  1. Tried for the 10.1s, ended up using the 9.11s, but yes.

I'm amazed at the relative shortfall of blue inf. I mean, I've converted ALL OF MINE, and I'm still getting requests that I have to turn down. But then, I'm sure this falls on dev ears. I mean, deaf ears.
  3. I'm not in it for charity. I'm in it for myself.

That said, I have enough inf. that I can give it away. Make me a unique offer, and the inf. is yours. I don't want IOs or salvage...think of something interesting.

My firewall wouldn't allow a connection like that without telling me. It asks to connect several times, but I always turn it down and proceed with my own manual update. Thanks for the idea, though. :/
  5. Also, screensavers no longer work. They only show up in a thin band across the top of the monitor. Minor gripe in all of this mess, but...just weird.
  6. No dice. Nothing happens with the 10.1 install--exactly the same as the full CCC install. I checked on the driver version number aaaaaand: 8.593.100.0.

So, apparently I don't even have the 9.11s installed. I can't understand this.

The 10.2s explicitly state that they support my card, an ATI Radeon 9500/9700.

I'll see if I can update just the driver, and not the whole CCC suite, though. Thanks for the idea, Ms. A!
  8. I'm on Virtue, and normally offer inf. trades either way--except I just moved 5B from red to blue for some folks, so I have a glut of the red inf. and no blue inf. I was thinking of charging 5% or something to weed out the ******* who've been harassing my free exchanges--but I'd do you for free if you knew the secret password.
  9. Congrats on the new job--wish you were staying. Best of luck in all you do!

Don't worry, that's just your perception--I assure you that the ATs remain unchanged at this time.

    Good Sign

    Interesting theory.

No dice. Exactly the same outcome--after installation, nothing happens. The 9.11s are the latest ones that work for me, and I'm back there again. (After installation of the 9.11s, a setup process follows, then a request to reboot, then you can use the CCC to adjust settings. Nothing happens, period, with any of the 10.xs.)

    new power set ?

    People.

    It's just an NPC.

    Seriously.

When you see Jurassic, try not to assume that we're all getting Buick-Regal-on-a-Stick Maces, either.

  14. This is shaping up to be the best year for the franchise since CoV came out--possibly EVER. And you want them to pull the plug just after it happens? I thought this subforum had some stinkers, but this one takes the cake in terms of worst suggestion ever.
  15. DumpleBerry

    Speedy toon

Totally. I'd probably make him a MA/SR scrapper, too. The SR for all the quick dodges and lunges, and the SR for all the bendy kicks and punches. If you really wanted to go crazy, you could slot him/her up with enough +Recharge sets from the IO system that he could have a perma-attack chain and just constantly beat on people.

Except I've heard of Superman. I've never heard of this guy before, and don't recognize any of the above pictures.
  17. Smurph, you are still one of the best things to happen to this game.

Good luck to you, and to all your potential contractors!
  18. I'm sure we would have tested this...if we had been informed of the change.

    servitors

    I love this idea.
  20. OMG that sounds exactly like what is going on for me. I can't wait to try this. THANK YOU.
  21. It's appreciated. Maybe someone else reading this thread will have encountered this problem as well.

Also, installed a much older version of the drivers and CCC and voila--not a single issue.

So. Roughly back where I started.
  22. Dear god. No change whatsoever. There is no evidence ANYWHERE that the install was successful. But if I attempt to reinstall, it says that everything is there and working fine...except there's nothing there. Nothing anywhere. Nothing in the ATI folder, nothing runs from the command line, no tray icons, nothing in the usual spots. Other than the "this software is installed and working fine" message, you'd think I never had a video driver or Catalyst suite to begin with.
  23. You basically described exactly what I did the first time around (and second, and etc.) I did NOT to turn off SpyBot, Avast, and ZoneAlarm, so I'll try that this time around. Thanks for advice!
  24. For obvious reasons, time to update my video card drivers. Been letting it go for a while, but it's time I updated them. Solicited advice from players, and tried to remember how I've done it in the past. Simple, yes?

    No.

Apparently...not good enough. I've now royally ****** over my computer. I've spent the better part of two hours trying to get my video drivers back--ANY drivers would be fine. Into the double-digits for compy reboots, too.

Did what I said I would do, and what was instructed--downloaded new drivers (ATI CCC 10.1s), uninstalled old drivers, driver-cleanered, booted to safe mode, driver-cleanered, attempted to install. No go. In normal performance mode, it SAYS it is installing...but then there is nothing there. Nothing anywhere. And a search of the computer finds...no CCC suite, no ATI materials anywhere. So the display is running off of the basic VGA adapter. Posting on the forums alone is like trying to chisel on a rock tablet.

I keep installing, and nothing is happening. It LOOKS like it is installing...but at the end of it all and the forced reboot: nothing. Open to ANY suggestions.
