Anyways, the local paper had a half-page spread on the death of Johnny Storm. Same day as the comic came out. I get that it was a slow news day...but a half-page spread on the death of Johnny Storm? He even got a headline. -

did you use the cohupdater to load the game or did you bypass the updater and use cityofheroes.exe to load the game? If you bypass the updater you won't get a pre-download when logging out of the game.

I've fully logged in and out twice (ran up and down the streets for good measure), and no pre-patch. I double-checked my City folder, and there is no MajorPatch file sitting in it, either.
Anyone else? -
The Flash was dead for 23 years. I think that's pretty good for a comic.

Personally, I think it's a bad idea. It was originally pitched on test on January 4th, there have been three weeks for feedback on this issue. -

I just thought of an idea that could be held once a year. I was thinking for the anniversary celebration but it could be for any other event and still work. When you log in any toon within the month of the anniversary you get a mystery gift temp power. When you open it it gives you one randomly selected badge that the toon doesn't already have. Unopened gifts would expire at a pre-determined date. It could even include badges that would otherwise be impossible to get like previous year's anniversary badges. The likelihood of receiving one of the really rare badges would be low because the badge that would be awarded would be completely at random based on the remaining badges that toon doesn't already possess. Obviously, for hardcore badgers that have 1100+ badges the odds get better.
Edit: Accolades would be excluded. You could get one of the badges that are part of the accolade but not the accolade itself because multiple badges are required to receive the accolade itself. -
