What SwellGuy said. At this point for me, I'm just trying to save what I can and am eagerly looking forward to the new difficulty modes for other people, if you take my meaning.

    I have a simple question;

Are you trying to kill the game?

Prices from 250,000,000 to 400,000,000 on Purple sets, and certain Procs are absolutely outrageous.

    Respec Recipe 200,000,000?

Normal players of this game can not come close to affording these prices. Are you trying to force them to the Spam Sites?

Are you a source of Influence/Infamy for the Spam Sites?

    What gives?

I have several 50's and have enjoyed playing them, and IO'ing them.

I just created a new toon, and at your current Market Pricing, she'll never get IO'd out.

You think peeps will keep playing when they can't IO their toons?

    Whats up with this?
Let me be polite as possible: You have no idea what you are talking about, and obviously don't know how to play this game. Also, your list of such extravagant accusations (IE we run the game) might almost be taken as a compliment, excepting the fact that it spirals into mega-hyperbole (yes, we run all the RMT sites).

Read the guides, the stickies, and all of that. You can make billions without even trying. And you state that you've fully IO'd characters out before, referencing purples as you do so? I don't believe you. You're either lying then, or lying now. How could you fully IO out, with purples, "several 50s" and not be capable of doing it for the next one?

Show me my errors. Prove me wrong.

This is because there will be significantly more people willing to pay that price for them than there are items available. So for any player wanting to actually purchase one of these items they have the option of placing a capped bid on the market and waiting in line with large numbers of other users in the hope that someone will eventually list one or purchasing it off market (on the "black market" [no caps]). Purchasing on the black market will generally result in paying a higher price since it's harder to get competing bids.

Bingo. Right on the money, as it were. If the most expensive thing in the game can be bought in the CH for 100K, what's to stop me from buying all of them and selling them in a private channel or broadcast for 100M apiece? Installing an artificial price cap would only make things worse.

I know of at least two people who have double-digit billions on multiple toons (I'm not one, unfortunately).

Additionally, lowering the inf cap will accomplish nothing, just like setting price caps will accomplish nothing. People will simply start looking at off-market sources for their IOs and using multiple characters to fund the transactions. If you think prices and supply are bad now, hooooooooo boy would you be in for a shock if we had price caps.
Funny, I got negative rep for saying almost the same thing.

Speaking as an individual who is about to break 4B and get started on my 5thB (on ONE single character), the cap has no effect on prices--that is supply and demand. And as I've said before, lowering the cap is just going to move stuff to an actual black market.

What if there were no purple or pvp recipes. Follow me? And the inf. cap was lowered to 100,000. How would you out-compete everyone and their mother with 100K for that LotG or Numina? Think about it.

It's like saying, "Let's give everyone free money, then we'll all be rich." For about two seconds. Then economic reality hits. City of Heroes-style fake economics, but economics all the same.

Bwahahaaa... You don't really understand how purples/prices operate, do you? If the cap was lowered, purples would move to an almost entirely black market situation. With no communication, there would be little to no "clean" competition and the price of purples would soar much higher than they are currently. I personally think the cap should be raised, but I'm comfortable with where it is at right now.

Yo, Pez. Yeah, if Kurtz was announcing he was writing for the AE, that'd rock. LOLbat all the way.

Fleeting is right--Ozone doesn't do Jack for EE Pither. However, it IS possible to do all the timed missions, fail at least one, and get the badge. I've done it myself. Don't understand the mechanics, really, but try not to blow any other ones and see what happens. Good luck.

I'm really that young. I'm eighteen.
I refuse to believe that, considering how intelligent and well behaved you are, in light of the average riffraff in these parts. Don't be gone long. Please.
  17. I'll tell you the answer for 5M inf.
  18. Hello and welcome, all over again, Mr. Skeleton.
  19. I'm back in game, to an extent, and certainly have the money--just can't find me a person. If anyone feels like I'm getting special treatment, I'd be happy to cough up interest or whatever feels appropriate. Still looking for a Laeva.
