Master badges, not that theyre at risk of dieing, more that they bring very little to the team as far as damage and buffs/debuffs go, sure they can tank but a brute/scrapper/tank will do that better or you just won't need it entirely. TFs/Trials will take longer. Ouro badges will take longer. Potentially will need more people than you would otherwise to kill GMs. The OP did mention doing it quickly, and PBs are the last thing I think of when it comes to time efficiency. Their damage just isn't where it should be and they don't make up for it with buffs or debuffs.

MM is a horrible choice for a badger, from personal experience, tbh the only thing I'd say would be worse would be a kheldian.
edit: and any toon can just get the heal badges in the arena, in a night or two of farming; edit or rebirth spamming in trials -
I don't think cutscenes should be completely scrapped, they just need to be skippable. I'd suggest potentially giving the team leader the option to skip it for the whole team/league if individual skips won't work, but I can see alot of people not liking that.

What side do you pick more than others? Co-op.
What play style do you prefer? min/maxing endgame speed content.
What power set(s) do you favor? Fire Blast, Cold Domination, and Kinetics.
What zones do you like the most? RWZ.
Do you usually play as a male or female (word of hatred) ''toon''? my male:female ratio is pretty even.
Views on Role Playing? I'd rather die.
Servers?Champion -
Just go with it and if it gets generic'd rename it. Pretty much all you can do. I see alot of names that should be generic'd go unchanged for months/years. The only real way it would happen is if someone reports you for it, if it doesn't upset anyone and no one reports it, then you will more than likely be keeping the name for a long time.
example, a friend that played a long time ago had a spines/regen scrapper named Garrfield (with 2 R's), which was also the spitting image of said fat cat, he had the name for at least 2 years, then someone went out of his way to report him and he got generic'd.
I also had a friend that got 3 day banned twice for naming characters after copyrighted super heroes (all his names were X ____ and one of them was named X Deadpool), but that was a long time ago, pre i7 I think. AFAIK they don't ban people for that anymore. -
Quote:Just seconding this. I don't like to solo, however I only really play with friends, which many times means running TFs with less than the minimum. Having to constantly get fillers to start a TF is ridiculous, whether thats logging in our 2nd accounts to fill or having to ask for other people to fill. I've wanted this change more than pretty much anything else for a long time. There's really no advantage to the rewards, other than taking far less time to form and not having to deal with stupid pugs.I'd like to add being able to start them with less than the minimum requirement of party members. Just have the TF spawn enemies at the minimum difficulty the TF would (as of now) require, and let people solo or duo them to their hearts content, if they so choose.

Quote:I don't think it really has that much to do with casual vs hardcore. The rewards are based around casual play - hardcore Trial sessions aren't normal - people can - and I'm sure have - run 10+ Trials in a day - but that's nowhere near casual play.
You either spend 20 mins doing a trial and get (depending on trial) 1-2 emps, a few astrals, a random component, and a handful of threads.
Or you spend 20 mins doing a DA solo arc and get a random component and a handful of threads (as far as I know you don't get the emps and astrals, but please correct me if I am wrong). If you're not getting emps/astrals here that is plenty to balance out the 'needs a team vs solo' discrepency between trials and solo content for rewards.
Either of the above can be done by "casual" or "hardcore" players. The only difference is you can do the trials as much as you want/have time for whereas there is a hard lockout on DA content, which I think is unfair to those that would prefer to do the DA content. -
-
If this is true, I'm a little shocked..... well not really. But still, it's silly if they cap the rewards here, whereas incarnate trials effectively have no reward cap besides lesser emp merits, there is infinite number of reward tables, and the emp merit lockout is simply avoided by running through all the trials and/or switching toons if repeating the trial.

In PvP yes Ice Blast does underperform compared to Psy, Fire, and Sonic Blast, but so does every other blast set. It's not ice blast that needs to be tweaked here, it's PvP itself that is broken.
In PvE Ice Blast is a perfectly fine blast set. -
Quote:It'd be nice if the default was auto accept though, then the people who want to decline it can goto null. >.> Constantly being assaulted by pop-ups is more annoying than a 3%(?) tohit debuff or tower damage.RPers mainly (i remember one person in particular had a fortune teller character based around it and wanted the choice there), but a few were upset by the miniscule to hit debuff on one of them and some were upset by the speed increase in another.
As usual devs were faced with competing QQing and i think null the gull was a rather elegant solution. -
I'm pretty sure a loot fiilter wouldn't work as it could screw with drop rates in your favor, I can't see it being implemented for this reason.
You can however earn more recipe and salvage slots ingame, and you can buy more salvage/recipe/enhancement slots on the market. Past that you just need to sell periodically and/or delete things that aren't worth anything.
Eventually down the line you will get paragon rewards for remote access to the auction house and vault which help alot too. -
Quote:Exactly.Since 50 isn't a task to get to anymore, anything after hitting it is just fantastic and this would really give people something do, too and a reason to run missions by themselves other than farming. I know that sometimes, instead of doing the team oriented stuff and when i don't wanna farm I like to just toss on some music and do some storymode, so to speak and get into some content I like. Something to work towards that you don't need to team for like incarnates, you know?
This seems like a solid idea for people who just like to keep to themselves a little, gives them something to work at after the initial levels and if they decide to IO out a toon or something like that. For free players and VIP alike, this is a fantastic thought lol -

If you buy the 2 extra rows of enhancement trays you can strip 30 IOs at a time when respeccing. Was totally worth it for me.

Quote:The only thing you listed there thats strictly lvl 50 is incarnate stuff and purples, and for non VIPs it's just purples, and of those freems and prems many don't have access to the invention system or don't have the resources to afford purples. So, yes, I would say some additional rewards for the average player's lvl 50 toon would be a good thing. It completely cheapens the achievement. I like looking at my experience bar and seeing it completed.
Honestly do we really need more rewards for 50s? We have Incarnate stuff (Shards, Threads, Astrals, Empyreans), Reward Merits, Alignment Merits, Tickets, and you're still getting influence, prestige, salvage and recipes (and only 50s can use the purples).
Quote:As for Incarnate somehow "not counting", if that doesn't count then what will? The devs probably won't give any kind of post-50 reward that is decent and available to free players, especially if it's even remotely farmable. -
I can barely stand to do 5, the cool part about this suggestion is you can do pretty much anything and get progress towards your next chunk of reward merits or whatever. So you'd get it doing tips, or general teaming or soloing, or tfs, or trials, it's pretty much a win-win for any type of player.

I like the hand effects, but the hold and immobilize effects on the target are a bit of a letdown.

I don't get to use this excuse as all my toons are in my solo SG, but I don't really need to use it either, since I never PuG except for trials and even then I only join ones where I know most of the people or lead my own.
But it's like even if you're done with whatever group you're in, why even fabricate a lie, just say you have to go, why should the other people care why you have to go?
