I'm playing on default heroic mode. I never change it. And I am most certainly playing normal missions and story arcs, not MA, and all have the same problem...

This sounds stupid, but you know I like playing on Heroic and I've notice that at some point it ceased to exist.
I would like it when I go in a mission minions are ALL WHITE, Lieutenants are ALL YELLOW, etc.
You can say you are trying to ramp up difficulty through the level or balance it through out but the fact of the matter is those barely work. I almost never see a white tier mob unless i level up during the mission and I am always set to heroic.
i am sure this was not the intention of the devs to have it like this so please fix it or make the coding so there is no "ramp up" or "balance" because ramp up in heroic you don't get ramp up in it slowly gets harder you get ramp as in it suddenly becomes impossible to play as casually as you were...

Not that it makes a huge dent in your math, but there are a large number of us that pay yearly, and so pay less than $15 per month. It's more like $11.95 if I remember correctly. Still a lot of money per month, but like BaB already said: They have a lot to pay for. Businesses are expensive to run. I know this, I pay the bills for the company I work for.

I forgot all about that... that means that they are getting between 13.2-18mil with 100,000 subscribers and with the lower end it leaves 1.2-6mil left over for stuff we don't know or just unknown correct figures...
Also while I agree a MMORPG shouldn't focus on "content" in the way that most MMORPGs do I also have to point out that whenever a simple RP only aspect comes up which would add much more life to the community than a few new missions it's always shot down... I dunno I think if you really want content to last the content shouldn't be directing missions and such but more options in customizing our characters... in other words... more base stuff, more enchancements, more accolades, more costume options, more powers, more power customization, more ATs, and most importantly more stuff that allows me to continue to play a character and continuously improve it. I know people don't like that add more 50+ stuff, but the thing is i feel cheated to get to level 50 and then i either help others, farm, do things i could do at lower levels, or create a new character. Why wouldn't I as a supreme lvl 50 be able to get better through different methods or be expected to take on different threats? -
The only real problem with this game in keeping subscribers is if you were persistent you could experience it all in 4 or 5 months save for playing through it with different ATs and really I don't like the fact that to experience said content you have to make 4 characters. You play a char for a month... then another then another then another...the 5th month is just so you can go back and finish up the lil odds and ends...once you've done that you've played all the content in the game...
Of course this is much the same length of time as other MMOs 3-6 months of lots of play time, but then they do that with ONE character and this game also divides that content up between good and evil sides and some people don't like playing the other side so for one character it's more like 1.25 months of content and that's mehish...
Also, assuming there are 100,000 subscribers at $15 that's a 1.5mil income per month or 18mil income a year... The average worker in any area of gaming make an average of 60k (testers usually make less but and devs make more but it all averages to about 60k) assumeing there are about 100 or so people running this game since the expansion that's 6mil minimum right there. Assuming there are 2 buildings and renting a building can be pretty expensive up to a 100k a month so that's 2.4mil... that leaves 10.6mil for servers which there are what? 11? I know that to run a private server with a 100 or so users that costs around 1k a month so assuming 3k per server that's 30x1k per server per month so 330k... or roughly 4mil...6mil maximum profit. I'm sure i'm off on these numbers as i'm just rounding from what i know. More than like the numbers are higher and the profit is lower. -
Shouldn't it be obvious that the "war" isn't over InfamousBrad. And if you really think about the history and how things work there is no "2nd Rikti War" It's all one war and the only reason that there is an interval between invasion forces is they are trying to recover from loses and preparing another invasion attempt. An ending to a war implies that both sides met peacefully saying the other was the winner...which to my knowledge there hasn't been
On the other hand I think things like this should be done for other groups like Arachnos and the Kheldian wars...Just my opinion. -
The only major flaws i've seen thus far is holes in the city that can't be gotten out of without teleport. even /stuck doesn't work. And whenever you get away from your pets as a mastermind and they "respawn" they stop working and you have to release them to get them to work again.
Other things i see that i dont like is...base desgner is really limited in comparison to a level editer in just about an y other game out there. Most things are too expensive for a solo play to reall live by and having to have certain rooms to have certain types of items is really annoying, especially when you can't like a room without a doorway.
minor nuisances are something like the charges on the powers and various timers are off...but that may just be lag or my controller but i'm pretty sure it's a slight programming error.
