  1. This game is six years old.

Unsigned for the 17 months that this was in place.

Let it go, man. Let it GO.
  2. Wise beyond your years. Thank you.

  5. This thread, and its closed beta forefather, are epic.
  6. Whoa, hold your horses there Chad...just because some red name said it doesn't mean it's so, and you can't just go quoting things around these parts. Why, just the other day someone told me the sky was blue. I refuse to look out the window I'm sitting next to--I want a report with documented photographs!
  7. Have a seat over here, Castle, and let's discuss how the Evil Marketers got together and secretly decided to lower the prices of costume recipes.
  8. There is no difference. You must have different settings for your clients.
  9. Pistols are open, but you all knew that.

The new and/or casual player is the best situated person in the whole mix. They stand to make a fortune on the markets, and common and uncommon recipes are dirt cheap. The hardcore nutjobs (like us) are the ones that drive high demand for rare and ultra-rare recipes, that result in increasing values.
  11. Hey Fulmens, people ever give you any grief for this? I'd been offering free transfers either way on Virtue for forever and the harassment I get just wasn't worth it. I don't volunteer my services any more--too much frustration. I don't need the money, I just help people move it...and somehow I'm the inconvenient jerk.

I do, and I've never farmed.

I just played the game "casually" for six years.

I have an SS/WP Brute that is as close to what I want for my main, but I don't like that, as a "Villain", he has to use Patron Powers. When I migrate to being a Hero will I be able to access the Ancillary Powers? If I am at a high enough level when I've had to take a Patron Power, will we be given respecs when we go fully from Villain to Hero (and vise versa)?

Or will our prayers to the Devs finally be answered and we get SS for Scrappers? ;-)

    We don't know.

Seriously, thought...do you play hidden, or at an odd time? My hidden characters get invited to teams.

So, we've lapped the information we were given and have gone straight to making things up? GG is right. You don't get to play either DP or DS, unless you buy GR. But if you buy GR, you can play them both early. Early as in nearly-right-now, not when GR goes live. DP will be live for DXP, DS afterwards (April-ish).
  17. Plus that is seriously a sweet costume.
  18. *yawn* Gosh, I feel kind of left out. Had yesterday off, and I tend not to check the forums on the weekend. In any case, though I'm aware this has been discussed to death:

Yes, it comes entirely down to laziness.

Or apathy. Or whatever you want to call it. It doesn't even have to have anything to do with the market. It's like demanding anything, that you haven't put any effort into. You could look at any facet of the game and apply the same thing to it. We're just lucky that the market of this game provides about a million different ways to turn a billion. Seriously, if one way isn't working...just go a different way.

BTW, we do give info away all the time. If you want to ignore us, that's on you. And a hearty ell-oh-ell to inf. buyers.

    Oh, and this for sure:

I don't expect people to know much about economics, especially if they're only in high school, but so many of the anti-market posts are self-contradictory, illogical, and easily disproven. I used to try to help people, but now I mostly avoid the Market forums. It's just so sad. CoH is only a game, but economics is real. If people can be so confused about the market in a game, then they must be completely helpless when faced with things like their 401(k) plan. Not being able to afford purple recipes is annoying. Not being able to afford retirement, that's tragic.

  21. The insolent and flippant disregard for the marketears of the plebes evidenced by your slouch is equal, in my book, to a top hat and monocle. Huzzah!
