It's the most interesting Incarnates in-game.
The Titan represents Hamidon, and you have the Coles. I'm curious as to if that hunched figure is Richter. They're all wrapped in the white aura, so they're probably not physically there but some manner of apparition. -
Quote:This is correct. However, a single attack that has multiple damage components can be just as lethal (IE doing S/L + Fire would kill you outright).I believe that no single attack in game can kill - sorry, defeat, a PC outright. It's something along the lines of the max damage an attack can do is PC Max HP-1. Thus any character on full HP will still be standing (just) no matter what hits them, but the next attack is highly likely to finish them off.
-
I'm betting it's a map that is unique to the Incarnate unlock arc.
-
Good deal! I was unable to play yesterday, so hopefully all my sales have cleared and I'm closer to my next billion to invest.
-
Quote:That's what we're like around here. Sure, we have some jerks--but we usually have to import them from other MMOs.Hooray! A mod posted in my thread. Thats a first on any forum. Alright, will do.
Play the game, have fun; interact with other players and the game designers on the boards, have fun; learn all sort of tips and tricks, have fun. That's about it. -
The money is flowing again on my end, so I hope to have another billion to burn in a bit.
-
I bet we can find a ton of people older than the OP.
-
Quote:Right. So my magic teleporter can get you there in ten minutes. Why are we waiting?Yep, six years. That's relativistic travel for you. Try this calculator -- you want the 'Long Relativistic Journeys' section.
Again, from the point of view of people on Earth it would take 22 years. But only six for the people on the ship.
And note that six years of constant 1 G acceleration is far beyond anything our technology is capable of, right now. Just because the trip is possible doesn't mean we can start today. -
I don't know much about the man outside of Shining Time Station. I'm aware that he was a comedian, yes, but wasn't the point of his famous bit making fun of profanity in itself? That's sort of metaprofanity. Like burning down a house to protest arson--there are extenuating circumstances.
-
Quote:Only six years? That can't be right.By galactic standards it's as close as we've ever seen. Temperatures that allow liquid water, only 1.5 G gravity, and only a 6 year trip from Earth. The only possible lack is oxygen in the atmosphere...and we can put a colony in a dome.
Yeah, 'habitable' and 'nearby' would seem to apply in this case. If you're looking for a garden of Eden out there, you ain't gonna find it.
Quote:Okay this virus talk always gets my goat. It usually indicates the person doesn't understand biology or nature in general. Humans are not like a virus. Virus need other cells to reproduce and can't reproduce on their own. Thats it. Thats the only difference between a virus and EVERYTHING else. We behave no different than any other organism. Given the chance, every other creature from a gorilla to the most simple e.coli will use up all the resources it can get its hands, paws, claws, tentacles, pseduopods or flagella on. -
Top 30 in a week is pretty good.
Now for the heavy lifting. Hrm. -
Quote:That was us, that did that. We (being the Steel 100 or what-not) discovered that you could stack holds/immobs on them and basically "hold" them in the sky and then blast the hell out of them. Then Castle came in, we told him what happened, and he changed them. Good times!Dropships can't be taunted, are immune to any -speed debuff as well so they will continue on their flight path meaning you have to deal a lot of damage quickly before they exit the zone.
I remember doing this on Virtue where the team eventually took out something like 25 Dropships.
Sadly you don't get anything good from them, not even merit rewards and it takes a lot of people to bring them down. -
Having just released I18 and GR concurrently, and currently beta testing Issues 19 AND 20 simultaneously...I wouldn't bet on any changes to Halloween.
-
She's on one of the lesser bluffs facing the city--not hard to find at all. I still can't verify the fireflies thing, but the magic booster parts were put to good use for her.
So...is she just wedged in there, or is there some manner of magical backstory. This is Praetoria we're talking about here, people. -
I accidentally shot my mouth off correcting someone who was talking about it on the Help Channel. Lucky me, they were nice enough to straighten me out. Apparently, the contact is actually intermittent as well--and when they are gone there is a cloud of fireflies placeholder. Where did I just hear about such a thing...?
-
Hey, can I ask about the STEALTH PATCH NOTE: COSTUME CONTACT IN IMPERIAL CITY?
I mean, really? -
Can you make some sort of Uncle Scrooge Money Bin room? Doesn't seem right that the 88s don't have a place to backstroke through bucks.
-
While it's true that "intellectual inadequacy" can refer to, "Dur, I are stupid. You eat poop on you!" it can also refer to, "I am incapable of rendering my thoughts and emotions for reasons out of my control, and there are no words for this but ** ** ***** **** ****."
-
I've always felt that heavy profanity use, largely, displays an innate intellectual inadequacy with regard to being incapable of expressing one's thoughts and feelings like a civilized human being.
That said, why not make your bathroom-etiquette villain talk like Wolverine, Lobo, or Roman Moroni? All the cursing you can stand, and still rated G.
-
New definitions of the terms "habitable" and "nearby," I take it?
-
Some time after college, my friends were parting and going separate ways and someone suggested an MMO. Remember, this was before everything was connected to the internet. So we ran up a list of about ten MMOs and picked out favorites and ended up deciding on CoX. After a long wait, it came out and we all jumped aboard. The only one of us with any MMO experience suggested rolling up on Virtue, theorizing that the RPrs would be more accommodating to us MMO noobs.
Pretty quickly, most of them dropped the game and quit. Same time, more or less, I met some pretty awesome people on Virtue.
Been here ever since. -
To all the <100 posters in here: Welcome to another fun part of the game.
