Then I'd park a Cold/ and a Sonic/ outside with each other as targets. As you walk by to get your mission, you punch up defense, resist, and +HP. No need for them to be on your team, enter the mission, or even be very high level. level 10 would be plenty for basic shields, level 15 ish for full powered shields.
The thing is an SS/Fire really shouldn't need more defense/res if you're running an appropriate farm, more recharge and damage however can help alot.

Yeah, this. use fly so you don't get stuck on things and spam transfusion (to keep the kin alive not the brute), then alt tab whenever you need SB and FS. It speeds up the farm considerably.
  3. For fiery melee, I always use this as a point of reference when building my toon:

    Incin(144%)>Scorch(74%)>Cremate(89%)>Scorch = ~170 DPS

There are others, but these are the most used. The ~170 DPS chain is the best for EPS, and it also benefits from having the Hecatomb proc in Scorch, which would increase it's DPS.

Leveling, I ran the 170 DPS chain, and ended up going with the top chain because I found that I liked GFS's burst damage too much to part with it.
  4. Set mule for 5-6 purple confuse IOs. It would be significantly better if it triggered every 2 seconds like most other offensive auras, however it is stuck with triggering once every 4 seconds, which makes it a lot worse than it could be.

When you have Healing Flames on top of 45% S/L defense and decent resists, /FA becomes _very_ survivable, in and out of farming instances, layered mitigation is ftw.
  6. So who's been running numbers? I am extremely curious if a [Rib Cracker > Shin Breaker > Rib Cracker > Heavy Blow/Crushing Uppercut] attack chain is possible, though I sort of doubt it. Since you could get -15% res from 2 Rib Crackers, -20% res from achilles proc in Shin Breaker, and potentially -20% res with a fury of the gladiator proc in Heavy Blow when Crushing Uppercut isnt up.

I don't actually have the set though yet, and mids isnt updated with it, and I suck at formulating attack chains, I could be way off, but -35-55% res coming from a melee could be damn sexy.
  7. 6:40 on my mind/fire dom. Could probably bring that down a bit if I ran it some more.
  8. Rad/Cold or Rad/Kin then unlock Destiny and get T3 Clarion.
  9. Looks very fast animating with a -res ability. Very promising, but numbers would be nice.

Charged Brawl and Havoc Punch have the exact same damage, end, recharge, and animation times as Energy Punch and Bonesmasher. IE: on a high end build, both builds can use an Energy Punch(charged brawl)>Blaze>Bonesmasher(havoc punch)>Energy Punch(charged brawl)>Blaze attack chain. (I believe thats the attack chain, I haven't played in a long time). However /Elec has the damage aura on top of that which puts it far ahead.

It should be noted, however, that /EM has better mitigation through stuns and knockback from Power Thrust, being able to keep bosses and EBs perma knocked.

  12. While I was stripping IOs off my emp I picked it up just to mess with before stripping more IOs.

Regen Aura, Recov Aura, Phantom Army do not stack. (sadface).

Adrenaline Boost can't stack on the same target, but you could use it to get AB on 2 people (which is nice, I suppose, and get Fortitude on an extra person at the same time, or rezz 2 people back to back, if you actually take the rez).

For a support emp I could see it being a decent choice, the -end is really unfortunate, but emps don't really have any endurance issues. For most other things it looks to be pretty gimicky.
  13. M/R/A defense + a resist shield is better than S/L/E defense without a resist shield.
  14. No you're not going to be holding one of the big AVs in any of the incarnate trials like a regular AV; however a /Fire dom can do great single target dps in the AV fights in the incarnate trials using a competitve incinerate>blaze>fire blast attack chain, while also being able to lock down all the bosses and elite bosses faster than anyone else can throughout the rest of the trial. Going //ice mastery also provides an incredibly useful debuff in the form of sleet.

edit to add: In incarnate trials hard control >>> soft control. Things die far too fast for soft control to really be useful, but if you're fast enough locking down a mob fast as your group goes in can prevent alot of damage, if you're trial isnt over buffed.
  15. Is it actually worth slotting Chrono Shift for healing considering its on a 90 second recharge? That and really temporal mending should be more than plenty of healing on softcapped defenses with resists on top.

    Fabulous! Thank you very much
  18. So after returning to the game after 6ish months and moving over to the NCsoft launcher to start up the game everything has gone great except that after I open one instance of the game from the NCsoft launcher, I cannot open a second, which means I can't play my second account. I had no issues dual boxxing before, but after moving to the NCsoft launcher after pressing 'PLAY NOW' in the NClauncher it will open the game, but if I try to do it again nothing happens.

A friend in game said when he dual boxxes he gets a prompt when he presses play now after he already has the game open asking if he wants to open a second window with the game, however I don't get this prompt, literally nothing happens.

So I am wondering if anyone has an answer as to why I can't open a second instance of the game and how I might be able to fix the problem.

    Thanks.
  19. consider me a 'maybe', pending on if im available that day, im not sure yet
  20. MoLRSF is a joke because of perma mind doms, if you don't know someone that can play one for your group then its not too bad if you have alot of buffs/debuffs rolling in your group, if you don't have either of the above then you should rethink your group comp. MoSTF is pretty easy if you have some solid buffing going on, and can be earned without even trying for it on speed runs with people that know what theyre doing. These 2 masters difficulty depends heavily on what kind of group composition you are running (heavy amounts of support = easier run) and if you have competant players (the ones who know when to pop break frees and greens)

MoKhan is extremely easy and can be done with 4-8 people easily, the AVs at the end don't hit that hard at all. MoCuda on the other hand is probably the most annoying master badge to get for people (apart from lamda/keyes), as with the ambushes at the end while fighting reich its better to clear all ambushes before actually fighting him, as getting dropped to 1 hp by reich then getting unlucky even at softcap defense being hit by some random 5th column dude happens way more than you'd think it would or could -_-

It is more common that a regular apex run will achieve master than it is for it to not, this is definitely by far the easiest master.
Master Tin Mage's Midnight Dodger can be done with nukes/shivs or just softcapping your whole team with colds/bubblers/veats/etc and melting him, he can go down real fast with a good group lessening the time that people need to worry about getting hit by a bomb.

LGTF has hami, which can be annoying with an uncoordinated or weak team, but can be allieviated by using EoEs and/or retreating after x number of mito kills.

Master of Underground honestly isnt that difficult and I think as time goes on it will show to be even more and more easy as people get more familiar with the trial.

Havent done Lambda and Keyes master runs yet as I havent been playing the game, but theyre the hardest from what I can tell just looking at the badge requirements and knowing the fights.

Fighting enemies without mezzes is a pretty lousy response, since the OP is obviously talking about dealing with enemies that do have mezzes. Positional Defense actually helps alot, and at the softcap you're reducing your chance to mezzed down to 5% from a mez that is included in that position (majority of it will be ranged, knowing what enemies mez in melee is generally good knowledge to have) and not named dominate (in which one can be absorbed by acrobatics), that is a massive amount of mitigation.

And if you do get hit by a potentially fatal or long duration mez, then don't stand around like a vegetable and pop a break free and continue on with whatever you're doing. Really the number of people that don't carry BFs or are too stubborn/stupid to pop them is mind numbing.

  24. Not sure about my actual stance on it going f2p, alot of things both good and bad about it. Although it might mean I actually return, if the community still exists after the change.
