  1. epic xeaon thread is epic

Aside from making sure that Zombie Fryer has all his shots and is properly groomed...I would probably just have a crazy-*** huge party and give it away in insane ways.

That...is really well done. If you can keep up a relatively constant pace on the issues, you've got a reader here.
  3. I've been playing this game for too damn long.

(Ironically, I crashed and got an uncommon.)

I guarantee you they were here, working their *** off, and doing a fine job. Participation is still borked.
This is ri-gosh-dang-diculous. Thank you for posting.
  5. ...where is it?

Didn't anyone get Loyal Customer early? What are the mechanics of the /market-whatsit?
  6. Just going to point out that there is a vast difference between saying, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if there was a superhero radio station?" and all the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to pull off the actual thing. Without mentioning any names, while it is nice to recognize the founder of the Cape--it would be a gross oversight not to recognize the successive general managers and all the staff of the station that have kept it going.

Pretty much the only thing that remains of "the original" Cape Radio is the name. Anyone who enjoys the Cape, enjoys the efforts of those that followed the founders.

In fact, both the smallest groups and the largest groups have been able to earn the “Master of..” badges that we award for completing the Incarnate Trials as close to perfect as possible.
Is that why you're changing the badge requirements again?

    There isn't one, currently.

Also, messages like Nova Fist and Warwalkers, the new Fusionette, those messages I think should be recorded in your chats as well, but not sure if they are.
This information is in the 'Captions' channel. If you add that one, you can follow/log it.

Found the thread. I guess I was mislead (let myself be mislead/misunderstood) Durakken's post. Unless I missed something somewhere, none of those have happened with a sufficiently appreciable level of success or artifice. I don't disagree with the milestone concept, but a roach-powered robot is not the same as a human cyborg flying through space. Which, correct me if I'm wrong (again! *thumbs up*), was largely the point of this thread, yes? That we haven't done this yet because of the presence or absence of scientific morality?

I'm sorry, but I've never heard of any of these things happening in real life.
  11. Congratulations on your successful Master run! For a reward, you get either 10 Threads, or One Super Inspiration.

If it ends that, I'll support it.

    NCSoft Launcher

It was super-fast for everything, including I20...but yes, now it is back to slow as molasses style like the old updater.

    Is this correct?

To create the Alpha slot enhancement at any level you have to use Shards, or something that will break down into Shards, like Notice of the Well.

To create any Incarnate slot enhancement other than the Alpha slot, you have to use Threads or something that breaks down into Threads, like Astral Merits.

Shards can be combined into Threads, but Threads can't be broken down into Shards.

There are Common, Uncommon and Rare Incarnate components that are combined to make enhancements for the Alpha and other Incarnate slots, but there's a different set of components for the Alpha slot that are not used for the other Incarnate slots.

If anyone could confirm or correct this I would very much appreciate it! I have a character that has a bunch of Threads from a Incarnate Trial but still needs Shards to complete the Alpha slot. I was hoping I could use or convert Threads for that purpose, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it.
Somewhat. Any Incarnate stuff can unlock and drop usable items for the Alpha slot. The other four slots are trial specific, and the old school Alpha-specific stuff will not work on the new slots. As you noted, you can convert shards into threads for a small price, and thereby buy any of the new stuff you want. There is a fourth "very rare" tier of salvage and incarnate enhancers in addition to the three you named.

To specifically address your last question, yes, you can use threads and raid drops on your Alpha slot. If you haven't seen the recipes for this, click the one you want to work on and scroll all the way down.
  15. The Magi are going to be in for a surprise when a pantheon of gods descends for the next raid.

"Query: Weren't these guys: simple mortals: last time?"

Because they're dumb. To expand: they don't actually know how to do it. The Trial makes a significant assumption that you know how to go into your powers "menu" and pull out temp powers to drop into a tray or onto someone else. And that is too much for a lot of people. Sad, but true.

Half the Lambda raids I have been on have had this happen. We get 10 for 10 on the Acid Grenades, and only seven get used.
  17. I used the LFG queue the other day. It started a Lambda in about 90 seconds. Unfortunately, the people on it that I was paired with were...not people you want to team with. So I also quit it in about 90 seconds.
  18. I got that awful 10 threads table again last night. Still feels like 25-33% of the time.
  19. Heya, Matt! Congrats on the BT run.

I've found that the Synchronization badge just kind of happens if you do enough trials. But yeah, for the other three it is just all or nothing. Finally got to +2 and with a few more raids I should be at +3. Then I should be more attractive to MoLam runs.
  20. It was a real downer, considering that XM had led two PuG BAFs prior to it, with back to back zero prisoner escapes. So many people had been impressed with the first run, that he immediately ran it again as a MoBAF and we were successful. It was an awesome night, and when I jumped ship to join Beos League I felt like we couldn't lose.

We didn't just lose, we were sabotaged by one of our own.

  22. This never gets old, and I am still thirsty.
  23. I was on Beo's MoLambda attempt last night. It took forever for us to get off the ground, and the moment we got to Marauder some Benedict Arnold started tossing Pacification Grenades. Pretty much everyone was upset, excepting whoever was silently lol-ing behind their monitor. :/

Let's get are terms set first: Griefing is not just being stupid or scrapperlocked. It's when someone purposely tries to ruin whatever you're doing.

Now, how many times has that happened to you on an instanced event?
It's not an urban myth. It happened last night. We spent an hour culling +2 and +3 badgers from a variety of channels so we could have a chance at a MoLambda. Then we spent about fifteen or twenty minutes strategizing and arranging teams while we went over the GET ALL POWERS, DON'T USE ANY part. The raid went smoothly, and the instant we got to Marauder he was pacified by someone yukking grenades.

There is no possible way to accidentally throw a grenade out of scrapperlock. Maybe stupidity, but I doubt it given the circumstances.
