  1. Cat is absolutely correct. All of this information can be independently verified on the wiki, by other players, or by rednames if needed.

It sounds like it is patching/fixing itself. Let it finish. In the meantime, take Zloth's advice:

After that, give us some data. My CoH Helper program can gather a lot of information about your computer and game settings and format it nicely for our forums. Paste that info into your post. You should also gather a HijackThis log so we can see what programs are running on your PC. If you have some programs up that you normally close before playing, go ahead and close them before getting your HiJack log, too.

It's obviously stable--we're all playing it.

Can we help? Will you let us?

It's called, "We've been here a while, because we like this game. Ergo, we often have positive things to say about things we like."
  5. We all know it's completely cool with Cryptic to pimp and shill on other hero MMO boards--I'm sure they won't mind if we just all start offering Trial and Returning Player codes on their boards.

I'd be happy to provide this service.
  6. This game is nearly six years old. You missed a 17 month window. Anyone who says that the 17 month window was actually the game, and not the four+ years of everything we've had since is deluding themselves.

ED complaining is just a way people deal with other issues with the game.

Unless it says it is unique in its own description, it's not. So it's safe to say that all the ones you looked at weren't unique.

And stacking multiple sets can be very advantageous.

Find me a worthless Dev, and I'll pay your subscription for the rest of your run on CoX.

I had noticed he was on lordyofboardys profile page as well. Hey look, there's me!
  10. No, because Hecatomb (and several other sets and IOs) is a unique set, and can only be used once.

Otherwise, and in other cases, you're right.
  11. As an aside, I thought it was six transfers a week. But yeah, with the freebie in affect right now, the OP has no one but themselves to blame. They need to consolidate some grey matter and decide what they want.

Or is it really an industry trend? Will NCSoft and Paragon Studios follow the model that Sony Online implemented successfully? Will the current free character transfer between servers in CoX lead to some less populated servers being shut down?

Will Going Rogue be run on the same servers as CoX? Or will it be run on newer, more powerful servers while CoX is run on older, fewer, consolidated servers?

The Beckett's "2009 in Review" article tracked trends in the MMO industry, including proliferation of microtransactions. Server consolidation is another industry trend.

Don't believe CoX is heading for server consolidation? Did you believe CoX would offer a for-pay travel power (Ninja Run)?
    Oh god, *laughs*

    Classy.
  15. There is an overgrown greenhouse up on monkey island in Peregrine. You can drop in through the broken ceiling, and chill out in the gardens. I always enjoyed that.

And the "Moon River" music from the developers dungeon in Grandville still makes me laugh. Brrraaaappppp.

God, I hope this gets into Pool Customization somehow.
  19. *strokes chin*

Interesting. It'll be a looong while before I am able to get in game, but I'll see what I can do.
  20. Liquid, I based my answer off of what I read on the Champ boards. If I drew the wrong conclusion, it was because of what the Champ players were saying.
  21. Hello. Not funny. And I don't mean, "Haha, gotcha, not funny." I mean, "Subject content of link: not funny."

  23. Personally, I'm of the opinion that they were undervalued to begin with. Now, at least, they're at where they probably should have been all along. And they're still affordable, depending on how much you want them.*

*This is the rule of thumb for ANY kind of loot: It's affordable, depending on how much you want it.
