Quote:Dump,
I was gonna +1 you for that epic RP, but I'm at my 24-hour rep limit. Good show sir.
Thank you for your kind words, all, but I must protest. I am simply one part of a larger and more glorious whole. Each and every member of the human race shares in, contributes, and is rewarded by our collective creativity and generosity.
I must thank you all for giving me the opportunity to serve you as a Praetor of the Emperor.
And for those of you who disagree--join us. Join us and see the truth. Join us, and you too can see utopia, today. -
I was understanding, from this thread, that a USB connection would offer mind-numbingly slow transfer speeds?

The only real lore additions to the opening of the time capsule are the Reischsman S/TFs. Beyond that, the Devs are aware of the upcoming anniversary, but have remained quiet regarding it.

Awesome. More awesome, in my opinion, that they didn't just come out and tell people in his bio or something lame. They let us come to that discovery largely on our own. Nice!

Quote:GREAT website.Sorry I don't know if this has already been pointed out, haven't read the whole 8 pages of posts
... I've posted most part of the info related to GR from the Hero Con threads in a Spanish Community forum http://auraycapa.superforo.net/the-p...t1124.htm#6709
and I've been asked regarding Trades... will Rogues be able to trade with Heroes, and vice versa? and Vigilantes with Villains and vice versa?
So far we have heard Inspirations, yes; anything else, no. But things are too far away to be certain about. And yes, word right now is that Inspiration trading will extend to villains and heroes as well.
Further item trading is speculative, at best.
EDIT: And near-villains with villains, near-heroes with heroes. Sorry, didn't follow your post. -
Durrr...so now I'm back to figuring out which SATA PCI card to get, as well as making sure whatever external enclosure I grab accommodates the hard drive I get.

I was here for, "NOOOO! NOW EVERYONE IN GAME WILL HAVE A CAPE!!!!" It didn't last. Neither did any of the doom-crying over any other feature of the game. If vehicles come, I will laud the implementation of further character customization--but I'm not worried about permanent traffic congestion.

The suggestion that the fringe terrorist group known as "The Resistance" even numbers more than a dozen-odd maladjusted sociopaths is ludicrous. To suggest that they even have a remote chance of "winning" is a disappointing thought pattern. However, Emperor Cole has never turned a blind eye to his children, and neither do those loyal to him.
When we find these people, and we will find them very soon, we will treat them with the respect and proper medical and neurological care that they deserve.
For the Emperor. -
Just visit another continent, once, and you'll see how much this is true. Culture can be fabulously different, even in it's minutest "similarities." Go as far as, say, the Middle East, and you may understand why dressing and grooming the way they do, the way women, minorities, etc. are treated the way they are, and why daily car bombs are considered everyday life.
No one said it was right, or good...but it's certainly "normal" for them. -
Have fun, don't let people tell you what to do or how to play (As in, "This is the only way."), be nice to other players.

The suburbs aren't very exciting. Recall the airport indicated on all the print maps? Who's going to hang out there?

But not everyone in VU2009 still plays the game. It's worth refreshing periodically, because some people who have quit playing the game are taking up the "space" for those who would potentially like to join.
Granted, there is the chance that it's all the same people, and that we'll just fill up 2010...but it's unlikely. -
>_<
And therein, we return to my original concern. I want a large hard drive, not a paper weight. -

And the team leader didn't stop this? I would've called them on it, and if they persisted, kicked them. A happy cooperative team is better than one miserable Kin.

So if it is just a silly little game, then no one will have any problems if I tell our resident rear-ends-in-tophats what I really think of them? Awesome!

Statesy is too embedded in the current game. From his running and appearing in TFs, to the heroic rescue arc blue-side, to even the moronic final VEAT arc red-side--it just seems like too much work to change all of that to kill him off. Having said that, I support it.
No, it's something that we're overlooking, not expecting, or additive to the game world. When faced with "strange tremors on the moon," I'll be the first to admit that I assumed that it was indeed a Nazi moonbase. I still don't see a relationship between the moon and the second Rikti invasion. It's going to be the Shadow Shard--straight out of the game lore, but nothing we ever expected. -
Quote:Exactly my point, though I think I came to it via a backwards method. Which of Primal Earth's denizen's is the most destructive? The Rikti? Nemesis? Or Statesman himself? The man has baggage, and it has turned Primal Earth upside down. Its the age old concept isn't it.
People have craved 'strong leadership' who will 'do what is necessary' throughout history.
Dont forget 'Primal Earth' 'Statesman' is a war criminal who led an unjustified and illegal invasion of a sovereign nation just a few years ago. Since the 80's he has been invading and interfering in the internal affairs of other dimensions without cause.
Don't buy into his propoganda.

Give it time. HeroCon was for us. Why do you think marketing held Posi and Co.'s hand the whole time? When the market machine rolls up, you'll see the ads flying.
