My planned attack chain for my KM/EA stalker (once enhancement converters go live so I can actually IO it) will be:
AS>CS>BU>SB>BB>Repeat
AS with the stalker ATO to trigger hidden CS for auto recharge BU. CS needs quite alot of recharge however. -
Quote:I've seen the 'GMs' die near and she wasnt held. In those circumstances I usually just guess the game didn't register it or it wasn't quite close enough. I've just never concerned myself over it, since I've never failed over it, since if it doesn't work with one, you should always be pulling multiple GMs to her location in case one isn't killed properly. (which I am sure you know)This is something that I have seen happen 3 times... in a row... and that counts as enemy action.
During the fourth phase of the MoM trial, the normal strategy of dragging Giant Monsters into Shalice's path and killing them just isn't working for the first statue. This strategy works for the second and the third, but for some reason the first statue is being buggy as hell.
I think it might have just been the incompetence of the team, but after personally doing it myself... twice... I am now starting to think that the MoM trial is bugged.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Quote:A GM death creates a bubble in which Shalice becomes vulnerable to immobs and holds. You need two overlapping bubbles and Shalice in the overlap to stop her.
Quote:A mind controller with telekinesis solves almost all known problems with your MoM
You also need to be careful if you are TKing Tilman not to toggle it on until the boss is killed first, otherwise you can push the boss away from tilman resulting in a wasted kill. -
Yep. When slotted into a foe targetted power it will give endurance to the foe, not you.

Quote:If it is not working as intended, then it _should_ be fixed, better now than 3 months-3 years down the line when there will be many unhappy customers.yuo can pretty much guarantee that it won't happen now discoveries like this need to be kept tight lipped imo Hope thid doesn't get nerfed cause the op wasn't savy enough to keep quiet
If it is working as intended, and the developers do decide to nerf it, then it will be on them to refund people their points. But honestly, I don't think it's broken. It is better than the normal version, but so are all of the SBEs. And if they do nerf it, it's not going to be because of this thread. And if they don't implement the Gaussian proc at 1 PPM, it won't be because of this thread. If it wasn't meant to be in the game, then it wasn't meant to be in the game, thread or not.
Being all secretive over stuff like this is pretty silly. -
They haven't done Gaussians set yet have they? Cause the BU proc from that, if they follow trend @ 1 PPM, would be 100% proc rate in any BU or Aim power lol.
-
Nice find. Up until now I have completely ignored the SBEs, but this is pretty cool. Not sure if I will actually get any of them, but it is certainly an interesting avenue to look into.

I can't see SS ever being OP on a stalker unless for some reason they gave it 100% crit on Foot Stomp (if foot stomp even stayed). The issue is probably more that the devs don't consider it 'sneaky' enough, but they have been saying that about alot of things.

Go into the database editor and change one of one of the powersets you never use to be a semiclone of the powerset you want (like dark). All you really need to edit is what IO set categories each power can take, then for each power you can edit important things you want to monitor, like recharge or endurance or whatever and then you can get the rest of the info just by looking in game.
You can also edit the IO sets to make the ATOs. All the set bonuses are already in the database, including the procs.
Mids doesn't update super fast, but that doesn't mean you have to wait for them. -
This is the 3rd thread I've seem about this lol.

Quote:And Super Strength gains much more benefit from Patron/Epic AoEs than Titan Weapons does because of no redraw and rage. So while you can't compare SS aoe to TW aoe without factoring in TW cones, you can't compare TW aoe with cones to SS aoe without factoring in patron/epic aoes. All things being equal, Titan Weapons has more AOE attacks and thus higher AOE potential than super strength. The cone attacks also have a 10 foot range and two of them hit fairly hard. So while the SS scrapper will hit harder with foot stomp, the TW character has titan sweep, arc of destruction, as well as defensive sweep whereas SS has single-target attacks. Comparing similar powers one for one will favor SS and SS may outperform other single target sets, but even with raged up foot stomp, will it outperform the AoE sets in the manner you're suggesting?

ATO, or Archetype Origin, doesn't imply that they are IOs. If you said ATIO, then that would be technically wrong. Either way I don't think it's a big deal, whether people call them ATOs, ATIOs, ATEs, or whatever, people will get the point.

Quote:Well technically I got 3 of those purples the day before i22 went live, but that is still pretty much the same thing, I just said it the way I did for simplicity. And now consider the only thing I've been doing since i22 release is farming and running DA content, it really isn't that insane.
the new issue went live less than a week ago, so what you are saying is, you are averaging 2 purple drops a day. Personally, I find that rather hard to believe.
Whether you believe it or not is irrelevant, since even if I linked all the purples I got now, there is no way I could say I got them when I said I did.
It's actually quite typical of how I (and many other people) get purples. I will get a bunch within a few days then go months with getting barely any.
But the amount of stuff I got wasn't the point of my post, it just goes to show how the RNG can cause pretty much anything to happen. -
It's not just because it's pvp related. Things taking massively abnormal amounts of time to be fixed/balanced/debugged is not at all uncommon for NCsoft. At best being pvp related was only a contributing factor, and more than likely it was a small one. You just can't expect anything (pvp related or not) to happen quickly around here. -
Quote:Out of curiosity, would you be able to explain how TK would affect this scenario Dread? It would burn through a targets hold protection right?
Never been able to bring myself to take it off my Mind/Fire even tho it doesnt get much use since the days of leveling my main.Quote:TK would just act as a mag 6 hold on the AV (in domination). It doesn't stack magnitude beyond that (at least not for more than a brief tick). I imagine the prohibitive endurance cost would keep most builds from running it while maintaining an attack chain.
However there are 2 things it can be good for:
1) On teams people aren't likely going to wait around for you to stack mag 56+ holds on an av, so being able to lock them down faster does have it's merits. After your 5th hold, you can do a quick attack chain of Dominate>TK>Dominate>Total Domination>Dominate, which will perma hold your target ~6-7 seconds faster (and then untoggle TK after 2 more holds). Whether or not you consider that worth it is totally up to you. You will probably have total domination anyways.
2) Tilman in the 4th phase of MoM. After she is affected by a GM TKing her all the way back to the wall gives your league ALOT of breathing room.
Otherwise it's a very skippable power imo. -
Quote:That'll teach them to stop wasting their time sleeping them so they can put more(less?) time into actually killing them.Ever notice when you do an area sleep the first power to hit them is fireball?
*cough* -
Quote:Yes. Confuse has a longer base duration compared to a Dominator's Single target hold.Is Confuse particularly easier to stack enough mag compared to Hold?
Quote:Can ANY Dominator perma-control an AV with the right build?
Edit: I should say that any permadom dominator can do it.
Quote:Does anyone have the actual math for how much control duration and recharge is needed to pull this off?
However there are 4 asterisks to this.
1) A Domination boosted hold works in 2 parts. 1 is the regular duration mag 3 hold, and the other is the domination duration mag 3 hold. It is a total of mag 6, but there are 2 seperate durations, 1 shorter and 1 longer. Make sure to factor that in. Sometimes this can mean needing more than 10 mezzes to permahold an AV depending on what hold you are using and how much recharge you have.
2) If you are using an attack chain that would mean not using your single target hold immediately when it is up make sure you factor that in and add that time to R in the formula above.
3) Don't forget about your 5% chance to miss. For this reason you should be building for enough recharge to be able to stack more than the bare minimum to hold the AV.
4) Higher level AVs are resistant to mez which will cut into your durations. It is significantly easier to permahold a lvl 50 AV compared to a lvl 53 AV.
Quote:Any other tips or tricks on this topic? -
I wouldn't be putting the entire set in Midnight Grasp, only the proc (which is a nearly perma 63% dmg buff at 3 stacks). That leaves plenty of room for enhancing MG's high base damage. The best place for the dom ATO proc is in an attack that is an integral part of your attack chain.
-
First off, I am curious if Midnight Grasp can take the Dominator ATOs, since if it can slotting the proc there would be very beneficial. TBH if it can't slot the proc in MG I may end up entirely scrapping my idea of making a dark assault dom all together and go psi assault instead since it can slot it in Subdue (I think).
Second, has anyone worked out what the best attack chain for Dark Assault would be? I'm thinking Gloom>Smite>MG>Gloom>Smite>Siphon Life>Repeat, however I am unsure if that is the best available and the specific amount of recharge that each power would require. I'm not super awesome with maths in this regard. -
I've gotten 11 purple IOs, 2 respec recipies and 5 catalysts since i22 went live.
The RNG giving me good drops right now is no different than the RNG giving you low drops. Soon enough I'll be back to getting crappy drops, and you will be back to thinking the drop rates are fine. It's just RNG. -
Quote:Even if they are going to add more ATOs, they should still be account bound.Maybe they will be useful in some other kind of ATIO set at some stage. Remember that often we find stuff introduced doesn't fulfil all of its function immediately on release.
Empyrean and Astral Merits couldn't buy stuff initially - but now they are a useful currency.
In their current mode, nobody's ever going to need more than 6 Catalysts, which seems rather... pointless. If you get a drop per trial, run 6 and you got all you need. So I strongly suspect they will have some other, yet to be revealed, purpose. -
Quote:Just the slotted power. So, does Malice of the Corrupter apply negitive damage to ALL attacks, or just the slotted power?
The set itself is a very nice replacement for positrons blast. (although the proc isn't very good in an aoe, the enhancement value and set bonuses make up for it)
The Ranged defense isn't bad, even if you're going for S/L defense. -
Quote:These 2 powers take 2.9 secs to animate too, -res or not they're pretty crappy powers.Go Leviathan for an epic to get Arctic Breath to apply MORE -Resist. Bile Spray is also nice for it's pure Toxic damage, which is rarely resisted.
I did actually use Leviathan Mastery on my crab for a while when Arachnos ATs were originally released. It is vastly outclassed by Mu's Electrifying Fences and Ball Lightning.
