The game manual actually says, "Special thanks to Arcanaville" in it. And it should.

  3. I'm always amazed that this site is still around.
  4. The last time I participated it took more than an hour to set the teams up, and less than five minutes for us to completely fail it to the invincible boss.

  6. I'm not blaming anyone.

I don't have an ax to grind or any sort of grudge.

I don't even have a dog in this fight. Translation: I don't care whether or not you get this fixed. It has no bearing on me, my game, or my life. I don't care.

I was trying be helpful. And, by the way, the quote you've posted indicates both clearly and simply that you're not following directions. Which, by the way, is okay. You may have wondered how I learned all these things about the support system. It was through making my own mistakes, and having people help me.

But if that's too much trouble for you, and too difficult to read...*shrugs* I don't care. Good luck.

Now that was with a PuG, so there is a huge unknown element of risk. The other day I was invited by some really good folks who I know in advance to the Reichsman TF. It took about an hour and I managed to get, not only enough shards to craft my common boost, but my first Master badge ever.

    It was awesome.

It's just that with a limited window of play, there are a lot more LGTF-esque experiences and a lot less Reichsman-esque experiences. I don't get to pick and choose if I want to get some shards/components. In retrospect, after the second hour of the "Speed LGTF," I should have just quit and gotten some sleep.

    Ah, then I apologize!

I can definitely sympathize with having to make difficult decisions regarding money. Most of the suggestions you made relate to money, but they'll have a pretty blanket negative effect on the game. It might make it easier for everyone to play if it was free, but the game would probably go down the toilet in terms of the quality of experience. And then it wouldn't be fun for anyone. Also, playing the game in an offline mode would require some pretty drastic changes to the game itself. Not only would it fundamentally change how the game worked, it would introduce completely new and unique forms of cheating, since characters would now be hosted locally.

As for more costume items, I am all over that and fully support that suggestion.

The new TFs are fast - hourish - and drop during, and reward shards and merits both at the end. A kill for shards ITF or LGTF are both still relatively fast. I've also had then drop pretty consistently on my tougher characters running at x6, x7, x8 solo.

Without feeling like I'm grinding, I've got 7 50s unlocked, 4-5 50s slotted, and two to uncommon.
I was asked to join a LGTF last night. It took nearly three hours and had 78 defeats.
  10. What happened to the 1.5 hour build up?

Not sure why the words don't go together. Getting shards is proving relatively easy.
    O RLY?

Then why don't you pass on your secrets to those of us who can only play a few minutes a night, and must eschew most TFs.

-When did you send the e-mail messages that you're reporting?
The Wednesday morning they did the rollback

-Were these e-mails that were already being stored at the time of the server maintenance or were they sent the same morning?

They were sent that morning from character Onyx Thorne
-What characters were you last online with just prior to the 11/18 server maintenance, and about what time?
    Onyx Thorne

The IO's were 5 level 21 Kinetic Combat and 10 million influence
...doesn't go there. It goes HERE:

The entire support ticket system follows a special format. if you don't follow the directions, they just get blank e-mails. It might be worth quoting myself:

DO NOT open a NEW TICKET, just respond to the old one--even if it is just, "So, how's the fix going?" or "Find anything yet?"

If a ticket HAS expired, you can often start it back up again by replying to the appropriate e-mail. When you DO reply (whether to update or to reopen a ticket), make sure you put all the appropriate information in between the two marked lines. Everything else is auto-generated and the GMs WON'T SEE IT if you put it anywhere else.

If you DO NOT want to use the e-mail support system, make sure your Knowledge Base/Support password is up to date (or generate one if necessary) and do all your reporting through the support website: http://help.ncsoft.com

    Good luck.

    trade merits

I can't remember if I was for this or against it. *scrolls back and rereads thread*

    Oh, right.

I think it's relatively unlikely that RMT folks would find merit trading as lucrative as just plain selling influence.

    Also, Leech is totally right.

I know that. That is a legitimate game mechanic. In fact, it's a well-known influence sink.

If the RMTs ultimate plan is to stay paid and subscribed to the game long enough to get free merits, and then consolidate said merits, and then play the game long enough to get enough inf. to convert said merits into a valuable recipe...then...who cares?
  19. See, this is the stuff that scares me. Because if I held on to random game paperwork trash for six years, even if it had an account number on it, the doctor would hang me by my toes.

  21. I think you should all take the time to thank me for asking for capes in this game.
  22. With all due respect, if you can't actually prove that it's your wife's account...can you see the other side of the situation?

What if I called NCSoft and asked for your account?

Yes, that's what I'm saying--there isn't anything preventing RMT people from doing this now, other than sheer lack of solvency.

    Quote:
RMT sites are interested in anything they can get their hands on and they will try to exploit everything. Assuming they won't is foolish.
I'm not assuming they won't: they've already demonstrated that (at least as of today) it's not a worthwhile moneymaking scheme for them. Where, sadly, selling inf. apparently still is.
