Quote:It's not your AT, or your build, it's what you find enjoyable and fun.I spent forever leveling my Defeder to 50...and now shes there. I'm sad.
She cant hit anything. She's emp Psi, and altough she was never my main she has become my main due to her usefullness.
I subbed for 6 months becausel I Lke the gaame.
I just cant find anything to make me stick with one thing.
I have a stalker, a Dom, a Widow, a Warshade, a controller who is scappy, and, and my defender.
Part of my probem, stems fom being new, the other aspect is that Im used to playing classical healers (My own fault),,it just seems that the other folks are having a blast and Im just hanging out (But with cool boots)
I hate to ask someone what I should play as my main....But I know that the widow fits me completely. Seriously...I love her...Alot.
Right now, being frustrated, I will take any word of advice.
For the record, my main is an Empathy Defender. He'll be seven in April, and I've played him nonstop the entire time. -

Quote:I'll wager that "a large majority of the playerbase" doesn't realize that the current and existing City of Heroes launcher has a message box that scrolls down, and often contains several messages. The other day there were three or four of them in there.Hah, awesome. I still do not understand the decision that was made to put the information in there rather than the actual CoH launcher. I think I'm correct in assuming that a large majority of the playerbase has never heard of the NCSoft launcher. I personally had not until it was mentioned in the first dev monthly newsletter.
Taking a look in the CoH launcher, they have info at the bottom of the pane about the strike pack and links to the site and forums. Couldn't they simply add one more sentence to the effect of "To learn which task/strike force(s) are the weekly strike target, click this link to view the updated announcement."? -
Quote:The last time I attempted to use the NCSoft Launcher (lol), all it ever did was launch the regular City of Heroes launcher.Note that the NCSoft Launcher is not the normal game launcher you use for City of Heroes. Unless you have other NCSoft games that use the launcher, you would never see this information. The only way a normal player would currently see this information is if they found the Announcement thread.
I don't need a launcher for a launcher. -
Quote:They were yanking your chain man, I'm sorry too.Ok we are good then, I apologize and I also thank you for your info.
The LRSF and STF are two of the most challenging TFs in the game, partly because of their overpowered and over-leveled overabundance of AVs. Mind you, the Reichsmann is also no pushover and has several unique HP gimmicks including "totally invincible, run you pathetic noobs."
Since Sister Psyche's TF caps at 25, presumably the AV at the end of that (Clamor) will similarly be level 25 or higher...but more like 27 or 28, just because. She won't be 54. -
Quote:Just a heads up
Rommie and his pet farts will be +4 no matter the original settings.
*currently stocking up on backup radios, Shivan shards, and anything else I can get my hands on.*Quote:So Reichsman will be at +4, and anything associated with him on that mission as well.
Be prepared.
Protip: I don't call people liars, unless they're lying. Whoever told you everything was going to be +4 sucks. That person is your liar, not you. -
Does it amuse you, making believe your lies?
EDIT: In the interest of peacemaking...are you telling me that they spawned at level 58 for you? I don't believe that. Are you telling me that they spawned at level 54? They do that: that's how the TF works. If you are in error I can understand your confusion...but you're not helping things. -
Quote:Wait. It sounds to me like that's exactly what he did, in that order.
What he left out of his original post was that he had also run the same TF this week prior to taking those three steps. I don't think he was deliberately hiding anything, I just don't think it occured to him that anything he did prior to unlocking his alpha should have affected his qualifications for the NoTW after unlocking it. Were I in his situation, I don't know if it would have occurred to me, either.
Firstly, no one is accusing him of hiding anything. What I'm saying is that he overlooked a ridiculously crucial step: he already earned the WTF rewards.
If you don't see a difference between:
Earning WTF rewards, then unlocking Incarnate abilities...vs. unlocking Incarnate abilities, then earning WTF rewards...then there isn't really any point in discussing this anymore. -
Holy crap, you guys are serious? Everyone in the Knights is quitting at the same time?
-
Quote:They said they unlocked their alpha, slotted it, and ran the TF. In that order.and to DumpleBerry, you were not the only one to read the OP as you did. People need to be a bit mroe accurate when asking for help.
Crazy me, I thought they did those things in that order. -

Quote:Ok I was told b/c I did the STF before I unlocked my alpha, I am not able to get the NOTW now. So even though I unlocked my alpha power and ran the STF again multiple times after that, its too late... that doesn't really seem fair... its not like I wanted any other bonuses other than that... good times!!!Quote:Yeah I guess its my own fault for not understanding the "rules." They were not going to reward me with the NOTW... They referred me to the forums to post my feedback about the situation so the developers would see it... the best part was that I did the STF not even knowing about the incarnate stuff til later... I happen to be in IP going to the tailor and someone invited me to join... If I would have known, I would have unlocked the alpha first...
Regardless, you would have still gotten double rewards for the WTF. -
It's like playing Russian Roulette with a book. Only the book has more than one bullet in it.
-
ONLY SINCE LAST AUGUST. HAHAHAHAHA!
...
Yeah, so anyways, sorry. -
-
No, you get all the WTF rewards in a lump, before the standard reward table pops. If you didn't get ANY, not the salvage, not the merits, and not the inf., then open your support ticket and see what they say. At this point, it's your only option. The game obviously thinks you've done it before.
Did this happen before or after the hotfix? -
Wonderful demo edits. As usual, I see no reason why players cannot have access to those costumes. Shiny.

Quote:The reward stuff pops BEFORE the reward table pops. So it would seem like you'd have to at least save the last mission (Honoree) for the right week.My question is if my SG starts the LGTF on the 8th then finishes it on the 15th when it is the strike target... will we get the extra award?
The way we play to kill-all/most and only having 1.5 hours/week, I expect it will take us 2 weeks to finish the LGTF... which would be perfect if it is the week you end and not the week you do the whole thing.
Guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks. hmmm... I wonder if I could ask a GM in-game, I may try. -
Did you get the bonus merits the first time?
Open a support ticket, but keep us updated. -
Haha, I didn't know that. Yes...will have to give this a try also.
-
I've always operated on the concept that if I can't get on a team earning the badge within one week of the content going Live, there is probably a 75% chance that I'll never get the badge.
-
Quote:You...would seriously pay $50 a pop for these things? And tiered? Like...hundreds of dollars? Jeebus. Why not offer us a real Anniversary present this year? Allow players an opportunity to buy back missed months of activation time. I'd pay you full price for all my missed time just to get the vet badges and my missed Loyalty badge and do so without getting any added real play time. I mean, seriously, I can't be the only player willing to do this...
Word. -
