I still think 1B is an awful, awful lot.

Quote:This just in, Going Rogue's price has increased 28,000%. While I'm all for commercials for CoX, we don't have the stupidly disposable budget that WoW does. Not something in our control, but Just like WoW gets Mr T and Ozzy to promote (which Im sure they dont play), why not find some stars that get CoXd up for real and do some TV/magazine runs? Always thought seeing Jessica Alba and Biel doing CoX commercials in superhero/vill outfits would be a winner.

I have seen too many SGs torn apart because someone feels guilty telling someone else to grow up. Kick them, and make your SG a better place.

What does she say to you now?
Scroll down all your active and inactive contacts. Do any have small book icons next to them?
If so, you'll have to clear those by completing the story arc. Following that, you should at the very least be able to complete a Safeguard Mission and select her as a contact. -

Quote:This is why I find conspiracy theories so laughable. Clinton couldn't hide an intern under his desk, and I'm supposed to believe that [insert religious group] lead by [insert political figure] collaborated with the [insert color] aliens and their secret agent [insert political figure] to assassinate [insert movie star] and take out the World Trade Center? No secret identity would hold up to the relentlessness of the paparazzi.
Our media would get our super heroes and their loved ones killed dead rather quickly.
A super hero, by their very nature, is somewhat attention-drawing. I don't think it would take very long for anyone who crossed from Youtube feature into mainstream celebrity to be outed/celebritized. -
"Yeaaaarrrgh, what do ye do with TWO drunken sailors?!" *Captain spins dial* "Yohoho, peg leg goes on grey, me hearties!" "But captain, they're all grey! [hic]" *Captain unsheathes sword* "PEG LEG GOES ON GREY, OR SO HELP ME YE'LL ALL BE SWABBIN' TH'DECKS O'DAVY JONES' LOCKER!!!!"
If I am a winner, I permit NC Interactive, Inc. and NCsoft Europe Limited to use my name, likeness, photograph, hometown, and any comments that I may make about myself or this contest that I provide for advertising and promotional activities. Except those are legit addresses for the e-mail and the URL. I'd directly petition your Aion CS.

Quote:To appropriately answer your question, I'd like it clarified. I recognize that this is just my opinion, but so is the entirety of this thread. I have several level 50's (and plenty of 40's, 30's, etc.), but only two are hardcore IOd. The remainder function quite well with basic SO/IO builds that cost well under 50 mill. or so. It seems to me that being able to completely SO/IO a level 50 character and still have some left over is "plenty rich." Since I consider myself a "hard core" player, I would assume that a preponderance of the game population have similar playstyles in scope to my "Diet SO/IO lite" stylings. If you consider a few hundred mill "plenty rich" I'd like to know what you consider rich to be. Humor me, I just woke up and need something to laugh at.
If I missed your definition, please clarify it--and I'll be happy to clarify my answer for you superior amusement. -
Obviously a very disturbed individual. It was his wife's decision, and freedom-loving Praetorian citizens should not have to suffer for his inability to cope with being dumped. He's a menace to society.

Didn't mean to step on any toes, Bill, but I would qualify a few hundred million as being plenty "rich" enough to manage about 85% of what the game offers, even fancy IO sets. I frankenslotted IO'd my old villainous main completely out the wazoo for less than 50 million.
If you want to achieve that last 15% of the game shenanigans, you're expected to expend at least a little effort. At least, I do. -
I was just thinking of you yesterday.
Bet you're wondering what I was thinking of. -
Quote:You failed right there. Honest to god, how can you play this game for two and a half years, have 10 level 50's, and not be rich beyond your wildest dreams? What are you doing with it?
I get by decently as a 30 month Vet with 10 50's and all 36 of my character slots filled on Virtue, but at times I struggle to even begin to slot a build the way I planned it. So imagine for a second what it would be like to be a new player looking at the market and seeing 100's of millions of influence for one thing and then their bankroll barely breaking a million. (If they are lucky) -

Quote:Interesting read. Not that you asked, but I feel the complete opposite. A small group of people caused this, and it wasn't the devs.Know what's funny about all of this? It wasn't part of any preparation for i17, but just to introduce a code to kill out a farm. Not that I condone extreme farming, but honestly I think the devs should put a little more focus on game quality and a little less into worrying about people power levelling. There are always going to be farms, and people using exploits to gain certain advantages. It's part of any game. Live with it. Let them do as they will, stop it when you can, delete the farms as they appear, but stop messing with the game structure just to try and nerf them. It always seems to cause some sort of stability issue, and honestly in the end you end up with more players angry that you bugged their game than those angry that you nerfed their farm. Just some food for thought.

No, you aren't the only one. You may find some helpful tips in the other threads on this.

Quote:This isn't a shaky foundation, this is a hole in a screen door. I used hyperbole in my post, yes...but to suggest that there is some quantity of innocence intervening on behalf of those who used the exploits because the Devs deserved it for making, in your words, something broken is just... Wow.Really? The "sploiters and noobs" caused the development staff to take action to fix bugs that the development staff ONLY is responsible for causing. Where I work that's called fixing what you broke. I can't imagine blaming one of my customers for finding a bug created by one of our developers.

This valuable time that would have normally been devoted to getting I17 and GR our to you for free and for minimal cost, respectively, was devoted to fixing a stupid loophole, and is proudly brought to you largely on the behalf of lame sploiters and noobs. Thanks gang, hope you enjoy!

Mass bumping, request for personal redname address, and standard code rant. This thread just went solid gold.
