We're not allowed to dislike something that didn't change at all? That we never liked?
That's the point of this thread. You unlock each slot with a Paragon Reward Token. -

So word on the street is that these aren't the only posters like this floating around. Anyone see any other ones?

Okay, checking in for a minute...
Quote:That's interesting. And since I think I have a good handle on how the system operates...hrm...Tier 9 VIP will feature rotating bonuses, new bonuses will come in and old ones will retire. So there WILL be future new content for the system. It's just that in this way the tree won't become infinitely huge and unwieldy.
Let's say that you max the tree out the day I21 goes Live. Next month...what happens? You just buy the consumables and hope for new stuff the following month?
Also, let's say someone qualifies for the Tier 9 VIP, and "purchases" all the rewards. Do they have to purchase all the new rewards, or once you've "bought" the last tier is everything automatic?
Quote:For those wondering "What tier will I be?", I made the following chart. Rednames please point out any errors.
Code:What Tier? Vet status Tier 1: 0 F2P Tier 2: 0 Premium - 7 Months VIP at launch date Tier 3: 8 - 16 Months VIP at launch date Tier 4: 15 - 21 Months VIP at launch date Tier 5: 22 - 33 Months VIP at launch date Tier 6: 34 - 50 Months VIP at launch date Tier 7: 51 - 67 Months VIP at launch date Tier 8: 68 - 83 Months VIP at launch date Tier 9: 84+ Months VIP at launch date
Quote:Um, you don't have to unlock Tier 9... I suspect that the new powersets will not be reward choices.
Quote:YES, this! This is the piece I've been waiting for, and there was no way I could be there for it, or even anywhere near my home computer. Thank you!
And it looks good. As a long time subscriber, it looks like I keep all the stuff I've already got, get more stuff right off the bat, and then keep getting more stuff in the future no slower than I have been in the past. That's what I expected, but it's nice to see some of the details. Actually, it looks better than I expected. I didn't think we'd be getting immediate bonus stuff, but that's what it looks like to me.
You are debating something that can see no errors. -
Quote:Ah, well that will be handy!Positron said that existing Vets will have what they got auto-filled in the program.
Also, while I appreciate the part about refilling my Tier 9 stuff...that's it: there is nothing beyond Tier 9. I'm going to have to start summoning Statesman at parties for the fun of it. -
Quote:I'm interpreting it to mean we have to unlock everything again. I don't really mind this, because I'll only have to do it once and I'll probably enjoy it.Just curious but do we keep all the rewards we've currently got unlocked OR under this new system do we have to go through and pick everything again...because that's just a pain in the backside if we have to do that.
Further question (that I realize may not be able to be answered), I have a shedload of free respecs accrued on my account. Can I not buy certain vet rewards and still advance to the next tier? The...ah...shrub...currently looks like you have to complete each tier in its entirety before advancing to the next. -
A thought occurs: there isn't anything beyond tier nine.
This is the "end" of the Veteran Rewards program?
Sure, they say "new items," but there aren't any further tiers to the table. -
Quote:But we do know the price. Isn't it something like $5=400 points? The only thing we don't know is the bulk rate discount. My parents aren't going to be happy with me if I spend too much. Wish we had a page that showed an approximate price.
EDIT: Yeah, here it is:
Quote:Q: We’ve been told that all VIP players will receive 400 Paragon Points per month as part of their subscription. What exactly does this mean?
- All VIP players will receive 400 Paragon Points per month as part of their VIP subscription. Currently, 400 Paragon Points is equal to $5.00 (USD).

Just...wow. I love...um...the part where... Yeah.
Okay, maybe I'm missing something horrible here, but I'm okay with all of this. And hey look, the Dual Inspirations from 2009 are here, too. Were they always a part of this? Has this been in progress since then? -
*******. God bless you for your transcription work.

If that's how you want to do it, sure. PM me an e-mail address.

Yay yay for for the iXP fix.

Quote:It's really sad that we have to keep saying that, but Leo is correct and anyone with an internet connection can see this. For those wondering, this is because the game will use a staged download system, which means you can start playing after downloading a single pigg file rather than having to wait for the whole bunch. All the existing pigg files are being reorganized into "stage1.pigg", "stage2.pigg", "stage3.pigg" and so on.
Again, no closed beta information here: the staged download system has been announced already, and anyone can see the new "stage" files in the client folder, whether they're in the beta or not. -
OMG I needed this thread so baaaaaad.

I am available to help you get your characters into your SG.
-
That's why I listed it as a last resort. At least that way you can keep earning inf. on the space you made for your character. Just don't forget that you've got a package waiting for you.
-
If the raid is failing, and you're out there dancing--you get kicked.
-
Storing it on mule characters is the safest thing to do. Bar that, your next best bet is the CH, followed by gleemail. These are my personal observations, your mileage may vary.

When the Ocho actually posted about the brilliancy of Smurphy's respec recipe speculation.
Also, a personal favorite of mine, the legendary "Lazy and Stupid: Why You're Poor" post. Prior to edits. -
I gotta go with what Fulmens said.
The market is kind of like the ocean. It's big, and it has all sorts of currents and eddies that can surprise anyone, even the hardiest sailor.
Many of us here have come to know its whims and moods, and can easily ride the waves to profit--but that doesn't mean we let our guard down.
Also, I think we need to recognize the efforts in other exciting projects, such as (but certainly not limited to) the various "How long does it take a brand new character to amass [x] inf. while only doing [y] activities," whoever ran that sweet investment portfolio, AND THE CRAZY 88S.
List some more great experiments and memories. -
