AWWW! You have the cutest avatar evers!
  3. I have a chubby little bumble bee named Pachibu. He's a Force Field/Dark Blast defender. I like him a lot and he makes lots of little friends in games. He is even acquainted with a few care bears.
Our bees should be friends! Send me an in-game global message some time.

Also! I am not sure but you could always color Storm just right or maybe Dark Miasma and make it look like pollen? :P
  4. Heys all! Morning
Well I didn't really have time to participate in the double XP weekend. However, I am very excited about the Halloween event that is coming up. I can't wait to see what is different from last year. It should be exciting!

Honestly, if I just changed the hair into something else, no one would probably even tell. But I don't want to do that, simply because I'm satisfied with the way he looks as is.

I've seen other players get away with far more blatant copies of other truly iconic characters; right down to the nomenclature. And I've seen far more eerie rip-off characters created between different video game and animation companies...

But you know, where do you really draw the line? I see a lot of characters heavily influenced by established IPs, and characters with bios that originate in already-established universes. I mean technically, aren't they all in violation and warrant their characters genericized and bios wiped?

Honestly, I think from now on, I'm just going to feign dumb....

I just feel that the need to heckle is incredibly petty. I see my own share of what I consider to be dumb character concepts, very lame attempts at RP, or very bad team management. But I don't reach out and try to put the other person down in any way. It's a game, and we're all in it to have fun. If I see something I don't agree with, I just shake my head and move on.
Yeah I would agree to take the high road. Not everyone plays the game though. There are some that think they do but don't realize that they also use it to vent their anger and de-stress which eventually leads to them attacking other people. People are violent by nature...so that's what that is all about.

But again! taking the high road and just focusing on enjoying your game is probably the best way to go, my friend.

  7. Well the issue is you say that for once you want to see people join and help out. I am not sure if you really understand the mentality of "what do I get out of it?" (but if you do then enough said. )

I think that it's a great idea that you have this motivation and you want your VG to be a success but the issue is people aren't going to sign on for anything unless they get something out of it. Simply helping you create your SG is not enough of a reward (even though helping someone in itself should be one.)

And yes, people are quitting the game for other MMOs but this is something I am hoping time and Rogue will help to fix. My thoughts are a lot like yours. It is hard to run something like that by yourself and the mentality of people joining and quitting when it's not some majestic and amazing VG would frustrate me too. I had a SG going or a while but it was hard to run by myself, and the people I entrusted to help me were more concerned with their personal in-game interests.

I helped to run a 1500 Member gaming community in Guilds Wars, Warhammer, and Age of Conan so I'll let you know some things that I learned. Recruiting has to be a constant. You have to get a bunch of people that are just as motivated as you to get new people in there and make them feel at home. But keep in mind that people will join and seem really cool or seem like they're going to stay forever, and then leave....and the bad part is it's going to be a dissapointment every single time. But you know what, deing dissapointed when they leave just means you care. That makes you a good VG leader.

Also, don't depend on the game alone to keep people interested. Talk with the members on a personal basis and form a friendship with as many people in your group as possible. (If you have vent that works great too for keeping people interested. Even if they are not in game they'll still be on vent hanging out and this improves their odds of coming back to YOUR VG when they take up CoX again.)
Also, come up with events and allow the members to participate and donate and even vote on events so that way they know they're part of a team and not just a number.

The most important thing of all (other then recruiting) is the atmosphere. Make your VG a nice place to be by promoting people based on their contributions AND personality. Something that I took with me from the gaming community I use to help run is that you never let someone who has obvious personality issues in a position of power because believe me when I say this: "They WILL take down members in their wake as they destroy the atmosphere you have worked so hard to create." People log in to have fun not deal with drama. If the VG has drama people will leave so fast you won't even know what happened. So, you want to focus on quality over quantity (no matter cliche it may seem, it's absolutely right.)

That's about all I can say about the issue. I really am sorry that you're having troubles with your VG and I hope that everything works out great for you. It sounds like you really care about the game and your VG. There should be more of you around

(If you wanted to discuss anything further please feel free. I'll subscribe to this thread for you and of course you could always send me a Tell in-game or a Message on the forums.)
  8. Okay I guess I'll ask the obvious question, Lol.
WHY do you want negative reputation? :P

*btw I added negative rep for youz*
  9. Why would the Devs NOT want ice to look like crystals? Were they completely against it or they just didn't consider it?
  10. This is also a question that I think the Customer Service people for NCsoft might be able to help you with (If you still have any questions)

Just submit a ticket through your PlayNC.com account that is associated with the game account you're speaking of.

Explain to me again how this doesn't get interpreted by Synapse, Sunstorm, and The Other Powers Guy as yet another instance of Castle getting all the perks while they do all the work.
You didn't completely quote me. Lol. You're like a news reporter :P

I warned himz about taking meh stuffs :P
  12. I decided to join a sewer team on my Lv.48 character and see how this Double Influence, 0 XP thing works. However it doesn't seem to do what it says it does.

I was exemplared to Lv.5 and had Double Inflence and No XP enabled. I was getting 200-800 influence for the enemies that were being defeated and sure enough 0 XP.

However, when I disabled it so I DID earn XP and got "normal" Influence on my Lv.48 I was actuall making a very large amount more. It was anything from 1000-11,000. Does anyone know why when I turn on double influence I actually only get 1/5 of the influence I would be getting while Exemplared?
  13. I submitted a ticket to them about this and they told me they were aware of the issue and working as fast as possible to fix it.

We should put together a charity event to Save Our Synapse. We'll get a little poster of little baby Synapse looking all weak and oppressed.

*walks into Castle's office dressed in a full leather outfit and thigh high heels, and wrestles the whip away from him. Then mists him in the face with cold water*

Niet!...bad. I'm not going to tell you again to stay out of my riot persuasion supplies

  15. I think the Devs are doing a great job. I can't contemplate how hard it is to please thousands of players and work under the pressure of your jobs. You guys take a lot of !@#$ for things like AE (which btw was something you probably worked your butts off for and an example of how you continue to bring us innovation and unique content). I think you all are doing a great job and I support you all.

Thank you Saphire7 for posting something so nice for them.

And of course, Thank you Devs for doing your best job for us.

    Serious Question

I build superior toons in CoX by careful examination of every tiny minute set bonus possible. My toons are able to solo 300 of any single type of boss in a single room.

What I enjoy is facing the hordes of enemies and laying waste to them all. I use no exploit what so ever. I expect to be rewarded for all my hard work, but the developers of this game insist on nerfing every high end challenge I can face.

My friends' who enjoy the same aspect of this game are all on the verge of quitting. I too am on the verge of quitting.

My question ... Is it time to quit? I can't seem to find any enjoyment left in this game and I don't want to abandon a game that I've invested so much in, but I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.
I think your question is one that only you can answer. Based on your outlook I would assume that is to leave the game and find something else.
  17. If you were hero side I would offer to help you :P
I need to get the last badge on my Fire/Kin and I'll be dual boxing and hitting the demon farms hard this month.

I heard there was a way for villains to farm a mission given to them by a television screen? If it's true then that could be a suggestion. You can Exemplar down and do banks with people over and over because you earn infamy as though you fighting Lv.50 enemies of whatever is in the bank even though they're low levels.

Either way, good luck on your badge Tassies! <3

Go to the Mid's website and simply re-download it. There is an error that prevents you from updating the previous. Just download the new one right on top of the current one and it should work.

No matter how much regen you have, it's going to be vulnerable to damage spikes. It's better to make sure your hit points are capped most of the time (easier with accolades than IOs), and then boost your recharge so that MoG and your heals are up as often as possible.
Word. Regen is a great set but don't dump everything into trying to out-heal the damage. Regen and being able to resist and or evade damage is a great way to run the build.

I agree. You should try and get attention for it so that the chance of something being done is greater.
And if you do I would suggest linking the thread in this one so people can go there and post after you.
  23. I can not confirm the i2 remake through IOs however I would suggest using sets not IOs, there are some pretty cheap Yellow and Orange sets that work and are pretty cheap.

As far as your question goes about Regen stack, the answer is Yes. Lets say you have a 5 of the Numina's (Recov/Regen excluded) in Dull Pain and Reconstruction, and your current Regen rate before slotting the Numina's is 100%

After 2 Numina's Set you Regen rate will be 124%.
The 6% heal increase does not increase your Regen further but it does increase the hard heal from DP and Recon.

If you have questions about the mathematics behind your character I would suggest downloading Mid's Hero Designer. It's a great tool and let you know everything you need to know about your build and allows you to view it's statistics once completed at Lv.50.

P.S. As far the i2 thing you might want to report this in the Scrapper/Stalker boards where the experts at those ATs search to help players with their questions. I always get answers in that board.

Goodluck and I hope everything work out for your build my friend
