Quote:Morally superior?Let's not forget the huge screaming hordes...well, throngs, at least...okay, the isolated and somewhat small group of self-righteously indignant and morally superior former players who LOUDLY ragequit over being forced to endure advertising in a game they were paying for!
Those threads were epic lulz.
This^^^ was what bothered me. Those ruined city maps that the Freakshow love? They were all over those. Just everywhere. The implementation was really just...sub-par. -

I'm not usually available till ten or eleven eastern, but barring anything I forgot about--I'll be there!

First, if you have a multi-BILLION inf. build specced out for a level 50--you're clearly dabbling in purple and PvPIO sets. So get used to working for it. Ultra rare and ultra-ultra rare enhancements are exactly that: ultra rare. In no way should you get some manner of hand out of them.
Also, they're not as hard as people think they are to get. If you work hard and take your time--especially once you've hit 50--it's fairly easy to attain. Last issue they introduced a new and "easier but longer route" to earning them. Check out alignment merits when you get the chance.
But SECONDLY, if that WASN'T what you were getting at with your original post, then perhaps you were confused about how much inf. a character has in general and/or SHOULD have at current levels. Frankly, 30 million inf. should be chump change to a level 50. All of my characters that transition from the teens into the twenties tend to do so already having eclipsed 30 million inf. long ago. By the end of the game, you should have a pretty solid pile of inf. to use.
Perhaps you need to reexamine the way you do your characters' "bookkeeping." Are you just deleting every drop they get? SELL THEM. There are a ton of guides in the Market section of the forums to help. Good luck! -
Oh, but you're wrong--I earned Fabricator early on. You know, back when it was 10,000 crafts. That's how I made my first billion, pretty much.

Gemini Park, the Wisp pond in Croatoa, the greenhouse on monkey island...

I went to Icon first, before going to the park. For real. It was like, "I can't go see everyone LOOKING LIKE THIS!!!"
-
I've found it VERY entertaining and ridiculously profitable on every character I've done it on.

They're largely used to the constant and regular summer onslaught, but you can be sure the slums will be the hardest hit. I'm sure Recluse will enjoy the view from his fortified tower, though.

Quote:How close to "right" do you have to be to win? How close to "wrong" for an opponent to win? I'm tempted to up the ante, take you up on this, and disburse the winnings/losings in some manner of contest give away. Thoughts? So, here's a theory I just came up with:
- The players don't want New Zones, per se. They want the old cities to be overhauled to match Praetoria.
- The Coming Storm is Coming.
- The image is of a blown up city.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am betting 20 million INF that we are getting overhauled zones when key areas of Paragon City and The Rogue Isles are devastated.
Any takers? -
Quote:I was discussing the execution of the changes with someone related the other day, and you're more or less correct. It's just easier to for them to enforce the previously existing rules from a clean slate perspective, even if there was very little change at all.It also never happened, so it is kind of funny since they pretended it did.
Quote:Well, if someone canceled their subscription to the game because of a change in forums policies then i suspect they were one of the rare people who only subscribes for the forum pvp. Which seems a bit excessive to me, but then the forums could vanish entirely tomorrow and i'd still continue playing the game. Posting in other forums, of course, but i'd still be playing.
i guess i'm strange like that. -
It doesn't matter how long I wait--the people that quit the game over the forum changes are unlikely to come back. That's not funny, and it never will be.

This thread needs more art
By art I mean poetry
Bring it on, haikus -
Quote:Ye gods.If you take your villain hero side, odds are he will want to unlock his cape.
When he runs the hero cape mission, he'll probably ask why he has to travel to the far ends of Skyway and Independence Port.
When he's finished, he'll ask where the nearest Tailor is.
When he goes to Serge, he will ask where to find level 20+ Tsoo.
When he goes to Talos Island to battle the Tsoo he will see Wentworths Market.
At the Wentworths market he will see the notification of a zone event in Atlas Park.
Not knowing all the shortcuts to Atlas Park from Talos Island he will make the long trek back.
When he gets to Atlas Park the zone event will be almost over.
Odds are a costume contest will be announced after the event ends, so he will enter it.
While in the contest he will realize he never returned to Serge to unlock the costume slot and use his new cape.
After losing the costume contest he will remember how little zone traveling there was villain side.
And chances are when he remembers that he's going to want to return to villain side.

Was that you in the picture at the beach, doing the headstand?

Quote:The location of the foes (instanced versus street sweeping) is irrelevant. They need only be 47+. Random is random.Al I can say is that I feel your pain. I run my 50 SD/SS Tanker every day and have gone months without a purple drop. I have gotten maybe three with him in the last year, while my buddy seems to get them everyday. One tip that I can suggest is to street sweep in PI. I have gotten a few there with my 50 Elec Blaster by doing this. I actually got two in one night by just running down the street and fighting anything that showed up. It is just the luck of the draw. Besides, if they dropped as often as Temp Powers, it wouldn't be as much fun and they would pay out as much in Wentworths!

Hey, this thread is up top again. Woo.
Back on topic:
My Crab is a full hero.
My PB is a full villain. Quantums, Voids, and other PB entities spawn redside. -
I got two this week from two different goons in the same mob, on the same map. I haven't had a purple since the five-spot last year...and the two landed so close to each other that the RECIPE FOUND purple banner just appeared once and stuttered.
The very fact that we occasionally get threads asking what the heck is going on with the drop rate confirms that the randomness is still WAI. -
Random is random. Things are usually pretty dry for me, but I once got five purples in the same arc, spread over two days. I was pretty spoiled.

Go go EU. Make it count!
