As for the reason for the SG yes I'm aware. That really wasnt a factor in what I was saying, lol.

Really just do it for the fun of it. It wouldn't monetarily hurt me too badly as I'm pretty well set for all the toons I enjoy playing and cycle regularly. And honestly with the markets I work its not like I cant roll up stupidly big bank rolls again in a very short time.
If you think we actually are going to take an interest in this, short of "Hey look at that guy, good luck," you don't know us very well.

It's your post history. I have no ill feelings towards you at all. Seriously. There are just old threads that are largely resolved suddenly in all the places that I normally read, and all of them have been necro'd by you.

What I don't see is a single thread, headed by "Connection Issues" where you post the results of a PingPlotter Trace, the most recent e-mail you got from Customer Support, and the most recent PM you've gotten from Avatea/Ocho/or any other mod.

In short: you make a lot of posts, but I don't see you putting any work into resolving this problem.

And I say this not as some manner of an apparently perceived forum cartel, but as someone who has also had painful connection issues that prevented me from playing the game. But I worked it out, instead of just griping about it. Seriously, some of the problems I have had playing this game just curl my toes--but I got through it by working with the Paragon Studios/NCSoft staff and other players.

So, what's it going to be?

I don't know. Do you think making a mess of a private message board is an acceptable alternative to working with Customer Support and fellow players to solve your problem?

Oh, e-peens? Good for you, x10.

I'm amused by the part where the connection issues on his end equate to a mass conspiracy to prevent people from playing the game...but me playing the game for six years equates to loser fanboy status.

Instead of working to resolve this issue with other players and Customer Support, make a mess on the forums and ragequit. Good show.
  5. Someone sent you an e-mail? Was it Moderator 8?

So we are top 5 of all time but not even close to #1
    Haha, wow. Thanks, CC!

Still, #4 of all time isn't too shabby. It's good to have a goal.

So do we know if 999 is the game cap?
  7. We have a number of tasks in front of us. I can think of three for now.

Firstly, I'm interested in the sig banner that was mentioned last night. After all, a #1 SG needs to show some modest pride.

Secondly, we need to calculate the #1 SGs across all the other servers to see where we currently rank, and our distance to all-time #1.

Finally, I think our current standing would merit a reexamination of the theorized prestige cap. I have an exploratory PM or two into some red names. Could be interesting.

    Peace,

    Lucre the First

EDIT: This was Fulmens SG survey in September when we kicked off:
    Quote:
A quick survey of what it would take, by server:
Pinnacle: Around 350M prestige, 175B inf
    Protector: 178M/89B inf
    Infinity: 254M/127B inf
    Liberty: 226M/113B
    Victory: 360M/180B
    Champion: 452M/226B [!]
    Triumph: 183M/91B
    Justice: 376M/169B
    [ Guardian: 176M/88B ]
    Virtue: 353M/177B
    Freedom: 580M/290B
It needs updated, but just going by this (and unless there are multiple 500 spots on Freedom), we are the #2 SG in the history of City of Heroes.*

    Rock.

*As based on the useless benchmark of prestige-earning.

For god's sake, we get the point. I hope you get a tattoo with the mod-stick.

I can't leave my computer on for 50 hours so all month I've been redoing it. I finally canceled my subs yesterday in protest.
In protest of your connection issues?
  14. There's been a definite movement away from long walks on the beach with red names. However, that doesn't mean that being treated like the average paying MMO customer equates to any amount of doom.

I think this is the new status quo for red name posts, and that we should get used to it.
  15. I've heard about this happening, but I've never seen it before myself. Just awesome.

Makes me want to make a dummy trial account so I can pine after Pedro with big sad weepy doe eyes.

Holy carp, am I glad you joined us! And to think, I almost missed inviting you because I was so busy molesting the SG registrar.

They are, they're completely different. The current in-game Alpha graphic shows four terminal points, two rare, and two ultra rare. The website indicates that there are only two ultra rare terminal points and that various and sundry predecessors are consumed in their creation.

Since that, alone, would indicate that the recipe descriptions as inferred from the website are wrong (to an unknown extent)--it would still be best to hoard shards and components and not craft anything beyond what you are currently able to.

Of course, everyone plays the game their own way. I know several people who have crafted many, many, many different uncommon boosts for their characters. They play the game a lot, and that's how they have fun. I'll be waiting with my meager stack for I20.

What makes you think that? There is some pretty obvious evidence to the contrary floating around.

That said, until it is Live and in-game--I wouldn't worry about recipes for anything outside of what is currently available.

    Uh...yeah. The intern did it.
