Hey guys and gals,

Helping out a guy here that really wants to get back into coh but he's having problems creating an EU trail account.

"So i got abit nostalgic for this game (played it what 3/4years ago) so decided to download the EU client (as im from UK) and try the 14day trial.



So i download the 2.7gb client goto the EU website click on the 14day trail which takes me (after a click or 2) to the NCsoft webby, i then create a game account with 14day trial. I try log on ....no joy so i try again...no joy i. I then go back to the NC accoutn page and check game accounts now next to my OLD CoH account it has EUROPE next to it but next to the trial account it doesn't.



So i guess its made a trial account for the US servers, no biggie i think i just create a EU one (thinking i did something wrong) so i go thru the process again, click the 14day trial from the EU site link, click the little UK//EU icon down bottom where it says "EU Customers click here" i then click create 14day trial, create a game account ..... it creates another US account... i try again and the same.



So im stuck, cant figure out why the site wont let me create a EU account, and i know this is a US website just maybe someone from here can help, cause i cant even post on the EU forums without a active game account!"

Ps. I just tried to make a trial account with no success at all, me thinks the EU trial page is broken...

Wish it would hurry up dang nammit!...I just made a illusion/storm troller on defiant called Phanto Mime and really what to check out that troller goodness.

This wouldn't be them deleting all the reported architect arcs would it?..... I hope not, taking down the servers to put a load of data into the trash can is a little low tech....

It would be nice to have an announcement on the patcher a few days before hand....that is after all a logical thing to do if there's going to be down time isn't it?

I find it frustrating ...

NCsoft you need to alert people in advance, we as players have events and tasks we organize ourselves and this blatant disregard for informing your community of server down time is a failure in company/customer relations.

The thing is there's several things in that booster pack that where up on the suggestions board....suggested by the players....now those same players have to pay extra for content that they thought of in the first place.... o.O

make the starting storylines intersect and have the appearance of being inter-dependant.

Bah...never mind me...i was going by information I gained from another source, which now makes no sense to me at all....my bad I apologise and sorry if I confused the issue.

OK it sounds like the old Geforce 8 series card you have from the Advent was a plug and play....but your new PC doesn't support plug and play cards.

Nearly all graphics cards ( besides the plug and play format ) plug directly into the motherboard so it does look like you do need a new card.

As I said before find yourself a cheap non plug and play geforce 8 series card ( if you find a cheap 9 series even better).


Installing new cards onto the motherboard isn't a big deal really, you should get instructions with a new card anyway and if you don't...well there are lots of home made guides on the net.

can you give us a bit more detail, firstly...

What operating system are you currently using.

Secondly, It sounds like your using the bog standard ( integrated )graphics/audio?
If so ....methinks you may need to upgrade there, I suggest an Nvidia graphics card, doesn't have to be an expensive one either...I recommend any of the Geforce 8 series cards...there very cheap ( good budget cards ) and will run COH rather well. ( well enough to play on recommended graphics settings )
