Quote:Iron Warrior earned three times on three alts in Talos with a team of 8 in under 30 minutes.

I called in badge channels to specifically advise that we were looking to defeat Eochai repeatedly until Jack spawned. The team filled quickly and was nice enough to let me switch alts between each Jack.
We did not have to kill Eochai many times between each spawn - 3 before the first Jack, 1 before the second Jack. There may have been one between the second and third but I was switching alts, returned, and found my team was already on the third Jack.
There was one other team hunting him. It was around 1 am so not many folks were on. It is the Virtue server and normally we'd have far more teams hunting but not this evening. Though, the last few days have been very busy with 2-3 Peregrines, GV's, Atlas, etc.
I can only recommend assembling a team of 8, having them dedicated to scouting specific areas, and using a fair sized - open air zone such as Talos. IP is too big. Others have too many buildings to see well at a distance. Also, some badgers tell me that he doesn't spawn in Atlas or GC. Good luck to you.

PS. I have seen Eochai spawn next to a Banner. So, considering the time between the new Supernatural events, one could work on spawning Jack undisturbed easily.
Ara helped me get all the new 2009 badges last night. Thanks, Ara! -

Telling people that Annah or Beldam will explain everything about the event.
EDIT:Quote:Horsehockey.Be sure to visit Ravenwing Cabbals Annah in Croatoa or Granny Beldam in Nerva Archipelago to learn more about the 2009 Halloween Event activities. -
Ooh, I need to write a book so I can finally document that surfing shark attack I was involved in.
-
Thanks for the post, WW. Hopefully we have seen the last of the character rollbacks!
-
Remember, if your SG dies because all the RL people in it quit the game, and you move to an active SG, you are dead just dead to all those people IRL.
-
Sounds like you need a new super group. Oi.
In any case, if you're on Virtue, I'd be happy to help trade pretty much anything. I can even help, to some extent, with red/blue trading. -
If you are asking because you qualify for multiple items, I received multiple beta invites for CoH and CoV, depending on where I fell in the queue. Likely, they'll just invite accounts en masse when they reach each beta benchmark--regardless of who is actually in the beta already.
-
The badges are automatic, some time after the end date, if you qualify for them. The tiered beta process is just that--whenever beta is, you'll be invited before some folks, and after other folks.
-
Aya, hopefully that will also reduce the 'getting locked out of a character for 15 minutes' as well as the 'managing to log back in, only to find your character rolled back to 20 minutes earlier.'
-
*sigh* Ditto on being locked out of a character, ditto on rolling backwards on drops, XP, and badges. It's like I never logged in. Was in FF on Virtue.
-
Beta will be soon, that's for sure. And we won't all disappear, we'll just be on the double-secret closed boards.

Quote:God I hate those. Why do they have AV hp? And you can't just wait for your pets to defeat them and go make yourself a sandwich if you have pets. Mine always treat them as non-target-able.On the flip side of "The generators are too weak", you've got Black Scorpion's Nemesis Mole Miners mission. You have to destroy 4 of those damned things, and it will likely take you an hour, at least. Once you clear out the hundreds of Nemesis spawns, all you're left with is 4 towering Mole Miners. And you start hacking at them.
With my lvl 47 (at the time) Bots/FF MM, it took 22 effing minutes to destroy ONE of them. 22 minutes! These things don't attack, there aren't any ambushes, just put the bots on "Attack", pull up Firefox, and wait. Check back in every 5 minutes or so, then move on to the next one.
I couldn't even imagine doing this mission as a non-MM. You'd attack until you run out of endurance, then rest, then repeat, probably 2 dozen times.
The HP/resistance/regeneration/whatever on the Mole Machines is absolutely ridiculous.
Oh, and its an un-droppable mission. -

I'm going to chime in and confirm that, for me, "Get the News Out" is sort of an auto-fail mission. Much like Sam, I have ever-so-slightly edged down the bridge, I have raced down the bridge, I have flown straight up and scouted, etc.--and have 99% of the time just seen a big MISSION FAILED within 15 seconds of entering. Yes, it's easier to enter and fail than auto-complete.
Once, once, I accidentally and successfully completed it. I fell OFF the bridge, Silver Mantis was underneath with a generator, I defended that one (the one that started, aggro'd, underneath and behind me), and successfully completed the mission.
But in light of all the other times, I still felt like a chump. -
Bingo. I'm on both sides of this. On one hand, I make money from people who don't care about pricing, crafting, budgeting, etc. On the other, I use that money to buy stuff that I personally don't want to put the effort of pricing, crafting, budgeting, etc. into.

Quote:Well let me know if you need a storage character or something, or to collect some of my earnings. In any case, this has been just fascinating to watch. Laeva, I really enjoyed this experiment.No. Coincidentally I ran out of slots, so I couldn't place any bids
Week 11 will be the last week, and by that Monday I'll have cancelled all bids and liquidated all assets. -
Gratz! The sheer awesomeness of the sale fulfills the normal monocle etc. requirements.
