    A curiosity

One of the Regular Dom Team members is a lovely Plants/Ice Aggro-hogging-Tank, amazed sometimes how much damage she can take and dish out.

I myself have a Plants/Ice also, she's a lot of fun, Powerboosted goodness and frozen shards of doom over confused enemies (soon to be trapped in patches of Creepers).

I don't mind leading the third team as Ms de Wynter and have no real qualms about who comes with me for the ride.

    Pick me, pick me!!

Getting home a day early now so i'll have some time to catch up with you all. Looking forward to some more icy fun

    Oh sorry, let me rephrase..

I have Skyway Safey set up in Faultline, so can do that, then start the arc.

I'd advise anyone doing Faultline to pick the missions along with the usual mission owner so you can follow the arc and get the clues* that will unlock Ouroboros for your toon**.

*It's only Agent G's clue that counts for Ouroboros, but its a good set of arcs, so might as well follow the tale together.

**Of course someone could just open a portal for you. :P

Does the assassinstrike animation look cool at least?

    [/ QUOTE ]

To be more fantastical: You lean down like Ninja Blade/Dual Blade/Claws style, red lightning crackles from floor and between your arms like a large Jacobs Ladder, you are pulling energy from all around you, as the surge reaches its peak you pounce! Jabbing them right in the bojangles with large sparks everywhere. They are now classed as Barren.

To be more blunt: Claws Assassin Strike with sparkles.

I like it and at least you don't look like you're taking a [censored].
  5. Nice write up.

Trying this with the Dom Team (hopefully) tonight. I know a team that did went from 8 to 6 during the TF and no tank/brute, the final fight took around 90minutes, but was still a success. Will see what we do, we'll have pets ahoy!
  6. I have begun my 'de Wynter' family due to this. Huzzah!

Unfortunately I lied to you Screwloose, Contessa de Wynter was a Storm/Psy, I rerolled and she's an Ice/Ice Dom...Contessa just sounds evil. Sorry!

I'm juggling prenoms, but my lady will be a Storm/Psy.

    FEAR THE TORNADOS!
  7. So I'm the only one that finds it funny that we're not allowing [X] due to 'clipping' of [Y], but the default un-helmed Widows' default Shado hair clips oh so obviously into the collar? And that is not 'unprofessional'?

I can see and agree with not allowing VEAT costume pieces to be intermingled with other costume parts. I can deal with that. But not allowing you to have helmed/unhelmed options is a bit weak..unless you use a little discovered bug, just seems a bit half-[censored], especially when you want to use your whole [censored].
  8. That be what Stalkobot said. There isn't (at least in a few eyes) a solid playstyle for you to combat a mob with a degree of safety unless it is with [X] covering your buttocks.
  9. Can see why you'd enjoy a Dominator, they're a Blapper with holds, rather than a Controller with attacks. Corrs are more akin to Defenders...or my Offenders are more akin to my Corrs, I don't remember any more, they've seemingly merged into one cross-game AT; Corrender - destroyer of missions (also some buffs).

I personally find Heroes content dull (Nemesis/Nemesis/Malta/Crey..oh wait no its Nemesis), whilst I enjoy Villains, to each their own. But as said, if the content is what is getting you down, then a break from it would be better.

Actually I only find this game 'dull' when soloing, no matter the AT, but thats just me.
  10. As a pseudo-Vet of the old regular all dom, I wouldn't mind joining the newbies as I'm likely to create an i12 Earth/Fire or Earth/Thorns Dom. I always like teaming with folk that want to try an AT out, regular team can be the best thing for that, helped people play villains for the first time and go on to create their own toons there.

Pref Days: Wednesday, Friday to Sunday (this may change as Ice/Storm/Cold is only suggested as Monday, I have my own thing Thursday and Old Regular Dom might still go on, but on a different day...maybe).
Time: 7pm UK (found this best for at least hour and a half for folk outside the UK and then another hour of good times)
Build: If after i12 Earth/Fire or Earth/Thorns. If before no room for new toons (boo!)
    Global: @Drakmarth & @Drakmarth2

This might be a fun way to get back in game for me when I12 comes, so sign me up for a plant/storm troller (or a cold/something def if there are already too many /storm trollers).

This is looking to be a Storm Fiesta, but that's not a bad thing.

I snuck them in with a ninja edit

    Not ninja enough!

Storm/Ice Defender for me I think.

EDIT: Are you going to organize team colours/costumes?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Echo mentioned that there MAY be team costumes in the future, but we don't flow that way. Dom team we played our own cossies, gives a bit more individual feel within a team environment.
  13. You forgot all the */Ice for Tanks. :P
  14. Think the plan is for a Dom team from level 1 (or at least that is how I read into it).
  15. [ QUOTE ]
I'm up for that, a bit cold for my liking but i'm for anything, i'll probably go for a StSumm Controller, haven't tried one of them before!?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You'll be in for a treat. Great think about Storm wherever is how nearly every power is often useful, but not every power is often used. Allows each mission to be more than just your usual A-B-C formula.

More Tornados the better I say though.

    [ QUOTE ]
Mondays are good, when do you think they'll release i12? How long do they usually test for?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Can be a few weeks, depends on the buggyness. A new set or two are one thing, but a whole new AT with branching and a new zone with new enemies as well as handing over powers from one side of the universe to another needs more than a passing glance.

On the power pro-side there doesn't seem to be much issue, but Widows and Banes need more tinkering in my eyes.
  16. I'm up for this madness especially with the new free slots. Will likely be a Storm/Ice Deffy or maybe get all damagey with a blaster...actually my Defenders are played the same way as my Corruptors so the damagey part won't be a problem.

Too bad I have an Ice/Cold Corr already. Hmm Cold/Psi? ...wait could do Psi/Ice..or Ice/Mental blaster.

    Dammit Screwloose.
  17. Hurrah for it posting my post when it told me it couldn't post anything..
  18. Either its a bug, glitch or due to the fact Wolf Spider, Bane Spider and Crab Spider all look extremely different they are giving you the option see how you would look, colours, etc.

Unfortunately Blood Widows, Night Widows and Fortunata all look the same, they even provided the Night/Seer Helm in that respect, but for some reason didn't add the buttcapes. This is partly what made me think that the Wolf/Bane/Crab is a bit of a glitch.

Live I wouldn't be surprised if those armors are locked away until 24.

    The Hive-Mind

Oh, btw, we have an inherent.
  20. Drakmarth

    The Hive-Mind

Could associated with inherent? I dunno if that's been mentioned already elsewhere and confirmed.

Anyway, storywise I could see the Hive Mind being used. It won't be the first mention of it and the first use of it or abuse of it as per the Gally/Hugo Arc. If the VEATs have begun to are eventually break away from Recluse/Arachnos then I can see some nice arcs with Bane Spider's recognising 'you' as an Outsider and Traitor due to not being linked into the Hive.

It'd be quite cool for some NPC Banes equally breaking away and allying themselves with 'you' as a saviour.

That is if they go down a rebellion route at all, if they did I'd prefer being completely loyal to Arachnos at first, but then down the line the arcs twist to that outcome.

Arbiters like Daos are fully commited the vision of Lord Recluse, I can see that certain Executioners could be loyal without will repression, better to have people close to you that aren't likely to 'snap out of it' and bonk you on the head, right? The Hive is more mass control to keep things even.
  21. 10-year-old Goth daughter? Surely that's two years too early for being sullen and morose. Give her that My Little Pony back dammit.
  22. My Sonic/Sonic is a Corr and I love her dearly, just really a more aggressive Defender (and really all my defenders are aggressive anyway).

In teams I found that I was spamming my Screech, Howl and Siren's (hey it's a cone attack) more than anything else, with bubble and field always on. Great fun. I was the only debuffer on an Ice Mistral SF and though it took a while (mainly because the AV is a doity cheater with two huge heals) -Res was the only thing going and we eventually defeated him. My success though won't change people and their apparent need/desire/blinddevotion to Kin and Rad (I actually got kicked from a team because I didn't have a heal).

Just because Thermals have heals/debuffs/buffs, especially when you consider the lovely choice of Thermals we have on villains, the All Thermal All The Time (all powers), the h34l0rs (just heals), Shieldy McGree (just shields), the [censored] (havetotakeheal and...rez).

Shame you deleted the defender though.
  23. The higher your MM goes the more minions you end up under your belt cycling their chain of attacks, and by 32 you have both upgrades (I hope) and that means there's more attacks being cycled by more minions.

Sure some zap a little more power than others, but conversely I find my thugs fire more often than my bots. Plus with Thugs you get fire damage from your Chimp Arsonist..sure he might die, but he'll die in a blaze at least.

It's that bloody Bruiser that does me nut in. Go Little Rock GO!! *Little Rock runs in, stops just before the mob* ... *realisation kicks in* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO--*HANDCLAP* And then he'll stand there waiting for it to cycle round, no matter how much I GoTo his dumb [censored].

That's when I decide never to equip him........until two missions later when I've forgotten.
  24. I do see it being a Mu-style Sentinel for some reason (slight different animation, same attack scale to my knowledge).

I took Sentinel on my Storm/Elec just because I couldn't think of anything else, I do forget to resummon it from time to time, it *does* add to the damage, but the reason I forget is because it isn't a be-all-end-all power.

Maybe for a Domi that could be different, but in my head it is 'If I need something else at 38 I'm taking it' at the moment.
