  1. While we're at it, how about the tattoo sleeves/shirts that males get being given to females as well?

Not even the Brute forums think Brutes are as tough as Tankers. Brutes don't even come close to replacing Tankers.

Scrappers have far more to worry about from Brutes than Tankers do.

If your Minions and Lieutenants are getting toasted without heals, you're neglecting your pets. With both of my 50 MMs, the Bots and Thugs are all soft-capped (or at least nearly so), and don't have problems with getting massacred.

Of course, both MMs also pull the alpha onto themselves, not their pets, and let their own defences and BG mode take care of it. I'm always pulling alphas with them (of course, I pull alphas with my Corrupter too, but that's another story.)
  4. Any MM is an excellent soloer, of course, but your best bets will probably come through any combination of Bots or Thugs and Traps or Dark. FF also factors in, but reports are that it tends to be boring, and unlike Traps and Dark, FF doesn't really have any tools to make things die faster or pull you out of a fire if your defence fails you for some reason.

So, Bots or Thugs, Traps or Dark. Any combo.

Clearly they were having a fight in Hypothetia.

  9. Once a few redside players see real Tanks redside, this nonsense that Brutes are "villain tanks" will forever be put to rest, and then Brutes will be able to just unleash the hurt like they were always intended to.

    Everybody wins!
  10. However, your personal resistance is applied before the damage is split, so any resistance you can gain will decrease how much you take and how much your pets take in BG mode.
  11. Well, if you ever want to skate the dark side, feel free to look me up. I don't do heroes.

    We are one

Dear devs: stop locking our EU brothers and sisters away from us. Merge the server lists. We've been good kids. Let us all share the same pool.

    Are we hated?

Traps is plenty team friendly, so long as your team understands the rule "We're fighting HERE, make it so."

Might not use most of the powers in caverns, but for end-boss fights it's divine.
  14. My general rule on the line between "Natural" and "Technology" is whether you can buy it in a store. If it's available for general purchase, or otherwise somehow widely available (black market, for villains, would qualify), you're still "Natural". If it's high-tech stuff you have to make/repair yourself or some gadget you stole/were given by someone else who likewise made it themselves, it's "Technology".

So it's mostly a matter of degree. Mundane Technology is "Natural". Sci-Fi Technology is "Technology".

    Contact Overhaul

Both ideas sound quite dandy to me. Salvage prices and supply on the market have been simply ludicrous for quite some time, and things don't seem to be getting any better.

I should look you up. It's so rare I find people willing to do Mayhems the right way.

For me, my VG mates love teaming with my Masterminds. I'm not sure if I'm just a good Mastermind, or a good build-designer, though. I certainly don't micro-manage my pets like is so often suggested, and both of my 50 Masterminds are engines of destruction with ridiculous defences and are more than capable of soloing 8-person content by themselves.

My Bots/Traps does spend time healing teammates with Aid Other, though, but that's mostly because she and her Bots are all soft-capped, and thus I really have nothing else to do anyway.

(The Thugs/Dark doesn't do much healing, because of the pitiful radius on her Twilight Grasp. She concentrates on debuffing and taunting, instead.)
  19. Name: The Supreme Society

Currently Recruiting: Looking for new players.

RP Level: RP-Heavy, with regular RP nights and RP mission teams.

    PvP Level: Casual RP-PvP

Theme/Concept: The Supreme Society is an old-school group of costumed super villains out for the classical "take over the world" scenario. Think Legion of Doom or an evil Squadron Supreme. On VirtueVerse (currently undergoing revision).

Activity: Several dozen members, with a core active around ten to twelve. Most activity Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday nights with occasional activity in-between.

Requirements for Membership: Must be open to RP, must be a Villain (anti-heroes wouldn't really fit in). Traditional spandex-and-cape costumes are favoured, but not required.

    Leadership: Eiko-chan, Hymnal, Agonus

    In-Game Contact(s): @Eiko-chan, @auto-run, @The New Black, @Larina, @Raahh

Out-of-Game Contact(s): On the forums: Eiko-chan, Agonus, tensionfade

URL: The Supreme Society on GuildPortal

Other Details: Now under new management!

The Supreme Society maintains an OOC channel to keep members in touch with one another even across various alts. Consider us very "alt-friendly". Folks are generally willing to switch alts to make teams work.

The only downside to MM attacks is how horribly end-inefficient they are, and while some secondaries need to keep this in mind (Dark, Poison), others (Traps, FF) are more than welcome to waste their endurance because they really have nothing better to do with it.

Just to give you a feel for how much this is so, a base Mastermind, factoring in BG mode, has more effective health than a health-capped Tanker.

And your resistances are applied BEFORE sharing, and thus effectively apply to the entire virtual health pool.

A MM isn't going to out-tough a Stone, Invuln, or WP, but it can probably beat lighter sets like EA or Fire. And MMs are way better at taking Alphas than Brutes.

When fighting enemies with 25% defence or more.

    (Assuming no +tohit, 25% defence yields a 50% chance to hit - 50*1.8 = 90, which is less than maximum to-hit chance.)
  23. Would a suggestion allowing Villains to select Patron Pools without having to complete a Patron Arc be visited with as much rejection?
