  1. yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh...

I'm just going to do what the title says an omit Joe Q **** from spider-man canon in my brain.

As far as why do it... Well... It's a known thing that when you create a story and a romance gets interjected, even if the dynamics don't really change or the the characters marriages is an interesting to look at, once the courtship is over, whether just hooking up or marrying, ratings and overall attention to the story falls...

Also Spider-Man isn't the first marriage to be removed from canon... Batman and Catwoman were once married and had a child named Helena Wayne that grew up to be the Huntress but that's all been removed from canon ^.^

That is just funny...even without the asians are bad drivers prejudice joke >.>
  3. thanks ^.^ seems though that it is missing a few issues if my count is right...oh well I'll figure it out with that huge head start.
  4. Is there anywhere that tells what week a comic for that month came out on?

    What I mean is...

    Batman aug 2008
    Detective Comics aug 2008
    Robin aug 2008
    Catwoman aug 2008

they are not all released on the same day or week... and when you're going back to back issues is there any way to figure out what week each of those came out? It's easy to figure out with most arcs, but No Man's Land is coming up in my reading and they are not all collected or listed, but they are supposed to followed week to week.
  5. It looks nothing like Bowser as the article suggests, other than the horns, cool find though.

I'm starting to thing Civilization started largely to keep safe from crazy dangerous animals that make today's beast look like a joke.
  6. I haven't watched it yet, but it's on my Netflix queue along with the movie... I'm trying to get through...

    Xena s2-5
The Batman comics i've listed elsewhere
Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman
    Dr. Who episodes
And Weaponology (so far it's interesting...go watch it on netflix)
    and Firefly...

and Superman comics are on list of things to watch soon too...oh and finishing the 2003 TMNT series that I caught up to ans stopped watching...and TMNT comics... and still have the other half of Power Rangers to watch and

    there is just too much...

    btw... movie or series first?
  7. if you paid for the top 2, you should tell him to remove the watermark(the url) if those are your copies of the image.

some parts can be... other parts can't be.

:P titles are the most important thing. Imagine if Batman were named Crazyguy. He would have evolved in a whole different way ^.^

    An idea...

"Hidden Agendas" doesn't sound good and it doesn't work with anything till after this first arc.

Basically there is a twist at the end that reveals who sent the guy back in time, but not why.

    So the story goes from...

    Must stop my own death
    Twist
Why did that guy do that?

The Twist is not so much who the person is but what happens...

There is no known hidden agenda at that point... Just "What happened? Gotta stop it from happening again!"... and then someone else saying they have a hidden agenda comes up.

Of course there is always the easy way out and either name it after the main char or the main group...which should form officially after the first arc. Of course then need to design and name those things ^.^
  11. This comic hurts my head a bit trying to figure out where in canon it would go...

The story takes place in LotDK which takes place between Year 1 and 3...
The issue is released after Zero Hour
It contains people that dealt with Batman and Robin from 1939 and 1952, directly stated.
It also has people talking about Jean Paul-Valley Batman.

So basically for this to happen and be in canon... the people in this story are left overs from Crisis on Infinite Earth that somehow still survived onto New Earth with memories and some time traveled back from alternate Timelines before Zero Hour...and then they all met in the same building..

It's a special issue, I know, and if it were just that I'd be ok with it, but it's not. Its the writer trying to make it fit within the a tale instead of just doing the sensible thing and just putting in several mini stories.

They mean the same thing roughly...

Shadow/Ghost = There is something that is happening that we don't know about.
Shift/Revision = move, modify, change, alter...

so the force that we don't know about is trying to do something...

    Shadow Shift just sounds nice
Ghost Revision sounds ok... seems like a name that has to grow on you.

Also thought of these too, but I like Sacrosanct, for various reasons (though probably the very reasons some might not like it)
    Shadow Shift
    Ghost Revision

I would have thought the resolution would default to the desktop resolution. How would it have ended up so off on his machine?
I believe 1024x768 and then stretches to fit whatever resolution your screen is at which means if you have a wide screen you get characters that look bulkier to you but are skinny little twerps to other people.
  15. According to someone that worked at adobe that I knew they like that amateur and small businesses use photoshop illegally because if they ever get big they'll likely request or buy more copies of photoshop ^.^ In other words they are using the piracy to benefit themselves.
  16. After watching his reviews of a few other games I have to say that I don't like the guy and it seems like he didn't give the game as good a review as he should have considering his other reviews. As in he made the game look as bas as he could rather than look at each piece as he had with other games... so meh.

    >.>

I think I got the title...

    Sacrosanct

It sets up a question of, "what do you hold sacred" as in, what is right? What is wrong? and To what lengths will you go to accomplish something? Is messing with time ok? what about life?

I likes it. How bout you guys?
  18. The running AI was modified a bit some time ago if I recall correctly...

Personally, I don't find anything wrong with the running itself as sometimes you forget yourself and run right into another group ^.^, but the side problems with it... Like I know the guy will be back so I can just wait...why don't they despawn or something? What about mission goals protected by MOBs... that drives me nuts when they run in those missions...

As far as the NPC chars not fighting back... from a mechanics point of view i get it, but it does look silly when a person is fighting another and then you run in and they just cheer you on... The mob should just not take damage till you get there in those situations and when you're going to save them they should look tied up or knocked out and you should have to click them.

Not even just sympathetic. Juries are notorious for sticking it to the person they see as the richer of 2 people. Because hey, they gots the money.
  20. Batman has only used an actual gun sparingly. The "time" when he has used a gun has all been removed from canon. Only 1 point that I have come across has Batman picking up a gun and was used in a non-lethal way and is about the only point Batman uses a gun in modern age.

There is a funny thing that happens in Catwoman Year 2. Joker, Penguin, and Two-face try to say that the involvement of Batman is grounds for them to get some sort of mistrial to which the judge says, even without the batman's interference they'd still be where they are, and as far as If the batman is real they may take it up in civil court so it seems in DCU that assault and battery and maybe vigilantism is a civil issue rather than a criminal issue.

    Modern Lore...

During year 1 Batman is seen as a criminal.

During year 2 Batman is seen as a good thing and by the end of year 2 Gordon makes Commissioner largely due to his connection with Batman and Batman giving most of cred to Gordon for most captures...

During KnightSaga, Armand Krol supports Azrael Batman as Gordon doesn't support Batman. This causes Essen, his wife, to be put in charge. However, when Krol loses the re-election to Grange Essen is made the mayoral liaison and Gordon is remade into Commissioner...

Sometime after this point, around War Games, apparently Grange, Essen, Gordon, Bullock, and Montoya are ousted and Batman is seen as a criminal and hunted.

And then Gordon is remade Commissioner and Batman is fine again... but disappears for a while during Bruce Wayne's Murderer arc...

As far as Organizations that know Batmans' identity...

Amanda Waller... which is the top of the line pretty much/
    "The Agency"
    Gordon "knows"

I don't think any others know...

Tim figured it out only because of Dick Grayson's usage of the triple or quadruple flip thing both at the circus and as Robin, something only he could do.

Bane figured it out just by looking at him ^.^

Vicki Vale was going to be told but Bruce was interrupted and now she suspects.

Ra's Al Ghul know, dunno how.

One would have to think that the Vatican and the Order of St. Dumas both know, but as far as I have seen it's never been said.

There are a number of people who think they know, but are not 100%.

Bruce in one issue I don't recall where, but if i remember right it's relatively a newer on, said that he has backup identities for everyone... By everyone I have to assume he means...

Bruce, Cassandra, Barbara, Damian, Dick, Tim, Helena, Jason, Stephanie, Selina, and Alfred... and probably Wendy as soon as he gets back.

That comes with a 3-7 year sentence in prison.
Just recently come across the second cop I can remember him hitting... and it could be considered justifiable as the cop could arguably be considered out of his gourd. I think however that the statute of limitation would have been passed by now considering that that happened in year 2, the cop was fired, and it's now year 19 or 20.

Also Tim, Dick, Barbara, Damian, Wendy, Stephanie, Helena, Selina, and Alfred are likely not going to appear in court unless to defend Bruce and the "endangering of a minor" argument loses it's weight when you have Tim and Steph being solo and not going out because of Bruce, but rather being directed by him in how to be safe. It could be argued the same way that you take a kid to a gun range to teach them how to handle a gun is not endangering them, but rather showing them how to be safe in a dangerous activity.
