Oh, sweet.
After the fact, I thought--well, "immediately" is probably overkill, considering that they can probably see that you've been charged for it, and don't have it... Either way...yay! -
At least they were upfront about having a fictional reason why they wouldn't do it.

Quote:You really really make me laugh. Are we even playing the same game?I hate i17, the only thing i was actually interested in with it was the animated tails since i cant run ultra mode anyway, and even that managed to break.
Cant use tailor to change costumes because i client crash, cant create a new charecter because i crash on name entry screen, which therefore means I cant use demon summoning either. The game is worse off than in it was pre i17, once again a crappy barely tested patch gets pushed to live before its ready, really not impressed at all. -
Hereafter referred to as, "The Resisting Carrot" bug.

Quote:Heh, god that scared the crap out of me all over again, but it makes sense. New CCC suite installed, new hotkey puller killing my game, all over again. At least this time I knew what to do.And it seems as though I needed to disable the Hotkey Poller once again (Thank you very much Dumpleberry and others who helped solve that back in beta).
Just figured I'd mention that, as the input delay reared its ugly head once I got to the log in screen. -
No one besides myself has access to my account, so this kind of seems like a waste of time to me.

I think I'll delete some old alt-alts, after I clear them out.

Quote:Waaait, so people were just failing the final mission and scoring the merits from it after it timed out?I only think it's funny that they dealt with a farm by removing a timer. That's definitely a switch.
If the last mission of a story arc is timed, you can log out without completing it, then return in a bit to pick up your merits. If you are playing in Ouroboros, you can do the same arc repeatedly. Story arc merits don't have diminishing returns.
Hmm. I wonder if they will remove the timer from the Banished Pantheon map in the Wheel of Destruction arc too.
I don't think it would have ever occurred to me to deliberately fail something for a reward. Huh. -
Quote:Was it really worth releasing i17 with this many bugs that were reported in beta just so it could be timed with the anniversary?
Sure it´s a new issue and there are things going to be broken but a lot of the stuff was known and not dealt with.
Some things were stealth added and since noone knew about them they couldn't test them.
What's up with that?Quote:What about all the stealth changes that have not been properly tested since noone was aware of them?
Also I said i knew there would be bugs but leaving them after release even if they have been reported is in my opinion pretty ugly.

Quote:*stops playing I17, which was free*Mutant pack comes out soon apparently but thats a paid pack, there doing exactly what i feared and moving away from free content to more paid stuff :/
They are a company after all, it was to be expected eventually but still sucks.
*looks at 16 other free content updates, vs. GR and a few boosters*
Riiight. -
Despite the illegibility, this is currently WAI.

Experiencing a complete screen flicker whenever I use any scroll bars, anywhere in the game. Did NOT experience this on test. Weird, and annoying.

Quote:Got the 9.11s up and running. I had the 10.1s working before, but they don't seem to be on the Legacy list anymore. Nothing past 10.1 installs--I had hoped they had fixed it, but no dice. I'll try laying the 10.4 on top of this stable setup.Ouch. Showing legacy 10.2s on ati.amd.com right now for the 9700. I have to ask: When was the last time you completely wiped your rig and reinstalled everything, including the 10.2s, from scratch on a freshly formatted hard drive?
As for starting from scratch? Never. I know, not the best option--but it's our only computer and I don't have the freedom to rebuild it, we couldn't survive without it. Yes, it's time to buy another rig--I just don't know if I can afford a decent gaming desktop. Believe it or not, I've kept this thing lean and mean since 2001. I never thought I'd get 10 years out of it.
Well, all the graphics-card-related transfusions were thanks to you. -
Quote:It's still the case, device manager will show you the packaging version. For example the 10.4's show as 8.723 in there, they are still 10.4's though.
If you're having problems then just uninstall the old drivers, run CCleaner, reboot and install the new ones.Quote:Billz, this thread did me so much good over the years and I'm not sure if I've posted in here to thank you before, but I'm thanking you now regardless. So glad to see the water quality issue gone along with all the other long standing issues! No longer do I need to feel disappointed that I went for an ATI card when my main game was CoH.
Now...
Last time I updated my drivers (9.12) for my 3850HD AGP it was a bit of a nightmare.
I think it was mostly due to some problem with the AGP interface/support and I had to use someone's custom modified file in order to have it finally work (Dumpleberry, could this be your issue?)
So, I'm just asking you far more knowledgeable helpful blokes if these latest drivers will work with the AGP models and/or if there's anything else I should know (Besides that I should get a new motherboard and get a PCIE card, etc).
My quick bit of searching hasn't led me to any news or information about the AGP models and these drivers... Which could be good news as well.Quote:EK, Dumpleberry, did yall see this link when trying to get your drivers directly from ati.amd.com?
For graphics cards, I noticed the Series 3XXX AGP and it links to this page:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles...AGPHotfix.aspx
I have an ATI Radeon 9500/9700. It STILL WILL NOT allow me to update the drivers past 10.1. Trying to tweak the drivers on this damn thing is always an instant trip to "punch-my-monitor-and-throw-it-out-the-window-and-spit-on-it-ville."
Since I've now royally screwed everything up, again. I'm off to rererererereredownload another set of old 9.0-10.0 legacy drivers. But since my computer never tells me what version I have, it's a shot in the dark again. -
The People. You Know Who You Are.
Damn, six years? That's not an MMO, that's a relationship. -

As that event is over, I would imagine not. Perhaps your schedule will be more agreeable next time.

Let's try it again. You have nVidia, yes? Do you use Google Desktop?
