Quote:Glad to know that advertising isn't expensive. I've had my eye on a superbowl spot for a while.Glad to see we have some advertising experts who play COH :O) Yes it can be expensive and then again maybe it isnt. I mean advertising is a tax write off, or at least a bit of it is. Anyway my point is they DO have the cash and they COULD advertise if they wished to do so. Cya.

Quote:I'm trying to wrap my head around this. From GS' remarks, I take it that teams were running it, and everyone on the team was getting the cape reward? While I certainly don't condone circumventing thematic gameplay rules, I hate to see content removed. It would be nice if it was turned into an unlockable flashback, similar to many of the villain-side flashbacks. In this case, you can't run it unless you're at least level 20.
Ouroboros: The Omega Team Time Capsule story arc (the updated cape mission) is no longer available as a Flashback arc. Characters that have already completed the original cape mission can still get the new version of the mission from the City Representative in Atlas Park. -
Quote:HAhahahahaa. Quality post.LOL...population???
There is no population on ANY of the servers compaired to how they use to be...
The game was killed in issue 5 and 6, its been on life support since, they turned that down to with this MA/AE stuff, which lost even more ppl (I know because both my sons stopped playing their accounts)
Only time will tell if the pops will ever come back, maybe they will start server merging soon? -
I would assume that the zone limit for the Abandoned Sewers has been lifted as well.
-
Well, they do--but "cable" in the Shard is a bunch of natterlings reenacting The Price is Right, the Dick Van **** Show, and You Can't Do That on Television.

Compare, also, to the Independence Bridge in Indy Port. It's just a basic suspension bridge, but has sustained colossal damage including Atlas' last stand, is littered in debris, and remains sturdy.
The Mashu bridge is built like a freaking fallout shelter. Are we supposed to stand under it if the city gets nuked? Does it transform into a giant robot? Does it contain the tombs of undead villains? Why is it built like a fortress? -
Quote:What Dispari said, and what certain people have been freaking hammering at since the beginning: Call this program what you will, loyalty or not; the requirements were "Pay on time for three months," and none of us had anything to do with those rules. No system is perfect. One of my friend has 60 months because they went on autopay ages ago and never bothered to turn it off. They don't know much about the game at all, but they qualify based on 60 months. I've also run into more than one person in-game who clearly bought/were handed their high-vet account. Vet badges are no more of a guarantee of a loyal longstanding customer than the loyalty program was.

I think they severely over-estimated how much people would "enjoy" being digested by a hortha vine. "Like riding a bus, but greener" was viewed as technically accurate, but deliberately misleading and extremely painful.

Honestly, what the blue blazes is the point of the Mashu Bridge?

Quote:As has been pointed out, this^^^. This is a GREAT reward at all levels of the game. If I could have hundreds of market slots, I would.Given that the devs refuse (rightly) to increase the ability to hold items, that award is like gold.
You just don't realize it.
If you don't see the value of it for your own personal use, that's just fine. But I certainly don't think it indicates the end of the Vet. Program. Heck, I eagerly await my next award. February 1 is just around the corner. -
According to the OP, they didn't quit; they just RP'd out of the context of the game, and without an active account.
-
So it's just you? I think I would put the Devout up for sale and join a SG that has everything I wanted.

Options-> Earn XP -> Disable
EDIT: There is an intermediate menu in there, between options and earn, but I can't recall which one since they rejiggered all the menus recently. -
Quote:I always wondered why it still said that, since we knew it was just brain lint from some weirdos--but now I know.I toyed with adding something like that but it's basically speculating about the speculation which is outside the scope of the wiki. I'd actually prefer the remove the paragraph entirely since it serves no real purpose except to start threads like this one but in general I prefer to avoid major changes to the content of historical pages.

Quote:*re-reads thread* That was me making that assumption? It doesn't look that way from over here.Way to only read part of my post, Dumpleberry. Even when my account was off, that didn't stop me from RPing with people over other programs. I never ONCE said I expected to do what I could pre-I4. Not once. That's an assumption YOU made.
Also, that sentence of yours appears to deliberately refer to six years of RP and playtime. If you didn't actually mean to write that, I think you can forgive my confusion.
Quote:But screw it. The mechanics make no damned sense to me anymore, and I just don't give enough of a damn to bother. I'll just go back to my PS3 until TOR is released. Been fun.
We'll help, if you'll let us. -
Actually, I'm sure the conspiracy theorists have their own explanation as to why the Fifth are throughout the game, now. Never expect rationality or actual data to be an efficient counter-measure to unfounded hysteria.

Geez, what a grump:
Quote:Dear humanity,
This is not goodbye.
Not only do you not deserve such a meritorious departing salutation, I will be coming back for you.
When I do, I will decide.
I will sift you like grains of sand on a beach, and winnow the chaff into the abyss of my uncaring. It is not personal, mind you--it is my purpose. I and I alone stand watch at the balance. On one scale, your puling mass of greedy, violent, destructive corruption. On the other, the last remnants of my once noble people--those you have not extirpated or oppressed.
But I tell you this--this Omega Gauntlet? It is worthy of what my people once were. There is such selflessness and sacrifice that I had not thought you capable of. There is hope for you, if you can manage by the Twilight Horizon. It comes sooner than you think.
I am bound now, as always, by the old ways and am not permitted to name myself. But when I return, you will know my face.
And my answer.
