Quote:SOURCE?Hero Con. But to actually see it ourselves, we'll need a time machine. D:
SOURCE?
SOURCE?
SOURCE?
Doesn't anyone listen to anyone anymore?
Let's see, I could look into this and put about one ounce of effort into it...nah, I'll just make up some elaborate cult-hoax concept, justify my actions, and place the blame on the Forum Cartel.
Seriously. Nemesis is dead, Bella is in the Resistance. What I'd really like to hear, is a hypothesis as to why we would all lie about this. -

Quote:Holy crap, really? Will it have my paisley unicorns in it, too?I say i17 will introduce the Cathedral of Pain and Raids back, since we were told they were coming back and it'd be unfair to exclude that from some of the player base.
-The QoL changes with GR will probably be there too.
-Maybe the new powersets.
Quote:Whoa, forgive me for not looking into this, but Going Rogue is a PAID expansion?!
On a less snarky note, I have to agree with Zombie--I think we will see I17 after GR. Feel free to pleasantly surprise me. -
That much, we don't know. As you said, the SMASHtasticness of the character may be a slight give-away.

I've had that page bookmarked for a while. I've been watching.

Quote:Both.I have never played villains because I would just rather be a hero.
I have always wanted to try a Brute because of the fury machanic but unfortunately it's only for villains.
My question is...do I have to wait for GR to come out before I can create a villain and then bring him blue side...or can I create and start playing the Brute right now and switch him when GR comes out? -
You said manual restart.
Is the computer downloading the entire game again, or is it just verifying all the files are okay after the crash? There is a difference.
If you frequently have this problem, you can always bypass the updater and run the game directly--but you are often better off verifying files against the main server, and you'll always have to check for new updates. -
Quote:And this was the post I was waiting for.Does it count if I have 3 badges at 4 hours or less to earn?

3 more months and I can earn all of the badges in one day... -

If they merged the markets, they could eliminate that discrepancy.
Grant you, blue-side will always have more inf. because more people play blue-side. But a merged market would equalize the inf. distribution, as well as the swag distribution. -
I still support removing the TF/SF team size requirements.

I was waiting for this thread to pop up. I think I have three or four left to go, but only one that is at less than half-way.
-
There are a number of us that would certainly like to use the "epic" costume pieces/option on more than one slot. It's been brought to the Dev's attention, but what they decide to do is anyone's guess.

There are a few rewards that it doesn't affect (I think [Assemble the Team] is one), but by and large those are the exception to the rule.

For other folks visiting this thread, I offer 1:1 on Virtue, though I just had a large transaction and don't have much infamy to spare. Hopefully that will clear up soon.

Quote:So...this is how I scored my purples? You know, I haven't seen my mom in a while.GET WRECKED by people who have no life and spend 24/7 in mommy's basement playing coh? Considering devs nerf something every issue you have to remake every 4-5 months.
Quote:in fact i do have them and have bunch of toons purpled/IOed out
No, no you've taken this thread straight to total entitlement rant. You state that you've purpled out multiple characters before, so you clearly know what you are doing. You just don't feel that this time around it merits any effort.
Oh, I know the OP isn't actually reading this thread. So...GO GO PUM! -
I think the indication is that they were undervalued to begin with.
Also, OP, I really haven't put that much effort into it, and I have two characters entirely purpled out and one with multiple billions banked. If you refuse to pay the BUY IT NAO price and underbid, you can easily cut the estimates you quote by a third, if not half. You'll find the market forums are full of helpful tips. -

Clip music, like clip art, has a tendency to crop up in multiple places.

I can't help you on Liberty, but if anyone else reading this thread needs help on Virtue, I can do that!

Quote:Mutually profitable? Yes, I agree.Again, you're misinterpreting my argument. I'm not asking for a code for free, nor am I arguing that, if I can't have one, nobody should. What I am arguing for is that I believe a system where all players have an equal or at least reasonably similar opportunities to receive the codes {or for that matter, any perk, especially purely cosmetic ones} is superior to one awarded to a handful of lucky ones. If it's a mutually profitable one, then so much the better, wouldn't you agree?
Equal or reasonably similar opportunity to receive the code? I also agree.
Except I think that's what we have right now. You don't even have to go to HeroCon, or any of the previous convention events where they gave various codes out. You can just watch a thread in here, or the CoH twitter feed, and try and score a free give-away. Niv has been giving away, I think, every single different kind of costume they've ever offered as a con exclusive. And when the codes are flowing, they do several a day. And they do UK as well as US. They're just giving them away. Heck, they even tell people when they're going to do it.
Frankly, I don't see how it can get any easier. Buying them in the store, which I again support, at least requires someone to pay. -

Quote:If you're saying that it takes different investments of time and money, for people in different locations to attend the con...then you're absolutely right. The issue here isn't that it's literally impossible to get the costume codes {albeit for many, it is}, but that it's inequitable. The necessary investment to receive, or even have a shot at the costume code varies massively between players based purely on circumstance and favors a very small percentage of players in {contextually} fortunate locations.
If you're saying that NCSoft shouldn't give them away at the con, then you are entitled to your own opinion. Similarly, if you want one for your account, you are equally entitled to your own opinion.
Getting costume codes isn't impossible. And the suggestion that it is for "many" is, I think, a gross exaggeration. The fact that NCSoft is just giving them away for free is a testament to that fact. Anyone can get one, if you put effort into it. This whole thread smells of an entitlement rant (I did NOT put that tag down there). I have yet to see any legitimate argument that giving free stuff away because the Dev's are nice is a problem.
For the record, I don't have one. I'm not interested in putting the effort into it.
