  1. Woot, gratz!

Question, does zero market bids mean this was the last week?

    Please use: http://paragonwiki.com
I had to swing by the crap wiki twice recently (bleah, I know) and both times it redirected to a website that tried to download stuff onto my computer. It's not only a piece of junk, full of spammers, ad. etc.--it's hazardous to your health.

    Hollaween Event

    Holla Ween, Power!

Yeah, Power is kind of a fixture around here. Oh, and I have you beat by a while, Power.
  4. Some Vet rewards are weak (Really? the US servers demanded Greek letters? Demanded?), but they are all awesome.

There was always the whole introduction thread, and all.
  6. If I recall correctly, Naylor's is earlier and Pither's is shorter. So take your pick. I don't recall if Scirocco's arc counts or not.
  7. As DarkGob said, besides "Papa spank," there are no answers to either of your questions beyond pure speculation at this point.

To be fair, I'll take BaBs' talent for responding to anything over the more standard, dev approach of running the forums incognito.
  10. Over the past several years, I've used a variety of mail services and clients, and I've always gotten them. Doesn't help those with the mysterious vanishing e-mails, though.

If by "wasted" you mean, "ruined for all the female characters in the game by transcending them in awesomeness" then yes, yes they certainly would be "wasted."

This^^^. If I'm smart about it, it only lags for a horrible period of time. I had to learn the hard way though--I used to hard crash out every time. And I have 2.5 GB of RAM, and the game running on "normal" effects.
  13. And damn, it would be nice for male waist capes, or a suitable equivalent.

  15. It's the last VEAT "arc" (a single mission *eyeroll*), the one where you have to fight Statesman. He has this monologue that's all about Dr. Brainstorm causing powerset proliferation. It's not even forced, it's just...bad.

Personally, I don't think the hype machine has started yet. Heck, we largely know the above more from Posi and Co. vs. advertising.

Not THAT one, use the Titan link or www.Paragonwiki.com

Twice this week I've seen the wikia crap page redirect to some trojan-esque auto-malware site. Plus, well...they suck.

And as cool as wall-walking is, given how many pleas have been made to make it a travel power have gotten nowhere, probably not gonna happen.

And Dumple just raised an important point: It's Always A Nemesis Plot.
And in this case, it's canon. Well, the part where the Sky Raiders are a Nemesis front, at least, is.
  19. I'll have none of this new-fangled "reading," you darn egg-heads. Always lording your superiority over us! Someone just come to my house and tell me!

    Heroes Battle

Is it City of Heroes related somehow?

    No?

    Well then, no.

Many of the Sky Raider Jump Bots have names, rank, authority and appear to communicate intelligently. Does the game lore point to a reason why? Two theories I have are:

    1. The jump bots contain some sort of technology allowing the imprint of memories of fallen Sky Raiders. Once the bot is, more or less, the original man in mind and deed, it is given his former rank and authority.

    2. The bots are controlled remotely by the actual officer, and therefore are designated by his name and rank.

Since the Sky Raiders are limited in numbers, both of these would prevent the loss of critical leadership and braintrust in the event of capture or worse. This doesn't seem to explain why Captain Castillo is (fairly) easily found, unless his massive ego rebuffs the idea of "hiding" behind a bot.

    Other explanation(s)?
Because they if they were any better they'd be steam powered. Did no one notice that the highest ranking officers in Sky Raiders are basically channeling some far off commander of mysterious origin?

    *cough*

They're dumbed-down Nemesis Fakes. All the intellect and oversight, hidden, with just enough modern technology to distract from the truth.
  22. Dear god, I would love to see you guys come up with something in here. Anything but the self-congratulatory "Defeat Statesy While He Advertises Powerset Proliferation."

This^^^ oh god this. I'm half-afraid that Going Rogue is going to involve a cutscene where States says something to the effect of "You'd all better switch to your alternate builds, get the best enhancements, and eat a bunch of inspirations--these Praetorians are going to be tough!"
  24. Ditto on the "I picked Crab solely for the backpack!"

Happily, I later discovered how awesome they are.
