  1. Inspirations are coming. Currently "don't count on it" for the rest.
  2. Is this thing spelling dependent? It feels like I'm taking a timed-typing test.
  3. The Etoile Islands are a Technocracy.
  4. Account codes only apply to accounts. Accounts don't have anything to do with the platform you play them all, and the client has always been free, regardless of the platform/OS.

EDIT: Sorry, long day. The answer is "Yes." Just buy and apply, like normal.

You don't need a gamer to have a good mate. You only need to choose more wisely who your mate will be and treat her with respect and demand the same in return. If you aren't giving it, then she chose poorly. If you aren't getting it, you chose poorly.

Yes, that means when she says, "yo, nookie now!" you get off the gorram computer and tend to her needs. Log back on when done.
    This^^^!

Even when I lost my job, my wife insisted that CoX stay on our list of "can't live without it" expenses, next to natural gas and electricity. It was her idea. She comes first, the game second, and everyone is happy.
  6. What the hell is with the conversation going on in this thread? Is this the rock where folks who've never heard of GR hide?

It was the exact same usage and styling of a certain f-word that the OP used, that I used. Got me a stern slap. From there on out, I've just asterisk'd the entire thing.

    Unless I'm not wearing pants.

    Seriously, though, Eat_Me is right.
  10. I posted in your other thread.

In short, the day they take my nearly six year old main away from me is the day I quit the game.
  11. It's the people.

The friends you can make in game.

The people you can team with.

That I can PM Castle and say, "Hey, what about...?"

Or request a costume piece from Jay.

    Everyone on the forums.

    It's the people.

We were having a conversation about the possible downfalls to the Mission Architect system that players could exploit to powerlevel and miss the enjoyment and whole point of the game, and then the discussion turned to what happens to players when they get characters to level 50. We propose that in order to avoid, frankly, the "let-down" when you hit 50, that characters that have achieved level 50 get a certain amount of playtime and then move off to "retirement" or become "figureheads" or "paradigms" of some sort and are automatically retired, inspiring players to create new characters again. Of course, there would be special bonuses when heroes or villains do retire to new characters that are created, and be badges for retiring X amount of heroes/villains or a complete suite of archetypes. This incentive to move on and keep the game fresh would greatly enhance the continued playability of the game in the same way that the frequent emphasis to prevent powerleveling keeps the game world vibrant and dynamic. I'd like to see one of the game developers comment on this suggestion. Thanks!
Holy **** no. No ******* no. I have been playing the same character since April of '04. Keep your hands off.

Also, if you feel a "let-down" by finally getting the last of the game content opened up to you...that's on you.
  13. CoV is also more graphically intense than CoH.

  14. I play exclusively on Virtue, but I still have some slots open. So, more or less, I'm good for the name game on all servers. @Thaneval

As an aside, I had a former SG-mate and former IRL brother-in-arms who used to pull this (inappropriate character names, battle cries, in-game behavior) all the time. I will never understand his reasoning.

The name was stupid. Is that good enough?
  17. Munki, I'd be happy to roll up some name dummies if you like.

This is a joke, right? If you're trying to get something past the game filters and GMs, well duh, of course it's not okay.

They're stressing it an awful lot because people are dumb.

And as for the other topic at hand. Scenario:

I am giving one million bags of free peanuts out to one million people, for the sheer sake of being nice. Five people, it turns out, are allergic to peanuts. I don't have any alternatives, but that's okay--they don't eat the peanuts. One of them, however, accuses me of secretly trying to murder him. Clearly, the other 999,999 bags of peanuts are a ruse, and my murder plot has failed.
  21. I'd still love to see some free renames.

  23. One of my original SG mates couldn't take fly on his characters, because it caused motion sickness for him. Revel in your uniqueness.
