OP's forum name in relation to thread title is win.
OP's question: BM from Maria, Council from Unai, Liberate from TV, Demon map (if you had it before it was removed from the game). Without the ambushes, you might as well just farm outside AE. I'll take my purple drops and like it. -
I believe all they said was specifically not i22.

Quote:Redraw on a dom? EwwwwLight/energy control and metal control (although a Metal skin for Earth Control/Assault might work) also come to mind.
I did like a suggestion someone made in-game today; a /Staff Assault set for Doms based on the upcoming Staff Fighting melee set. He wanted to make a Mind Control/Staff Assault monk character... -
Quote:/ah (/auctionhouse)Something like a 'town portal' power, let's me open up a portal to pop to a town zone, *but* let's me pop back to where I was. The long range teleports and ouroboros portals are nice, but I still end up having to trek all the way back to the hazard zone to finish what I was doing (Big example: First Ward. I either run all the way back to Talos/Cap to unload stuff at auction and/or invent stuff, spend way too long mailing things to myself, or bite the bullet and just sell it)
Wouldn't mind that as a consumable. a buck for, what 5-10 charges?
Craft in your base (or have the invention accolade work table) and exit thru the blue portal to get spit back out in the same zone you were in. -
What Chad said and also I'm not sure you realize how many toons would fall into 1 year /49 and under. That's MASSIVE. The last name purge I remember was lvl 5 or 10 and under and it freed up tons of names.

Quote:The +regen is still better, it adds a disgusting amount of survivability. HP Cap is most effective if you have large amounts of +regen, which ironically the +HP side of the tree doesn't give, and the sets that do give large amounts of +regen (WP and Regen) have +HP powers already. Elec and EA also give a bit of +regen but stacking it with rebirth regen would probably be more effective still. Also you should factor in that its a team/league buff. The majority of people will get far more use out of +regen compared to +hp, and many ATs sit at or close to the hp cap with minimal investment and won't get much benefit (or no benefit) from your buff.Actually I disagree on this, part of the reason is a Brute has a 122% to reach the hp cap for them, outside from Dull Pain, this is pretty much impossible to reach for a Brute. (Unless a Cold powerset is available)
If they were to rebalance rebirth to make the +hp side be attractive I'd probably say for the T4s make one side heal/+regen (same as it is now) and the other side +hp/+regen. If you're going rebirth you should go that route for the regen. -

Granted, there'll probably be balance problems if you remove the crash completely. Right now AR and Archery are only competitive with Fire (and outdo it, as far as aoe is concerned) because of the crashless nukes. Remove the crash and you leave Fire and maybe Sonic as the only top-tier primaries - but that's a whole new can of worms. -
I pick Pyronic for the fastest animation (as well as a solid DoT) on most toons. I took Void on a couple for the damage debuff. -50% dmg debuff for 30 seconds is really good.

I think more of the point will be: will placate even be worth using placate offensively? For example using placate>slash on a Nightwidow doesn't do anything for your dps. The half crits dont make up for the 1.5 sec cast time (longer wen factoring in server ticks) of you not dealing any damage while you cast placate. On my NW adding and subtracting placate from my attack chain while soloing rikti pylons did pretty much nothing for my dps and kill time, and that was before reactive interface came out, so it may actually hurt your dps at this point since placate can't trigger Reactive. I have a feeling that this will put stalkers in a similar situation as my NW.

Go Ice mastery and get to 45% s/l defense. It does help. You don't really have to sacrifice anything to get there (mine has 128% rchg+hasten on top of 45% S/L). The Defense is very nice to have so you don't have to use your long recharge controls on every spawn so that you can save them for when you need them. Plus as a Mind dom your controls wont always be up.
-
Who said you couldn't have both? It's not hard to make a WP build that has softcapped S/L def that also has 80%+ rchg
-
You want more recharge for your attacks to recharge faster. Having Footstomp recharging as fast as possible as well as having an actual ST attack chain requires more recharge than it takes for perma-rage (which as said, requires pretty much nothing). Your focus on recharge should be for your Gloom>Haymaker>KOB>Gloom>Haymaker>Punch(since you dont have burn) attack chain, and I'm sure someone out there can give you the necessary recharge to use such an attack chain. So yes, only going for enough recharge to get rage perma is bad, it's not the power that you should be looking at for recharge levels.
-
Just keep in mind that blasters will perform best when you utilize their melee attacks also.
-
Quote:You don't have to sacrifice so much dps for softcapped defenses, that I would call it a significant loss. 45% S/L defense and enough recharge to run a top ST dmg attack chain (typically 80-110% rchg from IOs) as well as a decent dmg buff isn't that hard to obtain in a build (price is a whole nother subject though).Blasters are fun but they require specific builds to handle large amounts of aggro. Also, those builds are significantly lower damage than pure recharge and +damage builds, so a Blaster optimized for team fire support is going to struggle more solo but add massive damage to a team.

Control is very useful against many of the mobs in trials as alot of the mobs hit very hard with exotic damage or have potent debuffs. When you reach an AV you still have many things you can do to stay useful and I've never felt like I was contributing less just because I couldn't mez an AV on either my dom or my troller. Trollers bring buffs or debuffs, Doms can bring competitive damage (and even better if you're one of those cool doms that take Sleet).

Hopefully the set will be out on the 22nd. I'm dieing of boredom without another toon to play.
-
Solution: Just change them to a 75% endurance crash, keep the recovery debuff. You will still need to pop blues or use a recovery power like consume or power sink to keep fighting but the toggle drop annoyance will go away, which is the main issue most people have with them I believe.

Quote:I really hope a solo option for incarnates doesn't use a tip mission model.Something a lot like Tip missions, with a mini-Trial at the end.
Doing my daily tips (when I actually feel like suffering through it) is by far the most unpleasant content I do in game. -
I've deleted about 70 lvl 50s. Many of which were fully IO'd and fully accoladed. Basically if a toon doesn't live up to my every expectation, it gets deleted, and if a toon can't keep up with the effectiveness of my other toons, it gets deleted.
To put it in perspective my lowest dps toon is a fire/time corr. Yes, a fire blast corr is my lowest dps toon. I've actually been pretty close to deleting it cause of the lack of dps compared to my fire/kin or fire/cold. Obviously anything that had lower dps than a fire/time corr wouldn't interest me either.
However the way I play is in no way similar to how most other people play, Kin/Sonic is awesome, I'd say roll a new toon first and play it to 50, and if you still like it more then go from there. Considering transfering rather than deleting is also a good idea.
