I see this going the way of the glowies on the Reactor Trial.

I spent a lot of my grade school and high school years volunteering with disabled kids and adults. You may have found my word choice culturally offensive. It was. It was meant to be, as I find posts of that sentiment (which I was quoting) on these boards offensive. In my personal experience, however, the alternative word you substituted is more contextually offensive to me. I am editing my post to reflect that I did not say the word that you have placed in my mouth.
At the very least, you could have stamped that you had edited my post. -

You know only people that use Facebook can do this, right?

What I'm saying is that people are having a hard time understanding the Premium Player presentation. It goes without saying that this, largely, doesn't apply to any of us on the boards because we're all, currently, VIP Players. If you would like to debate the intelligence of people who are confused by Freedom, you are welcome to do so--just read this thread.

You are talking about people who have bought and paid for City of Heroes, City of Villains, Going Rogue, and various perks. You're saying that they they're fools for expecting what they paid for to still be there after the game goes F2P. They understand that there will be limitations to a Premium subscription--but not getting to play a Controller in seven years was not on the original CoH box.
They're confused and concerned, and asking questions. The very least we can do is be respectful of their questions. You're bringing the community down, man. -
Find some characters that are more fun to play than your other characters.

Quote:Then you need to get out more often. Since the day Freedom was announced, I've been trying to interpret the inherent legalese for potential Premium players who don't understand it.I really can't fathom the fact that there are people who still don't understand how this is going to work.
And you know what? After a few days, and a lot of redname posts, I'm still getting the answers wrong. There are a lot of people who are upset that they are losing access to characters and ATs that they have already paid for. They see no reason to resubscribe if it means they have to pay to unlock this content a second time.
I'm not debating with you, or with anyone--I'm simply telling you what is happening on other forums I frequent. As Zombie said, "What you've paid for you always keep," sounds great--and it isn't what is going to happen.
For anyone who chooses to argue--remember, I'm a VIP subscriber...you need to argue with the Premium content people who don't have access to these boards and who are concerned with the Premium content. Not me. -

Zwill, asking on behalf of potential Premium players that no longer have access to the boards: Everything you've said above remains true, excepting if someone wishes to unlock a MM or Controller, yes? In that regard, what happens? They unlock it, but it remains unplayable? Or will the game not allow a Premium player to unlock a historic character that happens to now be a VIP AT.
Thanks. -
Might as well put it here with today's new stuff:
Now, to track down the larger source image... -

The railroad crossbucks are AWESOME.
The lack of free-player mounts is a SLAP IN THE FAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!! -

Quote:Derp--sorry mate, wrong park. I was thinking Gemini, not Perez. I may have gone to one or two of your Perez get-togethers...don't remember. :/You talking about those massive meetings that myself, Captain Valor, and Ascendant ran at the Perez Park ampitheatre? Yeah dawg they were organised.
Quote:Thanks for being the only person to actually tell me. I'd never looked at the sliders on Xan until yesterday. Buffness was on the far right, while everything else was on the far left. He looked ridiculous. -
I don't recall race cards being standard Rookery fare.

Not according to what your compatriots are saying. I recognize that everyone is sorting through the dust from this big impact, but the sooner you get details finer than marketing press releases out, the faster you'll soothe some of the riling masses.

Quote:Nothing will beat the weirdness of them adding globals to the game.It was wierd how the word got out back then with no global channels.
"Wha? I don't understa-- OMG. You mean three of my favorite characters are ALL PLAYED BY THE SAME PERSON!?"
In any case, there was a system. Partially, I think global channels made it easier for folks to find each other and thus less likely to rely on Gemini Park for meeting up. Same with SG bases--just another tiny nail in the coffin.
Not necessarily bad, mind you--just changing how we operated. -

Here I thought this was a thread about moderation.
