If there is something legitimately wrong, then the Support folk are the only people who can help you. I would first recommend the OP reviewing their PlayNC account page. If you can't read it/don't understand it/etc., screen shot it, blur/erase/whatever the sensitive info parts, and post it here--we can read it for you. In any case, you're the only one who can tell if you're actually hosed or not, and Support is the only department that can help. But, we can help if you're having trouble.

I see, Well I'm going to play it safe and compare the rates, I think I'd like to for 80 mil. Pushing 90 seems a little dangerous when it comes to sell.
[/ QUOTE ]
The CH has a "Last Five Sales" field that lists the last five sales, and the date and time they occurred. Check that out. And don't check it out once, if you want to make the most money. Check the "Last Five Sales" for both the recipes, as well as the enhancements, at the level you are offering the enhancement. Also, check the weekend vs. midweek as well. Things cost more (and you can make more) on weekends, generally.
Or, ask on your server boards or on your server global channels. If you can negotiate a sale one-on-one, you can completely circumvent the 10% market fee.
If you're on Virtue, I'm interested. -
If you've paid a whole year in advance, you should have a pretty extensive schedule listing the dates of all your new shinies over the next year.

Oh and my favourite poster was Pilcrow and that awesome avatar of his. It was of Dick Van [censored] dancing with the penguins from Mary Poppins but his head was replaced with Jesus. He had that avatar for like 2-3 years before it was mysteriously deemed inappropriate and they forced him to take it down.
[/ QUOTE ]
I also miss Pilcrow. And that avatar made me chuckle every time I saw it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I still have that avatar saved somewhere. Makes me laugh every time I look at it. Also, Pilcrow was "the first" to discuss the idea of diminishing returns re: enhancements, and his post was until very recently still available.
As for Taser, it didn't help that he called LH out on the boards and stated in big Hollywood letters more or less, "Listen Alex, this town ain't big enough for the two of us. It's either you or me." I had something like the second or third post after he said that, and I seem to recall (though I could be completely wrong, age is like that) saying something to the effect of, "Right on, Taze! Nice knowing you!"
I'm not defending him, it was expressly obvious what was going on, and what would be no longer tolerated. But as I said in a wayback discussion about Taze's bannination, "Okay, fine, he was a troll--but he was our troll."
As I posted earlier in this thread--I miss everyone who has gone. Some folks just post once or twice, "Why can't I have a cape?" or "Unnerf Smoke Grenade!" Some folks post more, a little strategy, a guide maybe. And some folks post a whole lot, and you remember them. Our little community's own dysfunctional family, brought together by a fictional game where we wear tights and do great deeds.
I try and keep my useful posts/total posts ratio above 50%, and I hope that if I someday disappear, that people think of me in a slightly positive fashion.
Ah, who am I kidding? -

If that file is corrupted, you can see strange results. Also, there are times where the global name does not save correctly, and somebody with a similar name and/or global will show with the wrong rating/info.
[/ QUOTE ]
D"oh, I have seen this, Mateo. Thanks for a little egg on my face! -
That is the obvious answer: either they share their account, or are fibbing. You would have to actually actually open the RATE PLAYER box, and SELECT five stars, or whatever, to do so.
My money is on "shared account." -
Excellent summary.
Also, Manti is going to have to have some stock responses ala, "Can't Touch That," "Ask Again Some Day," etc.
And lastly, level with me: Is Viridian really evil? Because half the time he comes off as a counter-counter-intelligence agent. What's with all the dealings with heroes of Paragon? -

WB: Governor _____ (vacant?), Marshall _____ (I know this one's in game, I'm just not remembering it this minute).
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless Im remembering wrong its Marshall Blitz.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's definitely Marshall Blitz, the nuclear nutcase. As for Governor of Rhode Island, didn't it used to be Joan Coppola? -
[ QUOTE ]
Well here's an obvious one:
Who's Patrick Duncan?
[/ QUOTE ]
C'mon, Ian, you're not even trying!
And, if I may be so bold without putting my foot in my mouth re: some earlier posts:

1) Is there a set costume for either of the two? Invisible Falcon never really appears, as far as I know, and Shining Light is only shown in a Paragon Protector outfit (again, as far as I know).
[/ QUOTE ]
Wouldn't it look almost identical (ala the other Praetorians) to Invisible Falcon's Praetorian-self, Ghost Falcon?
[ QUOTE ]
Where did the original recipe for Superadine come from?
Was Dr. Karl Egon involved with the development of Superadine?
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought the in-game arcs were rather implicit in suggesting heavy-handedly that it was Nemesis. After all, Nemesis supplies the family with it, who sells it to the Trolls. The Trolls spread it around, have visions of other dimensions and get Dr. Webb involved. Nemesis steals Dr. Webb's technology, prepares the Rikti pre-invasion, escapes into another dimension, and let's the Shard Expeditionary group colonize the Shadow Shard, which he eventually colonizes with his bases. Of course, Dr. Webb would be captured and tortured by the Reichsmann, so again--almost everything in-game is from either the Well of Furies or is a Nemesis Plot.

I'd like some backstory on Steven Sheridan.

Jeebus, yes. The man is the only surviving member of, more or less, BOTH the Omega and Alpha Teams. The "Gambit" was his idea. Why is he just a contact in Brickstown?
Er...right. So my next question was: Ghost Widow < Red Widow. Why? Why would Recluse do this? It makes no sense. -
Well, let see. They're the same picture...and...it's titled "Two Teams"...and...

Magpies are freaky like that. They also like shiny and interesting things, so keep an eye on your drops.

THIS ARC?
Was Posi doing end game stuff back in the day?
[/ QUOTE ]
That arc was written by none other than Jane Kalmes aka Grammar Girl. She often gets forgotten in the CoH writer discussions but she edited most all the original CoH text and wrote a huge number of CoH and CoV missions.
Posi was still doing some writing back then but he had already mostly moved toward system design and bigger picture stuff.
I'm still around working on the game btw, although I'm more focused on web and forum work these days. In fact look for a new thread soon where I will be working with Hero 1 and the gang to answer your lore questions.
[/ QUOTE ]
OMG, look at his other posts. -
*TEARS OF JOY!!*
Best threads ever, and best and most dramatic return to posting EVER, Manti. Much <3!!!!
So:
Is the Dream Doctor really dead? If yes, how did he die? If not, where is he? -
I'm leaning towards the "good move" idea. We don't know if it'll be retroactive at all, either. In any case, I'm thinking that as a badge community we need to pick our battles better.
-
We got this, and very little else. He might be around enough to get PMs. I'd bug WW about it. Not her purview, necessarily, but she's been here for forever and is really great responding to PMs.

I enjoy the dynamics of 1-4 as they intertwine.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definitely. How cheap can I buy my ingredients? How much can I get for my product? I'm a casual marketeer, as much as I consider myself a casual gamer (though it's been explained that the two are kind of exclusive), and my Useless Goal of inf.-capping one of my mains is pretty darn close. Now, well, I guess I'll start on another one.
If anything, a quick visit to the market takes ten minutes. Lately, getting a lot more enjoyment/minute out of that than running missions, and it's more in line with my availability. -

The super rich will continue to mock the poor for their lack of vision and inability to manipulate.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I mock them for their laziness and desire for the best rewards without putting in the effort to earn them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Amen. Also, how this applies to real life is beyond me. I can't go to Target; buy pants, a shirt, shoes, and a hat for $20; stand outside and say, "Outfit, $25;" and have someone say, "Man, I'm just lazy. How about $150?"
Because that would just be awesome. -
QR: I miss all the people that have left. And all their wonderful posts.

I got as far as the phrase "blurtle hash" and gave up.

Anyone else get it to work today at all? -_-

No. -
QR: Cool, thank you. Let's get some Patch Notes.

Curse me for thinking those screen shots are beautiful.
