Excellent! But you forgot to blur out your secret EoE farm.
Now everyone will crowd your niche!

If you're blueside, hit up Steel Canyon. It has your Icon, University, and Wentworths (for buying all the other costume bits now that you are addicted) for all your needs.

3: Not filled with Emo kids/Twilight fans. (See #2)
The wiki isn't owned by WhiteWolf I don't believe. The only WoD concept we're Really using is the Clans/Sects. It's not like I'm linking people to WoD character sheets or telling them to list their disciplines per se. -
No word yet--I'll be getting it on Feb. 1. I wonder if we'll have to wait for after GR for the content to patch? Could be a loooong wait.

...whereas I enjoy set bonuses, slot as such, and prefer to work at things from the perspective of level 50. I have a Defender with better regen and hp than a regen Scrapper, and a Soldier with nearly 200% recharge.
Those are all decisions you'll have to make yourself, though. -

Think about it a different way: enhancements are currency. Each power can only hold "one dollars" worth.
One basic IO is a dollar coin, with Susan B Anthony on the front. (Apologies if you aren't American). You get special benefits for the number of Susans you put into a power. Two Susans give you +5% damage, and three Susans give you +10% recharge. That could be nice.
But then you look in your pocket, and you see that your money is acting weird. Each half-dollar piece is actually worth 55 cents. Each quarter is actually worth 35 cents. Your nickles are worth 10 cents.
So sure, you could work to get as many Susans in there for the set bonuses, or you could slot two half-dollar pieces, and still end up with 110 cents. How did that happen? Scratch that, use only nickles. Now your power has two dollars slotted into it, even though it can only hold one.
Gah. Thus ends my horribly ham-fisted attempt. The more aspects an IO enhances, the higher it boosts them. The total enhancement power of an even-con old-school SO is 33.33%. The total enhancement power of an IO at level 50 is 42.4%. But if you add up all the separate enhancing aspects of, say, a level 50 three-way enhancing IO...you get 63.6%
It's a way for people to further enhance their characters that ignores set bonuses. It can be advantageous for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that it isn't tremendously popular and requires a bit of work. Therefore, it can be incredibly cost efficient. -
DR affects every enhancement in the game, not just IOs. Slotting for sets goes against the very grain of frankenslotting. Frankenslotting instead relies on the fact that multi-aspect IOs have a higher enhancement value than single IOs. Therefore, the more multi-aspects you enhance separately, the higher the end total.

Nice read, and good work to all our MA artists.

Marketing requires somewhat of an initial investment. You have to spend money to make it. Further, there is the risk that a scheme may backfire and bankrupt you.
Farming, while it has a lower earning rate (based solely on inf. per mob), is far less risky.
In summary, I would agree that Marketeering earns more money faster, but it also loses it faster. With Farming, you'll only earn. -
Things drop differently here, and what they are determines how they drop. It may sound confusing, but it's not too much different, I'm sure.
Gray mobs don't drop anything.
Enhancements fall based on character level and enemy faction origin. Most Salvage drops similarly. With each, there are rare exceptions (special enhancements, special salvage). Recipes drop in a variety of ways.
In short, defeating mobs and completing missions earn rewards. Mind you, the -1/x8 makes things easier, but "less rewarding." IE, recipes will be earned at -1, because that is the level of the defeated enemy.
There are a lot of market guides stickied at the top of this forum, for reading on the flip side of the coin. And then flipping that coin. -
No, farming is the same thing here. With the new SRSLY options, it's even easier to set a map -1/x8 for one person. There are a few zones where you can "do it," but I think maps are the safest/easiest.
The inability to mail inf. really hasn't stopped the RMT folks, but the GMs have done a good job.
Marketing is more fun for some folks, vs. farming. It comes down to personal preference. Done right, each can be equally profitable. -

Quote:I've said the same thing, before--just not as articulate as you just did.I agree with this and if it was fixed like that it would go against the whole grey thing of Going Rogue.
A psycho more suited to be a villain could join the resistance because they just wanted an excuse to blow something up! And someone who was genuinely good (if a little misguided IMO) could be working as a loyalist but would be more suited as a hero.
And those are, pretty much, exactly the way several of my characters would react. Tyrant and the Praetorian Guard are the lawful ruling authorities. Not to mention the fact that anyone can ascend his meritocracy and change things if they wanted to, legally. Thus far, the Resistance just seem like terrorists to me. I would not be entirely surprised to find that their tech-steampunk appearances equates them to being the Praetorian Freaksho; they already have a lot in common. -

I haven't had a drop in a while, so if you want me to sit those Hecatomb, it could be a while. Time is money.
