random C, yes?
  14. The Shoji Wall Lamps allow stacking of wall items, and, with careful effort, you can stack things diagonally on their corners.

  18. I'd consider Leadership one of the most important pools for most Masterminds (I do have a Tankermind that runs without it, but she's a weird build) - MMs get the second best numbers out of Leadership redside (excepting the VEATS from the race) and have a small farm of minions to benefit from them even when solo.

Both of my level 50 MMs have Fitness - the Tankermind needs it, because she burns through end pretty quick running a bunch of defensive toggles and having Dark Miasma as a secondary. My other MM, a Bots/Traps, could almost certainly do without it, but I really have no idea what I'd take in its place, so she keeps it. Fitness fits with her concept anyway - genetically engineered perfection, so Fitness reflects her "better than human average" abilities.

The two builds, with pools, are:
Tankermind: Thugs/Dark, with Fitness, Flight, Presence (for Provoke) and Fighting (for Tough/Weave).
Mastermind: Bots/Traps, with Fitness, Leaping, Leadership and Medicine.
  19. I tried searching and looking around in the in-game help and couldn't find a thing about coalitions, so I'm going to ask: how do I set up a coalition?

I'm the superleader of two different SGs that I would like to coalition together. Is this even possible without being able to have both characters logged in at the same time? And what are the commands used to set up coalitions?

My comments: some of your enhancement choices seem odd, particularly in Focused Accuracy and Physical Perfection. There's no reason not to maximise +heal in PP and you really should have Numina's pure heal in there.

Also, the chance for Build up in Gaussian's is pretty useless, even in a toggle like Focused Accuracy; you'd be better off frankenslotting it for to-hit and end redux to actually be able to get some use out of it. What I'd probably opt to do instead, though, is drop Focused Accuracy for Conserve Power, stick another slot in PP and stick Miracle's +Recovery in there. Or stick it in Health.
