Most productive Ustream ever?

Now imagine that you have nothing to do with Aion at all, and you're getting e-mail about this.

Alright, I need a lawn chair and some popcorn. I love projects like this!

This is the same bug we've had for nearly a year now. Please keep everything in the relevant thread for simplicity's sake.
Also, we are planning a party for our big anniversary. -

Sorry. I know people think I play this game like a [redacted], but I still find the Incarnate powers fun and not at all overpowered. I find pretty much all the content in the game challenging.

Quote:Your correct on the second question. As for the first, I fully expect it to go Live in September. So you'll have around one full pay period under your belt. Rookie, plus your first token. If I were to purchase another copy of CoX today, and F2P were to go live in (guessing) October, how far along would my second account be in terms of veteran rewards / paragon points?
I never bothered getting a second account because I could never 'catch-up' to my current accounts 87 months, but now that is theoretically possible in something like 36 months I think? -
Quote:Agreed. Just for the sake of fun/convenience...I might go for the bonus costume slots and enhancement trays.I've mentioned that I wouldn't mind having to pay on an individual basis for costume slots per character. But frankly if I can drop a fixed chuck of money to have them all unlocked on my main account and be done with it I'm all for it. I know that I'll probably want costumes #6-10 on more characters down the line eventually.

The moment it starts, and the pedestrian shoves Statesman halfway down the street...I remembered it. What a great production.

I'm sure there's a list of people who are ALWAYS in early betas. I can name several people I'd want, right now. There's no point in singling them out, but I will say: Thank you.

Linked Alts- Basically multiple builds tied to a single character. That is, you'd be able to ammend whole characters to another as an alternate build but these alternate builds are not lvl/xp linked.
Basically, current alt builds are the same lvl for every character but you can't choose different primaries/secondaries. This would let you make a Energy/Psi blaster with alternate build as Emp/DP defender or some such. The difference being you still have to lvl each build as if they were another character.
Disadvantages: xp and levels are seperate. You'd *lose* an alternate build for a linked alt. You'd share costume slots. You could only swap linked alts once every few hours vs every 30 min like alt builds. Only 2 linked alts max(unless theres an option to *buy* more alt builds then you can pay to turn those extra alt builds into linked alts).
Advantages: You could be treated as your current lvl by contacts. So if one build is lvl 45 but the other is lvl 11, you can go back and do previous contacts you missed or out lvled. You could share badges. You'd share inf. You can have the exact same name. Since costumes are unlocked through badges, you can have all auras, capes and incarnate options for costumes at lvl 1 if one of the linked alts unlocked them. -
That's if they're planning to fix it at all. I imagine it's a pretty low priority fix, if a fix is intended at all. It's possible that, with 1200+ badges, they've just decided to remove the screen flash.

Most of this game's signature NPC's work, and work well. I'd still like to see more WISDOM in-game, and a shedload less Sister Psyche. I fully recognize that she's a sales point for Black Pebble's "marketing" team--but get that woman a shirt for god's sake. BLEAH. While she's at it, she could try not painting her face up like a lady of the night, and buy some pants.

ALL GLORY TO LOBSTER'S GUIDE TO CRABBBBBIIINNGGGG
Er, sorry.
In any case, pretty much nothing changes. You still will get everything you already do. You'll just get more stuff. If you were a new player, your account would earn all those vetspecs faster--but you're not. So you'll be in the same boat as the rest of us. Old characters with stacked vetspecs, and/or new ones that earn a stack as soon as they enter Galaxy's Last Stand. -
Quote:For reference, some of us who have posted in here have been RPing for a very, very long time. Even "very long" in the context of CoH. Maybe I'm just a big grump, and overly cynical--but I cut my roleplaying teeth on the ins and outs under Atlas, and then Galaxy City.Thank you, I appreciate that.
However I do not appreciate having your posts dangled in front of me when I clearly put too much faith in the social status of this game. It went poorly. People did exactly what you said they'd do. Thanks. I didn't realize that before, during, or after the event.
Sarcasm aside, I know I haven't been the most accepting gent in this thread. But seriously, something a little more constructive than "Look, I totally called it" would be nice.
Some nights, we'd have fifty or more people, of all sorts and stripes. I've seen a lot of good and bad roleplay. Frankly, I'm probably personally responsible for some not-so-bad and really-awful roleplay. Your thread is fine, and your intent is noble--but you can't hold a public event and expect to police out the folks that you disagree with. You might as well try roleplaying a bouncer in Pocket D.
So, take what you learned from your first event, and apply it to your second. Anyone of us who have ever run a public RP event has gone through the same trials you have.
Best wishes. -
Quote:Sorry. I hope your next one goes better.I just mean that a lot of this is subjective. Sure, there will be some trolls who deliberately grief, but a lot of what you've laid out comes down to personal preference and playstyle. Different people have different definitions of what does and does not constitute what you've identified.
