Of all the MoM runs I've been on, Taunting definitely affects the Storm Voids.

Quote:Yes! Add all of this! I needs it >_>Anime is actually quite poorly supported, because:
- Too little cute hair decorations in Detail 1.
- Too few wild hairstyles.
- No animated hair.
- No hair to the feet.
- Too few rage-fit emotes.
- Chest slider can't be below 10.
- School uniform generator is too limited.
- Eyes too small and still lacks expressiveness.
- Mouth too big.
- Nose too big.
- No face expressions.
- No way of setting eye colours.
- Animal ears don't flick.
- Too few sock options in Boots. (I mean, just baggy socks or grade D zettai ryouiki... sheesh)
- No accessories.
- No chainsaws. Well, that's not that big a problem, but still...
- Mechs to small.
- Mechs don't transform.
- Can't ride mechs.
- No implied nudity in costume change emotes.
- No animal pets.
- Skirts won't lift in the wind. Or flutter for any reason. So panty shots are tricky.
- No collateral damage (outside Mayhems, and even then it's limited: you have to use AoE or explicitly aim at a post box for it to explode).
- The world doesn't fade out to a whooshing effect when attacking.
- No beach episodes or hot springs episodes.
- No nose-bleeds.
- No maid or harem MM set.
- Poor swimsuit options.
- No rain.
- No jiggle physics.
- And no jpop song playing when logging in or out.
...just to mention a few of the most important things to fix. -
We got Perfect storm tonight. Didn't use any lore pets. (We did 2 runs of MoM, and I think we got it on both runs)
We also pulled off Master of TPN in a single run.
Everyone was really on the ball. -
Due to the way damage buffs work on brutes because of their low base damage and fury, Masculation isnt a very good choice for brutes.
-
Grats.
It would be nice if we got that many support ATs on champ, were in a rut where we tend to only get a few support each run. *sighs* -
If there were ever more enhancement slots added (and on that subject I think there are equally many pros and cons to it) I wouldn't want it to be tied to the incarnate system or requiring a trial/league. With that said I think the number of slots that we have right now is good, and adding more would just take away the fun of designing a minmax build.

I haven't had any big issues with TPN other than it is a little repetitive in all the 500 pt Public Opinion challenges. Though overall I feel the trial is good, it is not too hard, and I have never felt it to be too complicated, like certain people were overly complaining about. It was in general pretty easy to understand the basic idea of what had to be done my first time through and in the runs after that it was all gravy. Really, the trial is well balanced for where we are at in the incarnate system.
Sort of related to TPN/sort of not: Why wasn't the graphical effects that Maelstrom uses for his Marked for Death ability used for the UGT Warwalker Targetted mechanic? I can't be the only person that sees how easy it would have been to implement something like that since it was done for maelstrom. -
I went with Spiritual
If you don't have alot of recharge in your build (how much do you have? just curious) currently it will make an even more significant difference for you. -

Quote:The point of 32.5% defense is that it is 12.5% defense away from the 45% softcap, or in other words, 1 small purple inspiration. So this has been a question for me for some time but I have been trying to work out if one would get comparable mileage out of having moderate defense+resists in 50+% range as one would get if they were softcap'd to either S/L/E/N , Just Melee (or any one position) or even all positions.
I can't really do math for beans but if I understand the mechanics correctly if you have 32.5% you will be roughly getting hit one in four times, if you have 50% resists to all damage types present in that attack you will only take have half of any damage that manages to get past that defense.. Does that mean its as effective as having 43% defense (where you would be hit only 1 in 8 times)?
Sorry if this is abit of a confusing post. I have not made a build for a resist set in quite awhile and I am looking at either having S/L at softcap (with E/R being in the 30's) or having a very wide spread of defenses in the 30 range so I can tune more performance into my primary.
This can save you alot of slots and/or money not getting your build to softcap letting you improve in other areas, and still allowing an easy softcap on demand by popping a small purple inspiration if the situation calls for having higher defense. -
Quote:Crushing Blow is absolutely worth taking, it is very helpful for your ST dmg attack chain. How many sets (KC X 4 I guess) of Kinetic Combats did you have to use to achieve 45%? I am wanting to skip crushing blow.
Also, did you have to take the Body epic pool to mitigate END issues?
I have a TW/Elec brute and just started it. I need MIDS!
I took superior conditioning to increase my recovery and increase the maximum amount of end gainable with power sink; the more recovery/end I have the less often I have to use power sink, the higher my dps goes.
Here is my build for reference, pulls about 270 dps single target and can farm close to the speed of an ss/fire (but ss/fire is still faster)
Quote:Power Slice and Ablating Strike are the slotting for Crushing Blow and Follow through
1k cuts is the slotting for whirling smash
vengeful strike is the slotting for rend armor, the empty slot is an achilles heel proc
The rech IO in hasten is 50+5 via enh boosters
Incarnates will be Spiritual/Reactive/Rebirth
I'm considering picking up Cardiac or Ageless for soloing stuff though.

The Community. Would have left long ago if it weren't for the people I play with regularily, as well as the community on my server and on the forums.
-
-
TW doesn't mesh particularily well with click heavy sets due to redraw and the way momentum works.
-
Quote:All this was wy I chose Elec. Especially 1 and 2.I went for ELA for a few reasons:
1: Damage Aura - my TW/WP toon on beta found that he was always JUST shy of defeating massive numbers of minions, requiring me to waste another AoE where Lightning Field would've sufficed.
2: Tanking potential: Electric Armor is FANTASTIC for iTrials - capped energy, massive S/L, Psi Resistance, the whole 9.
3: End Management - TW is monstrous on the blue bar, so this is a no-brainer.
4: End Drain Resistance - To prevent Carnies and the like from ruining my fun.
That depends if you plan on picking up Cardiac and/or Ageless at 50. -
Quote:Yeah, tbh I thought alot of people would have gotten 50 before me, I didn't even use AE (and picked up 2 apocs, a hecatomb, and grav anchor while lvling up), but yeah I had all the sets I needed like 2 weeks ago, cause I thought the set would come out... 2 weeks ago, sigh.Shinobi had the sets all ready to go before TW went live. The fact that there are lvl 50 TW toons about can't surprise you mate.
Quote:Ew god, oblits only have a quad with end redux. If I have 4 oblits (death shroud, aod, whirlingsmashthing, that-other-not-defsweep-aoe), that is going to chew up a whole lot of endurance, even with pp, 2 shifters, numina, miracle, and some ios in stamina. :|Quote:Yeah, might not be as easy to soft-cap to Melee on a TW/Dark, but the EndRed will be necessary, and the extra E/NE protection will help out. I'm thinking of going with this combo, too, and it seems like it's going to be a tricky one to slot.
Quote:Is that with incarnate powers, or without? Kind of curious to know. My goal is to get my TW/Elec to purpled-out, incarnated 50 status over the next couple of weeks. I'm having a hard time deciding between Barrier and Rebirth for the destiny though, as both would be great for survivability. I'll probably go with barrier though, which would mean I only need 27.5 or 40% to R/A, allowing me to diversify the build.
Strangely, I feel myself drawn towards Agility despite the fact that I have no natural defense powers. I feel that it would help DS and the pool powers in defense enough to save some serious slotting and would still be good for extra recharge and abusing PS and LF.
I posted my build in the pylon thread if you want to look at it. I've got 45% s/l defense, so I'm taking Rebirth over Barrier, rebirth+energize will make for some pretty crazy regen, imo. I took spiritual since it has slightly better rech than agility and it also gives a slight boost to energize, health, and the stun in follow through, not big things though, I think spiritual and agility are both equally good for tw/elec. -
It's nice when people aren't bringing completely non lvl shifted toons to UG or the new trials. On champion, I and other league leaders usually ask that people are at least +1 for the UGT, will probably be the same for TPN.

Mmk, taking some advice from Combat on attack chain I got 268.78 dps (only did a single try, will do more later when I get my accolades and stuff).
My attack chain rotated through rend armor, follow through, arc of destruction, and crushing blow, in a "hit whatever was up" rotation. There is alot of room for improvement there. There were also sporadic gaps caused by various things most notably trying to hit follow through right as I lost momentum causing me to sit there for a sec. I also had to keep a few lvl 52 rikti bosses around me so that I could run my dmg aura as well as have power sink bait. I had to use Energize and Power Sink every 30-35 seconds, a build using Cardiac might get a better time if it meant not having to use energize/power sink constantly, since that ate into by dps quite a bit, I also didn't have any +end accolades. The only incarnate powers I had were T3 Spiritual and T3 Reactive. -
My Tw/elec brute is 50 and all purpled out and such, 45% S/L (didnt take defensive sweep) and 97% rchg before hasten. I tried a pylon earlier without alot of success, ie it died pretty slow. It was prolly my attack chain though and/or the fact that I'm not really built for it and/or only 1 -res proc (in rend armor), and my hecatomb in rend armor also (meaning less procs than putting it in follow through. May post my time if I can improve it some more.

Yes. TW is a fast set that generates alot of aggro.
