Quote:No idea, and I'm not convinced that someone could just run a bunch of TFs and "discover" it. If I didn't have a full-time job, work part-time, and have a family of five, I might have to actually worry. So I'm stuck at work and just have this thread to go on.
I'm assuming there was no obvious announcement of what the WTF is?
Is this thing supposed to be a mystery every week perhaps... -
Okay folks, place your bets when (if) the next monthly producer's letter will drop.
-
I've long been set on the WTF.
As for which one, money is on a cooperative or analogous TF.
So, either Reichsmann, STF/LRTF, LGTF, Apex, TM, ITF, etc.
Given how new the content is, I'm almost expecting (but will certainly be disappointed if it is) Apex or TM. -
Quote:NH represent!I went to the movies this afternoon and it was 12 here in NH. They're calling for 18-24 inches tomorrow. Even with all the sunshine we've had this past week, I think we still have a good 2 to 2.5 feet of snow on the ground, so that should be interesting.
Edit: here's what the snow looks like now. We'll see how much it's changed by Thursday. That's a regular table, so that's about 3 feet tall. -
Now we have to wait and see what the Weekly Strike Target is...

Quote:I know. I been here all along, though I did give it a run after getting a lengthy free trial for a birthday gift once.Let me blow your mind: this game is older than World of Warcraft.
Quote:So no one else thought that Dumple was just, you know, joking?
Oh! OKAY!
No worries, mine was accidentally removed during a surgical procedure years ago.
No, the context of that earlier statement was that, even though City pre-dated WoW, it was going to developmentally trend towards WoW because that's what everyone held as the ideal for MMOs.
To be sure, there are "staples" of MMOs, but City has always done a good job (IMO) of turning the trope on its head and doing it in its own unique way. I have a...pessimistic view of the new raids, but we shall see. -
I got my first solo shard drop the other night!

Quote:Well, it's entirely on Test, and they just announced that they were pushing a Test build to Live. So...Excuse my ignorance, but what from that post indicates that it is 19.5?
Quote:There was also a large(ish) (100+ meg) pre-download last week.
Still, so long as you use the updater to load the client, everything should patch up fine. -
Quote:wut?i got nothing done because nobody was teaming... i dont play toons that are solo oriented really
Quote:Got a Demons/Pain mastermind from 1 to 28 and goofed off with friends , in prior x2 exp weekends id gone a bit crazy but this year it was very serene and laid back .
I have all the 50's I really want or need and im having alot of fun doing things with them now then in rushing a new little monster to 50 .
I still love the game though and do not mistake my lack of xp gaining as me losing intrest if anything the new content constantly has my intrest -

Hope you're still around in twenty or thirty years when I can go to one of these.

Quote:The extinct volcano in the center, courtesy of Talos, doesn't help things. It's also impossible to geographically place as, if I recall correctly, no part of Rhode Island has the sort of bay area that we are shown in maps of the city. But you know, it's close enough.
It's Providence, Rhode Island, even though the square mileage of Paragon City probably exceeds the square mileage of the actual state of Rhode Island.
I appreciate that people want to debate this, but it's canon. I'm sure we could get a good update to the Canon Fodder thread from Manticore if we got a good list of questions drummed up, though. -
I had good inf. running on the 8th, but that's the funny thing about being wrong and it hitting tomorrow...I still win.
-
Quote:Unbelievable. Yep, it hits tomorrow. Wow.Notice of a downtime for a Live publish tomorrow (2/1/11) has been posted....
So, what else could it be? So... Maybe....

It's an alternate universe Providence, Rhode Island. In this dimension/universe, Providence was able to successfully economically transition from the whaling industry into other and more profitable venues, becoming (effectively) the New York City of Primal Earth.

Quote:Then by that logic we're guaranteed a February 8th publish date:Would it really go live during the Spring Fling? In the past they have avoided publishing a "major" update during an event. Of course I guess this is a fairly small update.
Quote:The Spring Fling starts Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 9:00 AM PST (12:00 AM EST / 5:00 PM GMT / 6:00 PM CET), and will run for three weeks, ending Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 11:59 PM PST (2:59 AM EST / 7:59 GMT / 8:59 CET). -

Erie, PA here, Great Lakes snowbelt. Our average snowfall is just under eight feet. Which isn't much, all things considered. But holy cow, I am tired of double digit negative windchill. My dog won't go outside either, Ironik. -
