One of the mercs is a medic, so that's cool. I have a lvl 19 merc/ar mm and she's pretty sweet. Although the AT to me is quite different than what I am used to...she is my "bored" toon(Twilight's Child; and when I made this toon I had no idea of the similar named npc's in Ouro). And I actually got to fight an EB in CAP at lvl 16. Forget what arc that was, a new one I hadn't done before. I don't know anything at all about ninja pain mm 's but they sound damaging.. Have Fun with whatever you decide!

I also started a Grav/Elec recently and so far the early levels have been fun, she's a little spit-fire called E-POW (because G-POW was taken) I love elec on my blaster, and I love the playstyle of doms so it just seemed natural...I chose GRAV as a primary because it was something I hadn't tried yet. I am not dissapointed or really impressed...yet (only lvl12) The other posters have already answered your question I just wanted to chime in. Happy Hunting!
